Wow. You have an A-spec, which is the JDM equivalent of my USDM LS.
You also have the floral carpets, which I believe were a more expensive option.
The red button is the Shift Lock Override button, just like in your LS. When you press and hold it, you should be able to move the shifter freely without the key. Particularly useful for rolling the car or towing.
Really cool car but not sure what this has over the LS400 that you'd want to part with that and use the celsior instead? Although, I guess if you're switch up the steering wheel sticks, replace the gauge capacitors, and change out/adjust the FM radio, it would be good enough to replace the us version. That and removing the governor on the cruise control.
Replacing the dash with an ls400 equivalent would be really useful but that also means taking stock parts off a (classic) stock car, which isn't preferable
Nice car! :) I have a 94 LS400 right-hand drive. + 1991 Toyota Soarer JDM (+ many others). Fun with right-hand controlled versions, but sometimes you forget, and use window washers instead of flashlights .... 😎

Seems like a great score...I like the idea of this car as I love LS400s, but it's a more unique and interesting because of the JDM angle.

Hah, I doubt he would be interested in a base model Celsior, since he did a well-optioned LS400 of the same era a while back. I'll have something for him to review someday...

The red button on the gear shifter allows u to select gears when the car is off. For example you can put it into neutral if the car us off if the battery dies for example
