Quran - Discussed in English - Verses

Hello World, السلام عليكم
This is another episode of my friend and I listening to the Quran read in Arabic, but discussing it in English. We cover the verses from 5:51 to 5:81.
Summary of these verses:
The verses start by talking about muslims who betray their people and ally with christians and jews out of fear. God states that those who ally themselves with Allah instead are the winners. The Muslims are warned of allying with people who mock their faith. Muslims then question the other people of the book on why they resent them, while the Muslims are the ones who believe in what was brought to the Jews and Christians before the Muslims. Then, the verses show that many people of the book commit sins and transgression. While if they were to believe in what God has revealed to them and repented, God would bless them, forgive them and enter them into paradise. The verses then talk about how the children of Israel did not follow their covenant, were disobedient and transgressors. It is then stated that Jesus was a prophet of God and called people to worship the one true God and that it is a great sin to say that Jesus is God or that God is a trinity.
We see for the second time a verse that says that believers, Jews, Sabians, Christians, who believe in God and the last day and do good, have nothing to fear nor to be sad about.

I thought you were going to refer to verified islamic scholar’s interpretation for each verse. It would be much clearer for viewers

That indeed is a way of trying to learn the Quran but it is not the goal of this series.
In this series we are merely reading through the entire Quran, taking each verse and trying to see what we understand from it. Safa also looks at tafasir so that we get more of a scholars perspective.
But the point here is to make it easy for people to get acquainted with the texts as we are. We'd like people to join us along the ride and ask questions or post comments.
We've found many that enjoy this way of learning, so I think it works somewhat.

u can add english tafsir to it when things sometimes need context. that will make it easy for listeners as well.thanku

We tried that in the following episode. It takes too long during the session. Our normal method is for Safa to review the tafasir before we start reading. That works well.
