I actually saw one of these in real life thanks to the CAF. The coolest things to look at were those giant wheels and huge twin fins.

RIP Texas Raiders. That incident on 11/12/22 could have happened to Diamond Lil. Diamond Lil was right behind the collision and was the closest airplane to witness it and that crew is one of the most important group of witnesses for the NTSB. especially if they have videos and photos from their vantage point.

Wikipedia says its currently under going restoration to airworthiness, but if this video was shot recently, I highly doubt it

I hope it doesn't fly. After Texas Raiders and 909, the B-17s that crashed and burned in 2022 and 2019 respectively and lost many lives, I want all B-24s to stay grounded. There are only 14 B-24s remaining and 2 are airworthy. Diamond Lil, the Texas based B-24 that still flies, was flying directly behind the B-17 Texas Raiders and that could have been Diamond Lil who could have been destroyed instead. I bet they put the B-17 in front as the star of the airshow because of all the propaganda during and after WWII that overhyped the B-17 and completely ignored the B-24.
The Witchcraft B-24 which is the only other airworthy B-24, has been grounded for tourist flights because the owner of the 909 B-17 poorly maintained the engines of 909 and that led to the tragic 2019 crash so the FAA punished the Collings Foundation for an indefinite time period.
