A qhick tip on sticking sticky things first time: align it in place before peeling the backing off the sticky bit. Either gaff tape it in place, so that it "hinges" away and back again easily, or align in place with clamps, put masking tape on the box around the edges of the pad in profile and then use that as a guide.
Went a similar route. After 25 of plastic boxes, I thought it was time to upgrade (it is also quite annoying that every time I stuff something into my side pannier, which opens sideways, the content tries to escape.). For the panniers, I got a good deal on some lightly used brand name stuff. But top boxes...oh my. Decided to be a cheapskate here as well and get me some new China aluminium boxes.
I dont think il get pannier boxes prob bags i feel like in the city they are to wide and with offroading they would snag everything and either break or pull me down. But i guess for long roadtrips on tarmac they are really nice and convinient.
I've always thought about getting a case set for my motorcycle (which funnily enough is also Chinese, comes to show how much of a cheapskate I am too xD) so this is super convenient hahah. Thanks for testing it out, great video!
You are right, i shouldve!! like i said i dont really have something to compare it to but it is so far all working well and made of mostly alluminium all the hinges work great and there is no play anywhere really.
i got the 45L one i would suggest that one, it fits a normal helmet easily and a MX helmet with some "convincing" (including the peak but i had to tilt it down a little)
I think you cant bc the leverage on the bolts might become to big (havent tried it though)but what im thinking on doing is putting loops or straps on the place the handles are bc there are some slots where that can be tied to
@@giggleviking did i use the wrong term? By livery i meant the wrap on your t7, the sand and green colours alongside the text and the brand on the rear panel.
@@ThePresidentofMars aha no i googled it and it just seems that my english vocabulary is just not that extensive. I thought you meant to say my DElivery and the text in my video haha) learned a new word today at least, thank you XD

I think quality is the thing that interests the most-how is the value for the price. You could have emphasized on that a little more 😊

Dude,I have exact top case on my T7.
Nice how do you like it?
@@giggleviking there are compromises with hinges and locks, but otherwise is rock solid. No vibrations or annoying noises (yet) :)
I like stuff too 😮
Did we just become best friends?
Hey mate, what one did you get from AliExpress? I can see there's a 45L and 45L X. What size would you recommend of the 45, 55 and 65?

Can you still install the grab handles with this setup?

I love your livery, though it could do without all the text
