@@josephhurst6032 that honestly could be true. I think they really just didn't really vibe with Brodie as much as they thought they did. But good good is dope and going strong so good for them
This is what golf needs. This just doesn't happen when it comes to Pete Finch or Rick Shiels. More cowbell Don't worry bro, come to Thailand we will be BroTwo
i feel like stephen did all he could but then he knew he couldn’t do it logistically with just him and brodie i think stephen deserves credit for sticking with brofive as long as he could
Was just about to comment this same thing. Cudos to Brodie for being so supportive of Stephen and realizing that Brofive was all he had and even offering him a place to stay so they could figure it out. Huge respect to Brodie for that as well as Stephen for sticking with it as long as possible.
He still ghosted Brodie though. Didn't leave like a man by calling Brodie and saying he was going to go with GM. Just left with his tail between his legs.
yah man i didnt know he came up with WORDS and put them together and made money from it...they are all children. just get a job n get guud. I trademark that! PAY ME!
Ok everyone I'm calling it a night. Just thinking about how embarrassing this is, but it is what it is. Hopefully I can look back and laugh it off. Thanks for keeping the comments respectful. Have a good one.
This is going to take a while to type but here we go. Hopefully everything you said was how it is. I respect how honest you were in this video(Again hopefully that is true). You didn't have to make this video but you did. I was one of the big influences in the last BroFive video with my comment getting 400+ likes and my follow up comment to yours mirroring yours in likes. It seems like it really did come down to the money and the fact that GM_Golf was really doing well. I hate that the parents got involved but after thinking about it for a bit, it makes sense. The signs were there but sucks that this amazing thing got ruined potentially because Garrett's parents wanted what they thought was best for him(Can't deny that) and maybe it was but there is no denying what BroFive could have become is something worth giving it your all for at least six months. Averaging 200k viewers in your first month is pretty darn good especially for a golf orientated channel. What you have said regarding being fully committed to BroFive seems to add up. I think you saw what a lot of the viewers saw which was a great opportunity for something awesome and so did Stephen. A lot of the issues you explained are there because they are so young and their channels have really blown up so fast. They see great opportunities with brand deals and a chance to make some good cash so they want to take them. As someone who is in their age range, I would probably be that way to if I went from 10k viewers to 200k viewers in like 3 months. The other part about them not been prepared and ready for the Norman shoot or other takes is also a trait that makes sense. They just want to film and like to figure it out on the spot. It's tough to go from a laid back approach to a professional manner that fast. It takes time to adjust and that is defiantly something Garrett and Matt struggled with. Stephen understood this because BroFive was all he had. Garrett was still making bank and Matt's channel was starting to click. It really sucks to hear how this all went down because it seems like you really wanted to make it work and Garrett was hesitant/parents were hesitant to let him give up his channel/merch money. I really don't think there was much that you could have done differently as even though I really enjoy watching G/M they always seemed more focused on doing their thing then BroFive and at the end of the day, you can't really fault them for doing that. You can fault them though for not holding up their word and not being all in. 100% missed some points but I think I got the jist there. It may have been for the best that the split happened sooner rather then later. Going to be interesting to see if/when they respond and what is said. Love both channels and have followed GM before he blew up so hopefully this doesn't get ugly. Appreciate the time you put into letting everyone know how it went down.
BroFive Brodie you are class act, major respect for the way you have handled things, keep your head up! Sucks the way Garrett handled things, but it will blow over!
BroFive Thanks for giving us an explanation Brodie, and sorry it all went down the way that it did. But I will continue to subscribe to and watch both channels. It’s behind you now so just keep doing what you do man!
Brodie from all of us who watch this video, thank you for the explanation. It is a truly precarious situation. But again we appreciate the explanation and, unless we hear another side, we can accept this as closure. We all wish it only lasted longer. Keep grinding Brodie.
Brodie you shouldn’t feel embarrassed. You did everything you could for the channel and they didn’t hold up there end of things. Can’t believe they just stopped talking to you. I definitely understand why you wouldn’t want to do videos with them anymore. What was the age difference between y’all? Just curious.
