I like how you done the ends of the battery rack w/ the angle iron. I just left mine under the sides. I built my Monte’s rack in 3 pieces so I could do most the welding out of the trunk. But with 10 across the back you don’t have much of a choice but build in place. Looks great! Keep it up and keep posting. Also great point to step back when you start to hit a wall. Gives you a chance to think about how to get over the wall without rushing it.
Lowriding AZ Thanks bro, I would preferred to weld everything outside the trunk, just couldn’t. My buddy Cheech taught me how to do the ends like that back in the late 90s, done them ever since 👍 I’ve noticed every time I walk away from a bad day I always come back with a better idea, never fails! Just got to take a break sometimes 👍🔥✅
I stumbled upon this car on another channel. I’ve been binge watching the videos and I must say this is a very nice build. You are very talented and leave out no details, keep up the good work!!!
BRO THIS IS BADASS..LOOKING GOOD ..I REALLY LIKE HOW YOU EXPLAIN EVERYTHING..WHAT WELDER AND SPOOL OF WIRE SPECS ARE YOU USING .what settings on welder ..any and all information is really helpful
Thank you! I use a HOBART handler 125 mig welder c25 gas, .30 solid steel wire, all welders have different readings, mine has simple numbers, only had 4 speed settings I use 3 Heat in mine only shows 10-100 I sure it on 50/55 on racks Hope that helps 👍
I'm very curious to why you decided to run 10 batteries across the rear rather than having the batteries on each side like most installs?..... is there a specific reason? Like for safety/fires or better for 3wheeling?... very interesting. I'm building my first 64impala lowrider so I'm just looking for knowledge.
It was just personal preference, this was just the look I was going for, I like the weight in the back for hopping, It 3 wheels easy. I also like 4 batteries on each side and a nice setup in the middle on a pedestal. I may even change it down the line. Having 4 batteries on each side with a 1/4” steel rack will make it 3 wheel much easier then 10 across the back.
@@RedRocket64 aaihhhh indeed, I see. Thank you for yr reply. I've been following your build since 2019. I'm currently in South Korea. My 64 is back in South Dakota with my mentor. He's restoring and building the 64 while I'm gone. And I send him your videos so he can have a better understanding of what to do. So I thank you & lone star very very very much. OneLove brotha.
Bad ass as usual bro Hey where did you get that black plastic piece that blocks the gap between the body and the bumper?and what's it called I cant find it lol Also are you gona seal up where that square tub comes into the trunk?
Stephen Dudla it’s a rear bumper to body seal, made by soft seal, came original on all 64s but most took the off because it would trap moisture. Search this item number on eBay 261810409601 It will pop right up 👍 I didn’t think about sealing/covering the uprights on the frame, I just might, thanks 🙏

Great video like always bro
Thank you 🙏
Brotha I have been following this build. Crazyyyyyy clean work bro. Where are you out of ?
Qam Gad Thank you brother 🙏 Houston area
Red rocket how do you make a 12 battery rack and a 3 pump setup for 63 impala this is my first lowrider since 94 but I'm doing this by myself
There are so many options, just comes down to personal preference and what you want the car to do.
I'm a beginner at welding can you use a mig welder to do panels and frame work like for your battery rack
What's the measurements for the risers that where already sticking up in the trunk welded to the frame?
Bad ass as usual bro
