I ended up getting a slightly shorter rod from amazon, even though you made this recomendations I just didn't want to have to add another app to get a deal. Looked like a solid choice though and I may come back to it if i need a longer rod. Thanks for sharing the info and experience.
Your welcome. Don't get the AliExpress app if you have an addictive personality! Also, I have tried looking at other sites like wish and Temu in the past and they seem to just sell all the stuff that AliExpress can't move. You should just jump on the website and have a browse.

Like the look of this rod as my first BFS rod. Was going to get a Venom but think I might prefer a 2pc. You think it would be ok for estuary and river land based flicking?

Thanks for the sub! I would saw it's medium, definitely not hard or soft. I don't have any rods that are softer than this though so I can't really compare it but it's good.
Hey mate - how's fast is the action on the cast? I've got an acura paired with a kingdom silver needle - it's rated to 1g but a bit fast in action, so you have to strong arm the cast a bit for the lower end of weights. Was wanting something a bit softer so casting can be more of a lob using a deeper rod load.

You won't be able to cast as light with that reel but if you use this rod it will likely help you cast a bit lighter than whatever your current rod is.
Maybe, but I need to buy these with my own money so I have to be careful when choosing. I am more interested in the loongze DC when the new colours come out.

@@RicardoReview have you tried the fix yet with some Teflon tape? Peter posted that in the budget BFS Facebook group yesterday. I haven't done it yet but casted mine again yesterday and wasn't too bad apart from the retrieve smoothness and the very noisy bearings.
They was a 1.98m version so I wonder if the delicacy blanks are that long. I got the 1.8 however. Cheap travel option for occasional use that isn't as nasty as a sougayilang

Delete wish and Temu, they are trash. I have used AliExpress for more than 10 years

Definitely. Personally a way better option for that over a Venom. Bigger casting weight range too

This one is medium fast, if you want a slower longer rod then I'd recommend the 7' version of Acehawk AG Venom.

Yea in nog on aesthetics too, not much that will match with it apart from gloss black reels. Mavllos delicacy?

@@yep.fishing can't talk nasty of sougayliang because I just got 320 meters of 3/5lb fluoro for 0.04€ on a superdeals mistake.
One thing I'm very picky on and won't skimp on quality is line. I just go off what the line laboratory recommends.
