It’s simple really. The slim version is thinner model but the same price of a regular PS5, which it shouldn’t be considering past slim models in previous generations were ALWAYS CHEAPER. And the Pro is an overpriced piece of hardware that you’ll end up forking over a couple hundred more dollars if you want the extra installments like a disc drive. Oh and the graphics, are SLIGHTLY BETTER. Way to go Sony!
@@MusicJunkie37Get a used first edition ps5 with disc. You will save a lot of money and you might even get a game with it. Spend the extra bucks on a cooling system and you will be good to go. You have to keep in mind the console and cooling system will be kinda big, like a small desktop.
Well, the the pro has always been for enthusiasts. Having said that, the lack of a disk drive included for the pro is ridiculous. I upgraded from the slim. I'm really happy with my purchase, and I’m really glad I didn't listen to the negative chatter online, trashing it. I’m a big FF fan so FFVII Rebirth has been a really SIGNIFICANT improvement. But none of the games have reached that level of better quality and performance. Stellar Blade and DD2 are also a lot more than slightly better and I can clearly see and feel the difference. Other games are minor, true, but I do notice the difference. The 2tb storage has been pretty useful to for my large catalogue. One thing I wasn’t expecting was that pro doesn’t get as hot as my slim did. So, I was surprised to hear that was different in this video. For most it wouldn’t be worth it now, but once GTA6 and other games come that have strong benefits on the pro, the argument for one becomes more compelling. We can expect a bump in sales with the release of GTA6. So, if you are deciding between a slim and a pro you would have to take that future consideration into account.
I thought about getting a slim because it's more convenient to travel with and i wanted a better wifi speed but the pro is slimmer than the og and offers better wifi. So I went the pro and I'm very happy with it. Runs a lot smoother. I heard that fan noise is louder on the slim so that kinda turned me off too.
@Zahnnnnnny oh ok. Yeah I watched a few videos where they test the fan decibels so that's where I got my assumption. I was comparing from og to slim and the slim was slightly louder. That's good its quiet.
I’m not the person in the video but you can’t compare heat dissipation between these consoles. Too many variables. Unless you play the same game for an hour or two through the same levels and do a before and after test which most content creators won’t do. I’d like a pro even though I feel it’s overpriced compared to an og or the slim model. The extra features and future resale value are a bonus but the initial outlay is a big difference
Here’s my advice: this past Christmas I had my PS4 console since 2015 until now I finally got PS5 digital console all it takes time and patience, I wanted the OG PS5 console since it’s was bulky and bigger and I realize after all these years I’m use to the physical disc drive while I was using the PS4, it’s time for change on physical gaming I see why PS5 slim doesn’t have disc drive unless you buy the disc drive as a accessory. Anyway I love your video also great advice and “HAPPY GAMING”
I already have both consoles. At first, I had the original Playstation 5 Digital Version, but I ended up selling it and buying the Playstation 5 Slim Disc Version instead. Then, when the Playstation 5 Pro was announced, I pre-ordered it and got it on the day it launched. So I now have the Playstation 5 Slim and Playstation 5 Pro and I intend on keeping both of these two consoles in my setup as both have a lot in common visually and aesthetically so having the Playstation 5 Slim on one side of my entertainment center and the Playstation 5 Pro on the other looks very pleasing to the eye in my opinion. Also, I just never intended on selling, trading, or getting rid of my Playstation 5 Slim in the first place regardless of the Playstation 5 Pro coming out, which I knew I'd also want. Now, I use the Playstation 5 Pro as my main/primary gaming console, and I use my Playstation 5 Slim console to watch movies on like UHD 4K Blue Rays or DVDs. The Playstation 5 Slim will also be a backup console for any other games I might want to play after my storage runs out.
Thanks for this video bro Really appreciate it I'm getting the slim Reasons: Bank My TV is 2k And I'm not really into big consoles, all my past PS has been slim models
Nah your wrong about the storage of ps5 slim. It comes with 1tb while the ps5 pro comes with 2tb and the regular ps5 comes with 825gb
yeah, you're right, my mistake.....
Nah slim have the same as the fat model 825gb

So what do you recommend? New slim or used first iteration PS5?

Well the fan on the slim isn't loud i have it and I barely even hear it stop going by word of mouth 😂😂😂

3:40 I've heard the exact opposite actually in regards to the cooling, where did you get that info from?

Exo One
@@playstady Thank You! :)
Slim has 1TB
Important is playing games on it, PS5 slim or pro,
In video it talks about it....
The slim is not to be considered ‘compact’. The thing is huge! 😅
It's like comparing RTX 3080 with RTX 3090 ti.

I have all the ps5 ever made and they all amazing but is cooler with the pro
PS5 slim was $100 off. PS5 Pro didn't. Easy decision at $550cdn for the disc ps5 slim vs $960cdn for the pro. $410 premium eh? No way.
Thanks for this video bro