2x speed is a beautiful thing... here’s the synopsis of the entire video for everyone: Basically Garret and Matt started to plug their channels and merch, etc. on bro5 videos and stopped plugging bro5 into their own channels and videos. Brodie didn’t have much of a connection with Steven for a while until brand deals came in and more videos were posted. They started talking and Bro5 is Stevens only source of revenue and he needs everyone to be all in on it to support himself (we know he worked other jobs because he can’t fully support himself otherwise). Brodie made a great connection with Bro5 and Dude perfect: “Dude perfect focuses all of their efforts towards Dude Perfect and nothing else, there are no individual channels for each person” With other channels to tend to such as GM golf and Matt’s channel blowing up, it’s difficult to manage and fully devote themselves to bro5 when they have other audiences to tend to. It’s just not going to work, especially when Steven only has bro5 and everyone else has other channels. (Keep in mind, Brodie didn’t really post any videos on either of his main channels during Bro5 because he was devoting his time to Bro5). Garrett and Matt started to realize and said they would turn it around. Brodie had a phone call with everyone that night and it got really weird, garret apparently went back on what he said about it or “did a 180” after Brodie got back from traveling that night. This was all happening while Bro5 videos were being posted and no one knew this was going on aside from them. Agency always takes 10% from deals and videos etc. etc. Brodie and all of them were having a talk and he said that “everyone is replaceable which should be motivation to keep pushing bro5” this was taken the wrong way by Matt and Garrett I believe, or just Matt or just Garrett I’m not sure. Steven was in an awkward situation between all of this, he was trying to make it work with Brodie and everyone but it was difficult, it was especially weird since he is best friends with Garrett. Steven and Brodie realized and agreed that Garrett and Matt were out of bro5 since they obviously weren’t as dedicated to the channel. Garret didn’t respond to this very well, or at all, but Matt agreed that he would drop it and focus on his own channel because he knew he couldn’t dedicate himself to Bro5. Brodie was trying to talk to Steven to keep Bro5 alive, but Steven decided to make his own UA-cam channel and he started to fade away from the Bro5 idea most likely because he didn’t have his best friends with him anymore. This is when Brodie knew Bro5 ended. Then GM golf got back together and they both went back to their own cliques, Garrett Matt and Steven became close again and kept making videos together. Brodie was left in the dust, he tried everything to keep bro5 together but he was really the only one, along with Steven, that was fully dedicated and pushing it. Brodie has been in a difficult situation this past month and we should all support him, along with all other channels, it’s best that everyone focuses on their own individual channels. Brodie we’re all here to support you, take it easy for a bit and can’t wait to see your new content!! Edit: When Brodie said everyone here is replaceable he didn’t mean he wanted to replace anyone in bro5, he was trying to emphasize the fact that they all need to dedicate themselves to the channel because they weren’t pushing for the Bro5 channel anymore and were using it for personal gain
Bennett Absolutely not!! Things were very off before they had that conversation and Bro5 was practically over at that point, he obviously could’ve used a better analogy or emphasized the fact that Stephen needs the channel more than them etc., but it was beyond saving at that point in time Edit: I like Micah, I have been subscribed the GM’s channel since before Micah initially left, he’s a cool and calming guy, you’ll come around. (Also a great golfer)
I can see how saying that messed everything up, especially since Brodie was the odd one out because the other three were good friends before the channel. Ok if someone said that to me I’d be thinking, ok when’s he gonna just bounce me out and get someone else, even if Brodie doesn’t seem like someone to do that.
