I had to one day. Everyone said it's just trash fish, well I was catching monsters so I kept a couple and tried..... absolutely not worth it. Mullet on the other hand...
Wondering which category snook would be. Keep up the dope vids and i dont know if im the only one, but i did enjoy the 3rd person view rig you did for a minute.
Man gotta say I'm loving this series more and more ....... ok I have one for ya if your willing to do it let's see how a black tip shark ranks between 24 and 36 inches
Hey Cooper, so good meet and talk with you at the end of the north Packery jetty. I wish I had given you my contact info so I could take you kayak fishing for red snapper down PINS. I have learned so much and so enjoyed your videos for a couple of years now. Your table of how fish taste has been fun. I agree with your S and A categories, but would flip kingfish and redfish. But hey, different people have different tastes. That is why they make many different wines, cheeses, etc. I personally like Spanish Mackerel but know people that don't. Hope you can catch some soon and add it to your chart, would love to know your opinion. Keep the great videos coming!
Hey man, I play here for the corpus christi tritons and I fish this inlet here. I'd like to shoot a fishing video with you one of these days if that's cool with you.
If you all get the Pompano running over there you have to add them to your taste test. They are really good and I bet they are in the A list for sure and maybe that S tier. And just for fun, throw some mullet on there to see how they are. I will gag while you do it, but it might be fun for us to watch. Some people love them. I am not one of those people. LOL! I still can't believe the trout is in the A tier and the red is in the C tier though. That might need another run. Reds are so much better than trout in my humble opinion...but I also have not had them without seasoning so maybe that's it. I am just not a trout fan. Love catching them...not so much eating them. I am a big fan of catch and release trout fishing. LOL!
Unless you’re running jig heads, usually you match the weight to the float, so it’s balanced in the water. Too little weight and the float won’t register the bite of the fish, too much weight and the float will sink. Hope that helps!
@ThresherFishing Not too often myself, alot of my coworkers fish there on the regular. They'll start in the river and work their way out. They say behind the power plant is great
Instead of frying in neutral oil, maybe try steaming in a wicker basket. (Because even “neutral” oil has its own flavor; taste a tablespoon worth of it.)
“BUT THRESHER HOW COULD YOU TRULY KNOW IF YOU DONT HAVE ALL THE FISH AT ONE TIME?!?” ALSO YOU ARE MISSING THE POMPANO. Add to the series. A tournament day for yourself to catch all those species and have a truly taste test!
Wanna get crazy? How about, stick with me here, how about mullet? I know, sounds nuts right? But I've seen Florida youtubers catch mullet by dragging treble hooks through schools, then cook the mullet, and even deep-fry the fish roe. I'd have to check on tpwd regs, but it'd definitely make for an interesting video!
@@ThresherFishing cool I bought a couple of the fierce 3 combos from Bass Pro Shop they're pretty nice I just scored me a 10 ft new Fierce 4 combo from Bass Pro Shop hopefully I'll get to go to the beach a couple times this summer I love your videos man I've been watching them for a few years now sometimes I get relief out of them and sometimes I'm missing out of all the fish Myrtle Beach South Carolina where I usually go one of these days on my trip down through the Panhandle I always wanted to go to Texas to fish well great videos talk to you later
Flounder:The TRUE Chicken of the sea🤠 I’ve honestly fried up some very fresh (less than an hour after caught)Flounder fillets and could have fooled anyone for tasting almost like chicken.
The hard thing about that for me is almost every croaker I catch in the area has a parasitic isopod in it's mouth. Has 0 effect on the meat just a little bit nasty in my brain haha.
Flounder use to be on every menu in Florida and then 1 day about 10 years ago overnight it disappeared and tilapia took its place.... Worst downgrade ever.
Its great to watch a youtuber that actually catches fish and doesnt just talk about catching and blames the winds and weather
Damn! Throwing TX shade at another UA-camr in corpus Beach? Bummer.
What kind of UA-cam does that

Glad to have a new video!
Best taste in music for all your videos!!
Toro y moi is the goat!🐐
I met you at the jets when i was 8 im 13 now but iv always watched your videos love the content
Small Black Drum and or Sheepshead are the cleanest and best tasting of all the inshore fish. But I love them all. Great video!
Hardhead unseasoned you never know 😂😂😂
This would definitely be a funny video
I had to one day. Everyone said it's just trash fish, well I was catching monsters so I kept a couple and tried..... absolutely not worth it.
Mullet on the other hand...
Also known as tourist trout.
Just checked your channel yesterday to see if you had any new content. Great video as always, Coop. Thanks
Love your shows keep them coming bro god bless
Wondering which category snook would be. Keep up the dope vids and i dont know if im the only one, but i did enjoy the 3rd person view rig you did for a minute.
Snook is better than any Red or Trout imo, so decadent 👍🏻
The texas snook slot size is pretty tight so that would be pretty tough!
Snook is possibly the best tasting fish. Don’t let Floridians find out tho!
Try pomp. Love the video. I wish I had time to fish the jetty.
Man gotta say I'm loving this series more and more ....... ok I have one for ya if your willing to do it let's see how a black tip shark ranks between 24 and 36 inches
Shark would be very interesting unseasoned, great idea.
I love living and fishing in Idaho, but I sure miss the taste of that Gulf flounder!
Love the videos! Just saw you running down Ocean. Do you offer guided fishing trips??
lol nice. Nah I don't have a captains license nor am I good enough at fishing to be a guide.
You never disappoint with your content Coop !
Really appreciate that brother

I see thresher new vids, I like new thresher vids.
Well thank you for the tip, didn’t know the CC eish e b’s had tackle!
Yeah they need better jigheads though lol
the one he was at in flour bluff puts wally world to shame
Good stuff Coop!
Thanks man
Yummy! I love both of those fish! Man the gulf has some of the best fish!!
Another great video from Coop
Yessir thanks
Man always enjoy a good video from coop!! #thresherfishing
Nice flatty patties! Great video.
lol thanks
Hard to beat a flounder! Fun to catch also in NC.
Love hitting up that HEB before going into the island. Awesome video!!

