Great video! Simple language, I’m not mechanically inclined, but feel confident I can “get r done “. Got a kick out of the sped up part, and appreciated the honesty about forgetting the magnets.Anyone can make a mistake, not many people are willing to admit it. Thanks and good luck.
Since I don't have one of those hydraulic lifts to get my SUV high enough, I can't get enough leverage to remove the bolts. I'll have to invest in an impact tool to get the bolts off.
Get a 3 ton jack and jack stands at harbor freight. I got a nice Daytona one for $150. You can also just buy ramps, hell you could also drive the fron wheels up onto a curb.
To generate torque to remove it, you can put a pipe over the end of you socket subject to the room that you have. Torque is force times the length of the lever arm.
A couple of errors here. Didn't use a torque wrench. Didn't measure fluid and just kinda "winged it" which is not smart with a potentially SMOD transmission. Not super accurate, I would hate to have a service tech miss these obvious elements of the job that's actually a paid service.
This is not a full flush it’s only a drain and fill which only removes about 60% of the fluid or so. Then you can drive around for a couple months or so and do it again and it’ll be about 80% fresh fluid. Then you can do it again and again until you’re satisfied. 2-3 total should be plenty for about 30k miles at the least
A good trick for gasket installation is to use Permatex gasket sealer on the matting surface of the pan. It is tacky and dries fast. Position the gasket on the pan, match up the holes and press in place. Once set you caninstall the pan without worry about gasket shifting during bolt reinstallation. Best trick for any gasket install. I coat only one side so any future removal will be easier with gasket only sticking to one side of the pan or pump.

My Xterra maintenance schedule says to replace the filter every 150,000 miles. So, I won't be taking my pan off anytime soon.
seems pretty straight forward. Plan on doing this around the 100k mark for my 2011 nissan xterra. Thanks dude!
A lil OD, drain and fill usually works for me !!! You did a great job 👍🏼
Thanks for the great video. I am way behind on services for my 2014 Pro-4x. Time to play catch up.
Nissans are great cars at least the older ones ! My 06 Xterra 4x4 is great ! One of the best reliable 4x4s ive had ! The Zs were great also.

What kind of transportation is Nissa using? Is it a cvt made by jacko?
What brand and part number for screen?
This a common method when doing a nissain xterra dealership transmission flush?

Hi there, only issue is the risk of having a small amount of sealing material intrusion into the transmission.
Never ever use a sealer on your gasket.
These 2WD Xterras going dirt cheap now a days
who wants a 2wd suv- makes no sense