@@seanchasteen6226 good good led me to this cause I have watched all their stuff lol. I also follow each of them personally. But brofive vids are fun, more silly challenges to find easier as less content
If you don’t want to watch the whole thing: Basically Garret and Matt weren’t doing their share in BroFive and were trying to grow their own brands rather than the group’s brand. Steven and Brody were trying to sway them to put everything into BroFive and make their personal channels a second priority that would focus strictly on their personal life. This eventually led to Garret and Matt leaving the group. Brody offered for Steven to continue BroFive and find 2 people to replace Garret and Matt but Steven decided to stay with Garret; who he’s been best friends with for a long time. Now Steven, Garret and Matt are filming on the gm_golf channel and our man Brody is hung out to dry.
I honestly think Brodie knew how big it could get, that’s why he was going to put all of his channels on hold to push the content. I don’t think Garrett and Matt realizes what it could be
The fact that you landed Matt Wolff for a channel that hadn’t even started yet over your own that has featured pro golfers shows an unbelievable amount of dedication to bro five.
What i'm taking from this is Brodie is a lot more mature and business savy tbh. Everything he said made sense from a fair business model and when everyone is not on board it's just not going to work..it's unfortunate Garrett and Matt weren't fully on board because Brofive had great potential to far surpass their individual channels ( which i think is what Garret and Matt were afraid to risk neglecting in order to put time into Brofive ) Oh well thanks for explaining Brodie, and goodluck to you all.
I honestly dont blame Stephen. He's been friends with them forever so he feels the need to stay loyal to them. Matt and Garrett are not at all who i thought they were.
Brodie, I respect you for making this video even if you didn’t want to initially. It’s hard making a video like this without assigning blame. It’s a shame it ended like this. Hopefully the four of you will be friends again and you’ll have learned from this. Having multiple established channels join to create an additional one is difficult especially with money distribution and time commitments. We’re all rooting for the four of you individually.
I'd like to feel for him, but then he clearly took the easy way out and just ghosted. Matt is the only one who got the tiniest bit of respect as he atleast told Brodie what was what and didn't waste Brodies time costing him money
No no no... Snitches, ghosts, thieves, backstabbers. All the same (if you have a shred of self respect). Not to mention how dumb it was to leave a chance to Collab with a HUGELY successful UA-camr. They're just kids who's brains haven't finished developing yet. Still, Sad and shameful
@@intothepark wow, such a horrible opportunity those guys missed not collab’img with a generational talent like Brodie. Ohhh that’s right, good good has 200k+ subscribers, gm golf 400k subs, and all the guys have their own channels with 100k subs each. Yeah….those really missed a big opportunity there. When was the last golf vid Brodie put out? I can’t wait to watch him scream like a caveman on the golf course then watch his beginner gf hack it up out there. Such entertainment.
Weirdly enough. Now Garret, Matt and Stephen are killing it. And the good good channel is going great. Yet Brodie isn’t really pulling in the views and hasn’t posted on his golf channel in a year 🤷🏼♂️
Well Brodie, we've talked before in the comments but I have to have to say I have so much more respect for you now. Like every situation they are going to have their side of the story but I respect you taking this time to go through the whole situation. I'll be sticking with you and cant wait for those cabot vlogs!
Trey Walter unfortunately that’s what UA-cam ppl do they have on camera personalities but it’s really just like any other business they try to make it as big and as profitable as possible.
you can't make a living on youtube if you don't take it seriously. even the most "fun" channels have managers, editors, social media marketing companies, etc. you gotta realize these guys do this for a living-not just for pocket change.
So... basically Brodie tried to make an awesome growth opportunity for the three of them and they chose money on the first step of the ladder. Garret even brought his parents to the business to further mess things up. Seems to me that is just a case of difference in maturity and its pretty clear whose the adult on the whole story.
Don't agree with it, but he's a kid. Obviously not going to school with no knowledge of the real world. still shouldn't have brought his parents in. But money makes the world go round in his eyes. He'll realize he messed up
People always get distracted by the low hanging fruit. One thing garret and others didn't think about is possibly how big of a hit their channel would take if this stuff would come out. Kind of an unknowing cutting off their nose to spite their face
Yeah same here dude I'm glad Brodie posted this. I had kinda jumped to conclusions that maybe it was Brodie's fault for the breakup since hes kinda the odd man out in the group and also biggest channel. I wonder if we'll get a "response video" from Garrett and/or Matt to hear their side.
