I grew up in villawood back in the 80s and this car was our introduction to turbo hot hatches when we first started driving and doing laps in the area. It’s great to see young adults still loving these old school vehicles as they have so much character. Good job father and sons.
I Built one in the 90s, 25psi t3. tell the boys to swap the trans to a 4 speed the gears are physically wider and will take more KW before they blow. I did try a modified Auto box, that was insanely fast but lasted 2 weeks. Apart from straight cut race box that you will continue to strip the teeth off the 5 speed even with 10 psi.
👍Nice, I had to do some thinking to work out what year it was when I had the exact same white ET Pulsar but my spoiler was black. I got one back in 1996 at age 20, had it for 2 years. I remember it being a fun car to drive. I next had a white 1992 Corolla GTI hatchback for 10 years. I like hatchbacks, currently driving a 2007 Golf R32.
Always wanted a et turbo I think they have dated pretty well they look late 80’s even 90’s on exterior this one is modded well with the standard clean interior , I remember the autosalon days when these would get fitted with body kits that would always make em look worse than stock they have enough on the bodywork to know it’s not a standard pulsar it’s a credit to these young blokes and the fact they would not have been born when these were released or even in there popular modding years
The trick back in the day was to change the gearbox internals over for the n13 internals. I had no breakages after doing the conversion and mine was making 250fwhp for a number of years
Good to see, older import cars like the ET pulsar being fixed up. At my local wreckers, there was one nothing wrong with it. That been put, in between two cars in a stack and the roof got crushed a bit. I mentioned about it, to the front desk apparently the car wrecker boss doesn't give a sh*t and only cares about money for scrap. Considering he can get more money for the car itself. 🤦♂️ Just frustrated the sh*t out of me, when wreckers around the country do this! Instead of saving good cars.
Love to own this.
Had a couple back in the 90s
So good to see the boys following there Dads foot steps, great role model.
I had a silver one when I was 19. Loved that thing.
Good stuff lads. I miss mine. Got rear-ended by some muppet near Belco shops. Such great cars, and yours is an awesome example. Well done.

Always wanted one but never ended up owning one. Reminds me of the early 2000s!
sickk my mate had an ET when we first got cars soo cool
That’s a Gem boys.
Could you get the gear box built?
As long as they're still available, a mate had one with dog gears fitted first through fourth.
