Just started pulling my Mercedes motor yesterday was curious what you used for motor mounts. Thanks for the videos they helped me gather up some parts in advance to getting going much appreciated 🤙
You’re right brother it happened to me but at the time when I was doing my build, I couldn’t find a v8 version and if I did they were way over priced so I ran the V-6 trans then when it blew up I bought all the v8 gear rebuild set for about $800. I have a very strong transmission now.
@@lukesummerfield9899 I know there’s another person on UA-cam that built a C230 using the stock transmission. I want to say his channel is bloodsport something with blood in front of it. Send him a message and he’ll fabricate you that adapter but I know it’s expensive. Coming soon I will be pulling out the 4.8 and t5 and putting a 6.0l with a t56 next .
I am currently having some issues with my '03 C230K. It had a small fire by the starter and cooked some nearby wiring. This in addition to a transmission issue I was about to investigate before the "fire". I have the engine harness removed to replace some wiring. The starter is sent out for a rebuild. If there are any issues when it goes back together then look out, an LS is next!
Could you do a video on how you connected your fitech ecu I’m confused on if you use the oem 4.8 ecu and harness or just the fitech? I have zero clue when it comes to wiring stuff up
@@mirandajr631 thank you for subscribing brother. If you have welding experience the manual is here to build it it’s not hard, bro. The motor will fit in perfectly.
@@mirandajr631 the labor, which is the swap I charge $4500 and you bring me all the parts the driveshaft I could get it made here it’s around 475. But the best thing is to look around for the motor and the transmission you want to use . And let me know which transmission you’re gonna use because not a lot of them will fit and that Transmission tunnel it’s too small
I’m considering doing an LSswap in my 09 C350 W204. I want that LS reliability. Shouldn’t be too difficult from other Js swaps I’ve done. Where did you get your drive shaft done?
@@remone2013 I purchased those motor mounts from eBay and then I modified them to work from my application somewhere in one of the videos. You will see me creating something different with the motor mounts that I purchased. Anything else you need brother let me know I got you

@AverageFirearms I’m running a t5 out of a 92 Camaro or trans Am , I recommend you to get a V8 version. I was using a V-6 and it blew up the gears.

I was waiting for these video my friend.

Thanks bro.
You could probably gut the dash display and replace with a custom diy unit, then all the useful gauges would be more or less in the OE spot.