Y’all need to remember that this is just Brodie’s side of the story... not saying he’s 100% wrong or fabricating/exaggerating anything... just need to have both sides of the story before you start assuming things about the group and each individual🤷♂️
Brodie, being from KC and at first siding with GM, I really have gained respect for how you treated the situation and how professional you are about it. Keep up the grind 👍
There was literally nothing to sacrifice for Brodie, there was zero risk involved for him. If it doesn't work out all Brodie does is go back to his 2mil subscriber channel and still live a comfortable life, no harm, no foul.
Alex Gandy Alex Gandy they as in Garrett maybe. Mind you he was not getting that until he did a collab with Brodie. Where are you getting that he kicked out Zac Radford ? I don’t remember ever hearing how Zac was ever apart of it.
esard2011 nothing to sacrifice ? Haha every week he doesn’t post on his main channel is lost revenue. Not to mention people don’t like to stick around for dead channels that don’t post
Sub-Par Golf you’re really ignorant. When you stop making videos on high sub channels you’re not getting a return on your time investment not to mention risk of subscribers leaving
I don't even know who this Micah guy is. Garrett (and his family) second-guessing whether he wanted to try to be another Dude Perfect working "in partnership" with someone 10 years older for the next 4-5 years of his life was almost certainly the reason.
Brodie, my dude.... You don't owe anyone an explanation. I was looking forward to another Urban Disc Golf video, but I'm honestly not surprised. Hope you learned a valuable lesson. Best of luck to you all!
Way to handle this professionally Brodie. I can’t imagine what it’s like but you went about this in the best way you can. Best of luck to everyone. Love you all
Didn't Garret explain that Micah "moved back" recently to do videos with GMGolf that he was originally apart of? I think honestly Micah was the game changer for Garret. Can't blame him for that either. That's his OG vision. As for Matt... Kinda sketch. Dude lives with Garrett and pulled that kind of stuff? Bro.... I now understand why Zac Radford steered clear of this high school drama.
Was wondering when the 20 year olds parents were going to get involved 🤦🏻♂️ can’t happen in business. Seems like Brodie was handling this like a true business and the others were treating it like a hobby
UPDATE W/Jport He (Brodie) handled both the situation & the business like a pro, and truly earned a TON of my respect! (Not that he didn’t already have it 🙃.)
Dropping in after ANOTHER GG member (Grant) just left. Wondering how long it will be before people start realizing that Garrett might just actually be the issue.
Well I mean all of Dude Perfect are friends and they are kind of taking over the internet. Also, you can look at Mr. Beast and see the same thing. It just wasn't meant to be.
I feel like Garrett was to scared to confront Brody for all of the flaws, so he asked his parents to do the dirty work for him. So sad that this happened to Brody.
BenB for real. I was here for gm, thought Brodie was a pretty fake dude tbh. This video clears things up and you can tell it’s Brodie’s side of things but still at least 65% is factual.
Couldn’t agree more. I’ve been siding with Garret and Matt this whole time because I thought Brodie just didn’t work with the group. Hearing all of these things about Garret though just really made me lose my respect for him and skyrocketed my respect for Brodie.
@@connordelk4658 I think garret is too shy to speak his mind to Brodie and once he and Matt went home to vent to his parents they decided to get involved. I also think since they are younger than him they felt intimidated when really he was trying to be a leader.
Super disappointed this channel fell through i loved the energy everybody brought and just watching people who are not only good at golf but having a blast hopefully see you on the GM golf or see gar and the boys on your channel again
Sadly I don’t think that will be possible. But I’m sure Brodie’s energy and spark will live on through his other content, as will GM golf’s in their content. This kind of bond being torn apart isn’t something that time fixes... it was great while it lasted
The thing is if they’re passion isn’t with a group like this, then it’s better off they stick to their channels. Like they had speculation that Matt wants to eventually become a mainstream actor, so stuff like that would not mesh well with a UA-cam group. And if Garrett prefers being his own content creator, so be it. Maybe it’s for the better
Honestly, I was really just starting to find brofive. I've known of brodie for a while because of dude perfect but didn't know this existed. Just recently started getting pushed in my feed.
