Alert just read this on ranger6g tonight a guy that owns a Ranger Raptor thought that his RR had the cam phasers issue, prominent loud rattle noise for a few seconds after cold start up. So, he takes his truck to the Ford dealership and leaves it there overnight. The next morning the dealership does a cold start up on the truck then they do diagnostic test, next they tell the owner of the RR that it is not a cam phasers issue but (turbo waste gates) noise and that, that is perfectly normal and that there is absolutely nothing wrong with his truck. Next, they tell him that many dealerships diagnose it wrong because the cam phasers issue and the turbo waste gates noise sound kind of similar. Then they tell him that their dealership hasn't seen a 3.0 liter ecoboost with cam phasers issue in many years and that, that is a thing in the past, let alone on a 2024 3.0 liter ecoboost. Also, on ranger6g the same thread a guy who had suspected that his RR had the cam phasers issue took his truck to the Ford dealership and they replaced his motor with a new one. Then after he gets his truck back from the dealership the next day his truck is making the same noise with a brand-new motor. WOW maybe everyone has been getting this wrong and it is actually just (turbo waste gates noise) that is perfectly normal and there is absolutely nothing wrong with the trucks, I guess only time will tell.
Wow, thanks so much for the update. I don’t read as much on the ranger6g site as I should so I really appreciate it. I haven’t noticed anything getting worse on my truck so I haven’t done anything about it yet. It sounded like lifter ticking to me but I haven’t done anything never even heard of a ticking noise coming from the waste gate/recirc valve. I’ll have to pay closer attention next cold start! Here’s to hoping this is not as big of an issue as we think!
My RR is 5 months old now no strange noise or ticking sound at cold start up or at least not yet🤞. It is interesting that the guy on ranger6g who said that his Ford dealership told him that their dealership hasn't seen any 3.0-liter ecoboosts with the cam phasers issue in years and that it is a thing of the past. Either they know what they are talking about, or they are just trying to pull the wool over the costumer's eyes. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if more info is revealed by Ford possibly in 2025. I know one guy on ranger6g said he suspected that his RR might have the cam phasers issue, and the Ford dealership told him that he was correct, but he is apprehensive about them ripping his motor apart or replacing it with a new motor because Ford hasn't updated the parts to permanently correct the issue/problem. So, he said his dilemma is let the dealership do the work on his RR, or don't let them touch the truck until it gets really bad or complete failure, but if he decides to do that later the dealership might say we told you to fix it early on, but you said no now more damage has been done so now we are voiding your warranty claim. Personally, myself if my RR starts making a weird ticking noise at cold start up for several seconds then the noise goes away, I'm not going to worry about it and I'm not taking it into the dealership. I don't want to be in the same catch22 situation as the guy I just mentioned. I will stay away from the Ford dealership and run the truck until it gets ugly and extremely bad or complete failure. Then I will play dumb with the dealership (I have bad hearing and always have the music turned up real loud when driving) I never knew that something was wrong with the truck.😊
Thanks. Reminded me to check mine. Had about 5k on mine and about 2x as much but had the more traditional brown forbidden chocolate milk look to it. Have to set up some reminders to check way more often now that it’s dropping to freezing temps up here.
Yeah, I was happy to see that mine was just full of normal looking oil but this was after it had been sitting for several hours, not sure what it would look like immediately after a drive
@@flaberdoopin Just a heads up, filter on crankcase breather will eventually build up oil and the catch can will not have as much oil accumulated. Anyways that's what I noticed on my Coyote. If you have the Ford Performance Tune already, I suggest having both. I'm doing all my due diligence on this 3.0 ecoboost. It's impressive for sure 👍. Can't wait to go buy one.
I know you liked the Raptor - is it still showing good quality? Any quality things pop up? Thanks in advance for an update. Also, are you running premium fuel?
The only issue I consistently have with my truck is the freaking sync 4 system not pairing audio and requiring me to disconnect and reconnect to make it work but from what I have heard that is not specific to the ranger or even fords. I have had no other issues with this truck, it is really doing well for me and my family and I use it a lot for everything I can think of!
They are capable of being wired up to the turn signals and the outer ring will flash along with the blinkers but I didn’t wire them up that way yet. I may in the future though just to play with it
Oh, I missed your question and I thought you were talking about the ditch lights. I am pretty sure the turning indicators on the mirrors are in sync with the front and back turn signals
@@flaberdoopin Yeah thought so - wast just chatting with a dude on Ranger6G and thought possibly that the US market wasn't using these lights as turn signals... but they do.. Thanks for responding!
Bought directly from UPR at the link in the description and install is extremely easy. I posted a video on install about a month or two ago…. ua-cam.com/video/JWGLeQnub78/v-deo.htmlsi=bH4ae-NMVaoKtSJ-
The doors are EXTREMELY easy to do, just a bit of time required. The headliner is another story, I wish I had waited on that until I bought a roof rack so I would only have to drop the liner once. They both made a huge difference in sound in the interior of the truck though. One of these days I am going to tackle the floor. Overall it is a great upgrade in my opinion
Thank you for the update!
You bet!
Good video, as always! Love your content!

I would suggest a Good Crankcase Breather. To also relieve Crankcase pressure.
I’ll look into that

Greta video and a random question: Do the amber turn signal lights on the side mirrors turn on when you signal?
They are capable of being wired up to the turn signals and the outer ring will flash along with the blinkers but I didn’t wire them up that way yet. I may in the future though just to play with it
@ so as stock the lights don’t do anything from factory ?

Where did you buy the Oil Catch Can? How did you install the Oil Catch Can?

How is the sound deadening working for you? Trying to decide if disassembling the interior is worth it 😂

I'll echo a previous comment, where did you get it from?
