- Many of you have said over on Instagram that you would like for me to do a video on 'How to hide the mummy tummy'. So last week, I did a quick 10 minute video with a few nifty tips and tricks on how to dress to hide your belly, without leaving you looking and feeling shapeless.
There is nothing more time consuming than being a mum, and in the midst of the motherhood grind of school runs, housework, clubs...(the list goes on) we fade from our lives. We lose a sense of our fashion individuality and dress in practical clothes because we're not sure how to dress our new body shape. We lose confidence in our looks and our style. But clothes that are fitted and well cut can be every bit as practical as baggy ones, it's just a question of learning what clothes are right for your body shape.
I hope you enjoy watching this video and learn some great new tips on how to hide a tummy.

I was really hoping for a video that actually helped people with a mom pouch. You don't have one. So it doesn't work.
Aw man. I couldnt even pay attention to anything you were saying because all I was thinking was how skinny you are!!! I'm 4 months post partum and struggling with my weight but if I diet I'll lose my breastfeeding supply. Off to see if I can find some real tips.
You’re right to absolutely not worry about dieting. And please don’t worry about your weight after having a baby. As I said at the end of this video, your body is incredible right now. You’ve given birth to your gorgeous baby and you’re breastfeeding. Kudos to you. These clothing tips I used every time during pregnancy and after. They worked.
Love all these styling tips. I have been missing these like ALL my life! haha. How to accessorise, add a finishing touch and a tuck and look polished. you are covering it all and I am so grateful. My wardrobe is like a brand new playground for me and i really am enjoying what i have a 100% more. Also the Jerry Springer moment at the end was beautiful. I have gone through similar. And you are spot on. how we treat ourselves - our body, our fashion, our fitness has knock on effects and we should be kind to ourselves and each other. xx
Ahhh Jill I am so touched that you are enjoying them. I hate to sound cheesy, but it really means a lot when you know that they're helping someone. It's why I love doing them. I'm glad that you like the 'Final Thoughts' moment. Haha! I felt like it needed to be said. xx
I so needed to see this video. I loved your tips, but most of all, I love your inspiring last thoughts. It put everything in perspective.
Candace Moriyama thank you so much Candace. I was really self conscious of how I looked after I had my first baby. My skin was really awful, I got adult acne, and then after I finished breast feeding my boobs all but disappeared. It’s so easy to get hung up on these things and be self conscious. Then you think about everything you’ve been through, the labour, the sleepless nights, the stress...it makes you realise how incredible women are. We shouldn’t be so hard on ourselves. Xx
Hi where are your tshirts and necklace form??
What is the brand and how can I find a shirt in that style ? The striped one with buttons.
That one was from Mint Velvet. It was a couple of years ago now, but they are great for doing flattering fits with their clothing.
Thanks!
Too bad fashion in 2021 doesn't cater to mom pooch.
amog us? 😳
