  • Carmen is a character created by the pen of Prósper Mérimée in 1845. Maestro Robert Hill created this pas de deux in 2005 for Ballet de Monterrey, inspired by Bizet's opera, using musical arrangements of the same work.
Ballet de Monterrey, a Mexican Classical and Contemporary Dance Company with its own identity in the creation of new proposals, has stood out internationally for its Latin American identity, technique and versatility. With this vibrant and energetic personality, Ballet de Monterrey is today an ambassador of Mexican dance throughout the world.