Me: how is this 78 minutes?! Also me: Is there a part two to this video? Loved you since your Ultimate days and my respect has only grown. I'd leave my two cents but it seems like everything's been said. Keep killing it!
When parents get involved and feelings hurt from the saying “everyone can be replaced, even me”.... sounds like people have some growing to do. Proud of you Brodie I’ve followed you for a long time and will continue to. Looking forward to seeing more golf from you. Much much love brother! If you’re ever in Houston come play a round and see if I can break 90!!!! Haha
yep i guess that Garrett is a hard Business man. I mean that completly without any positive or negative mention. He wants to grow and make Money. And it seems that He dont want to have other Input from the others. I am glad micah and grant continue and with taylormade now I am Happy to see where this all goes
Mikah only came back to GM golf bc he seen the success of the channel! The long nights of editing for Garrett and grinding to grow this channel after he left and just came back like nothing is wrong!
Brofive is a high-five, but another term for it. Brofive is more of high-five with closer 'friends'. Which, in turn, makes this whole 'drama' more sad. Garrett ---and Matt--- (and probably Micah) backed out of their commitment like selfish jerks...and handled it VERY poorly.
I feel like with how crazy of a situation this has been for both parties, you both have handled the fallout professionally and I admire you for doing so. It can be so tempting to fire off quick remarks and reactions so well done for keeping it classy, it will benefit all of your channels in the future for handling it.
Sounds like you had a legit business plan to set up the best Golf channel on UA-cam and these kids couldnt get a grasp on reality and got scared of how driven you are.
Now look at you. Wrong as ever. Matt, Stephen, Garret, Colin, and Micah all have their own channel and Good Good is exploding. All in just a year. Being selfish did Garret good. He didn’t want to ride the coat tails of someone else and wanted to make a name for himself and he’s doing a hell of a job of it.
Also Brodie has really high expectations for Garrett and Matt's social media Management. Brodie has been doing this for years, Garrett has been doing this for like a year. Brodie came at them for not posting on Facebook 3 times a day....after it not happening for a month. Sounds like Brodie didn't fully communicate what he expected or what the advantage of that was from a social media stand point. I agree with Brodie that those thing SHOULD happen to push their BroFive brand, but Garrett/Steven/Matt don't have the years of experience, and may not have been fully aware of what they were committing to.
Brodie, Thank you for clarifying everything and giving us as fans closure. I’m sorry things didn’t work out. Loved the content. With that being said, your channel kicks major a**. Keep doing your thing. I’ll be a loyal subscriber and keep watching. #TeamDarkhorse
Dang, this makes me so sad. I appreciate your authenticity in all of this Brodie, I'm sure there are some varying perspectives on how things went down, but I got such a transparent and humble vibe from you in this video. No cuts, and a willingness to admit where you went wrong, which I really respect. The only side note I would give is the level of detail you have regarding text messages and phone calls might have been a bit too much information. Oh well, it's done now. I also am trying to be an entrepreneur in a creative field, and I have already had unfortunate dumpster fires like this one. For me, these were caused by one or both parties not fully understanding what exactly they wanted from the partnership, and what they would have to sacrifice to make the partnership work. It sounds like that might have been part of what happened here, and it's such a bummer. I loved watching BroFive videos, and weirdly enough I honestly felt like I got to know the people in the videos I watched, so hearing that this group of fun-loving, friendly people broke ties in this fashion really breaks my heart. All that being said, thank you for the effort you guys put in. I enjoyed the heck out of the BroFive and GM+Brodie collabs, and I hope that this relationship is somehow repaired at some point from a personal level. If that doesn't happen, I suppose that's just life.
