finally some good fucking sounddesign no fucking around just straight to the point... i always forget how powerful vital is thanks for the reminder... sounds so sick
Man I discovered vital because of you and it’s become my preferred synth. I still love serum but damn vital is versatile. Thanks for the weird noises 👾
Great vid, always watch your channel when im feeling uninspired to get some coolio ideas, and a few powerful propulsions of air out my nostrils. Thanks for the tut. Have a good week, sir.
So for 8:56 I find that using a real disperser plugin (such as Kilohearts one) gives a much wetter sound than using the massive EQ3 disperser technique for a lot less of a CPU cost. Disperser was easily one of the handiest plugins I've bought, cannot recommend it enough for these types of sounds. Thank you for the tutorial I learned a lot of new tricks!
I never comment on shit, but after long time lurking and learning so much from your vids, just had to show you some love, dude. You're the best channel doing this! As someone in not the greatest of financial times, but trying to become educated on production -- I appreciate you immensely. Just grabbed Flux off Bandcamp. I'll be working that into a DJ set real soon. Much love and respect, Bunting
Yo Bunt... You've helped me so much🫵🔥🥀 Thank you... I'm still mixing this kind of stuff with "bluegrass" I know, I know, sounds crazy... But if you go deep... And start sound designing the Bluegrass itself as well... Crazy awesome shit starts to happen... 🥀🥀🪕🎻🎚🎛🎹🥀🥀 You do great work... Don't ever stop...
Just found your channel and am blown away with how helpful it is. I've been trying to digest your call and response video by analyzing some of my favorite songs. If you make another video on call and response or really any song writing technique could you analyze Split Personality by Deathpact? So many ideas going on there. It seems like simple call and response but I don't understand how all the variations work so well together. A video on how/when to use bass/drum fills would also be helpful. I understand they are used to build tension but it doesn't seem like there is a formula. Why are they typically at the last half bar of every 4 or 8 bars? When use a "riser" type fill vs a growl or toms etc. Lots of words sorry
Could you make a tutorial on how to make a mix sound fully dimensional? Your track throughout the entire video sounds very full and my mixes always end up sounding flat compared to this, as if they only occupy one field. I don't know why, cause I do mid side EQing and I do put my sub in mono etc.
will do, a lot comes down to sound design in making gr8 full spectrum sounds and post processing them well check the post processing video but i might make a vid on this in particular
I’m sure it’s easily learnable once I understand vital or serum better but I’ve been trying to figure out how Micman gets sick deep wubble growl noises lol
Ah, the womps, squonks and cromps, of course of course. You, my good sir, truly understand Tipper and the magical dripping sploinky bwaumph language that he speaks. Thank you for your excellent analysis and walkthroughs of your fantastic flavor of this style. Love it.
Great stuff as always! Do any of your videos address when to layer a clean, direct out sub, vs processing the sub along with the rest of the highs? Or skipping a dedicated sub altogether? I'm always scared (to a fault) to run my sub thru any processing because I don't want to weaken it.
Always love your videos man. Was wondering, did you go to any production school and if you did would you recommend any to learn my way around ableton and preferably specialising in bass music type stuff if possible
I got ableton, serato dj and studios…this is the program I need lolol…any suggestions on equipment/ Instruments I should get? Got the keyboard and pioneer tables…
moving combs/phasers/peaky filters and or messing with the spectral modes could probably get you close but the hyper clean quality of it is from additive synths eg razor harmor otherwise a freq shifter could have a similar effect
Love the tutorial, brother! The tipper stuff is dope! The sounds are great, but how do you write these riffs? How do you know what lfo shape to use or where in the beat it goes? How do you know when to use an lfo for rythym vs writing the rhythm with the midi? How do you decide where the types of sounds go in the measure? Can you recommend some heuristics?
check my arrangement and songwriting playlist on the channel, i also talk more about riff stuff in my resonant language specific video, will cover more on this as well

This is undoubtedly the best video about tipper sounds in the history of videos
Right in time for Tipper n friends

Waiting till T&F weekend was a smart choice hahaha. I couldn’t make it this year so this is exactly what I needed today

Maybe try adding some reverb and delay to certain sounds in your mix. Always helps out my mixes when it doesn’t sound full
will do, a lot comes down to sound design in making gr8 full spectrum sounds and post processing them well

@@BuntingMusic thank you, i would love that, also the post processing video was so good i watched it several times
need width? *chorus*

Figure out the Vorso hyper chord basses

Magical dripping sploinky bwaumph 😂👌 nailed it
bro lol you could be up on mainstages at festivals like infra.. your shit is top notch
Can we please get a MIckman or peel vid!!!

soon, most of what matters in sub tho is the level, so compress & mono sub and you’re usually good
you're a g dude
Always love your videos man. Was wondering, did you go to any production school and if you did would you recommend any to learn my way around ableton and preferably specialising in bass music type stuff if possible
For that fluttering sub sound do u turn that into two tracks and separate the lows from the highs? Or do u keep them all in one sound like that
love the content. glad there arent so many "rights" good work man
That’s wild. How does adding a gang of EQ3s have that effect?
because eq3 sucks so bad it destroys the phase of anything that goes through it
@@BuntingMusic eq3 absolutely roasted
Protect this man.
I got ableton, serato dj and studios…this is the program I need lolol…any suggestions on equipment/ Instruments I should get? Got the keyboard and pioneer tables…
does serum have the same capabilities??? idk if its possible to freeze the flanger.....?
praying for a mickman or pheel video
next level shit as usual
would it be possible to make an Xtrullor/Au5 style phaser bass in vital?
moving combs/phasers/peaky filters and or messing with the spectral modes could probably get you close but the hyper clean quality of it is from additive synths eg razor harmor
otherwise a freq shifter could have a similar effect
update:try notch filters
@@BuntingMusic yay thanks
Squonks sound like squishy farts!
Cool
🔥🔥
Can you transfer these sounds from vital into FL studio?
Yummy mustache my dude 👍👍👍👍
Where can I get that disperser rack
u can make it by duplicating eq 3 a bunch or its in my free 10k sample pack

Should add timestamps!