Awesome keep it up!
Toss a croaker into the mix. I love them.
Love your videos
Thanks bro
Good morning Sir
Is it necessary to use a complete shrimp ? Cannot cut it into 3 pieces ?
Love watching ur videos from qatar 🇶🇦.
Sometimes they are very picky and only want live shrimp but other times they will eat dead shrimp.
Quick weird question, you think sheepshead is good shark bait?
Try the hardhead but you should make more series like fish fried or blackened. Catch them all again 😉
I would love to see you throw some artificial there and compare the live and articficial at that spot.
I have a Chiquita in North Padre, if you ever want to come and take it out, lmk!
Why not try piggy perch? Little dock runner with a float, plus you get to catch bait too while youre at it 😁
Gotta go out on a limb here and say you gotta try a gafftop. Never had it, but seems everyone swears they are pretty damn good.
If you ever run into a gafftop while surf fishing, I'd like to see where you rank them.
love the new vid dawg
Thank you man!

What kind of stopper do you use above the float? And how high? Thabks great video
Hello Sir, the weight of the float is the same as the olive lead?
Unless you’re running jig heads, usually you match the weight to the float, so it’s balanced in the water. Too little weight and the float won’t register the bite of the fish, too much weight and the float will sink. Hope that helps!
🙋♂️👍👍
Gaftop is a very underated fish in my opinion.
Been waiting on this one for a while. Is this the pinnacle?
Well S tier at least.
There's plenty of marshland in nueces bay. The flounder can get real hot and it's a good place for gigging too
Do you fish over there quite a bit? I have only fish Nueces bay a handful of times.
@ThresherFishing Not too often myself, alot of my coworkers fish there on the regular. They'll start in the river and work their way out. They say behind the power plant is great
Try Ladyfish! It will probably be bad but who knows, maybe it’s a sleeper S tier fish!
Great video
Pompano!! I know it's late in the season for them but I had flounder and pompano at the same time and the pompano was way better
Yeah I gotta do pomps!
Oh bet
Black drum!
What drone do you use???
Hard head or mullet? Or both
Do black drum next 👍🏽
Happy days
Can you drop a playlist with all the songs you use for your intros and throughout your videos?? Por favor
This one was "the difference" by Flume
Gotta rank the hard heads
Make that your theme song!
Instead of frying in neutral oil, maybe try steaming in a wicker basket. (Because even “neutral” oil has its own flavor; taste a tablespoon worth of it.)
Flounder win hands down
How many miles on the f150 now?
Over 200k lol...
Blackened flounder is the absolute best
You'll have to make a new tier for pompano my guy
“BUT THRESHER HOW COULD YOU TRULY KNOW IF YOU DONT HAVE ALL THE FISH AT ONE TIME?!?” ALSO YOU ARE MISSING THE POMPANO. Add to the series. A tournament day for yourself to catch all those species and have a truly taste test!
Do Whiting or Sand Trout

That's during the mullet run
Black drum is by far the best tasting.
Try salt water catfish.
Blue runner
Mahi-Mahi 🐬
Okay but I need to know what song that is at :52
Flume feat. Toro y Moi - The Difference
next do stingray or blacktip
You should try eating a hardy boy because their the easiest fish to catch
Try pompano that is a good tasting fish
Coooooooop how's it going homie
What up bro!
gaffer, pompano, spanish, black drum
Where does sand trout measure?
Have not done unseasoned sand trout yet!
Catch some pompano and a small shark if you properly clean the shark it's just as good, grill addition .
Flounder 🐈
RIP
Sand trout!
The question is: how do you even target sand trout? I only ever catch them accidentally haha.
@@ThresherFishingjust try to catch specklers. You may end up with about 20 sand trout in Galveston
Try snook!
Gaftop

Is that the new Penn Fierce 3 or 4 real you're using

*cries in NC flounder regulations*
Dang they are illegal to keep any in NC right now?
@@ThresherFishing Our season to keep flounder is 2 weeks a year in September.
You might have a career in parkour.
First!
Where are you from?? 🤔🤔🤔
Gafftop lots of anglers shy away from them
I do want to try some unseasoned gafftop lol
Gafftop with some lemon pepper and trout with lemon pepper, real hard to tell a difference. Unseasoned would be interesting
Shark or Alligator Gar next ????
POMPANO!!!!
hey thresher, lets make a collab video
Flounder:The TRUE Chicken of the sea🤠 I’ve honestly fried up some very fresh (less than an hour after caught)Flounder fillets and could have fooled anyone for tasting almost like chicken.
Black drum on the rocks is obviously the best. Only haters will comment and dislike my comment
You need to try, CROAKER!! If you haven’t already. Not whiting, but CROAKER. Asians love some CROAKER!!!
The hard thing about that for me is almost every croaker I catch in the area has a parasitic isopod in it's mouth. Has 0 effect on the meat just a little bit nasty in my brain haha.
Have you intentionally left black drum off? You've surely caught one since you started this taste test haven't you?
Nah I just have not got around to it yet. I actually don't target slot drum too often either.
Good tasting pair of guys huh? LOL

TNX 4 VID LOL