Watched through the whole thing just now! appreciate your transparency and efforts to keep that discussion as unbiased as possible. I’m sure there will be parts where they have different stories/points of view (which by the way would be interesting to hear) but nevertheless I feel like it would be hard for them disagree with you on the generalizations because I feel like I can trust that you told your own truths. Once again, appreciate your openness and I hope the best for both your channels as well as GM Golf Ps. I hope poor Stephen isn’t getting taken advantage and lied to by them. It seems like he went back to them because they were his friends and that’s what he knows, but is going to forego everything that went wrong and them turning their backs on him.
Garrett and matt agreed to help Stephen set up his own youtube channel long before brodie was on the scene. Which Stephen apparently wasn't sure about creating a channel. I watched it all aswell and a lot of assumptions were made during that video, and a lot big details were shut down immediately as not important. Fair play to brodie for doing the video, I can imagine it wasn't nice, however I'm not very confident it's as transparent as you think. One other thing that got me was he said once brofive had more followers than your own personal channel, the individual would stop using the personal channel. That doesn't quite work, brodie obviously has loads more followers as he's been going longer, but that also means he's potentially still going to use his channel when the others have given theirs up, because brofive will have more followers than gm and m.e.3 alot quicker than it will overtake brodies amount of followers. Doesn't sound fair to me
Nathan Roberts He put his channels on the back burner unlike GM. This is pretty obvious as he barely uploaded while GM uploaded vids with no reference to brofive. Tbh his points are pretty cut and dry. Edit: This is all about money for them. what they don’t realize is this would’ve been way bigger than either of their channels if the proper work was put in.
@@chrissko4929 he didn't need to make other videos with so many followers, he was already out there and still benefitting from the views of old videos. The others wouldn't have had this benefit. It's not cut and dry, you like to think so, however he skipped over some major details and dismissed them as not important. Something tells me the missed details are the real reasons. Let's be honest with ourselves with no bias.. Brofive was essentially copying gm golf and brodie wanted in. How many of the videos were copying gms ideas? Almost all of them. So garrett over night is meant to be happy his channel that he has been grinding on is basically being reclaped by Brofive. Brodie said he didn't like that people would think gm golf videos were too similar to Brofive so to leave matt and Stephen out of them.. He basically copied all garretts ideas and used them in Brofive, pot kettle black? As much as you like to think it's cut and dry, I'd take what brodie is saying with a pinch of salt, or perhaps a whole salt flat, because he's never going to accept responsibility because fan boys like you will have their fantasy destroyed.
Nathan Roberts You crackin me up dawg callin me a fanboy. I’m a dude recognizing the fact that this shit was was a solid Idea. Were there some vids that Garrett had ideas for? Yes. I’m not dumb mate but at the same time the top vids are Brodie’s ideas. Brodie has a much higher following, more experience, and way more professionalism when doing deals with high notoriety (Ie hotels, golf clubs, golf pros, and even other popular youtubers). They hoed Brodie whom was willing to put in work to expand these kids following while also making it as fair as possible. Willing to do more work for 25% of the pie is dedication to the group and his belief in it. Undoubtably it’s cut and dry that these kids punted a great business opportunity for themselves but that’s on them and it just shows their immaturity. Not callin you a GM golf fanboy for defending them but most can’t deny that this with the proper work would’ve likely grew bigger than Brodie and GM. I personally think that 40,30,15,15 was fair but Brodie wanted it to work enough to take a cut. He made it fair for all just to get a phone call from an immature kid saying he can be replaced? Everyone can be replaced that’s business that’s life. Parents on the phone too?? Grow up kids don’t come at me foul for noting that this guy tried his best just to get hoed. Nevertheless I don’t think Brodie’s gonna have any issues in the future but without Brodie and the fact that GM has stalled completely, don’t expect GM to go anywhere anytime soon.
@@nathanroberts3581 These things are never cut and dry. That's what contracts are for. I agree that the videos were inspired by gm_golf. Who cares? Brody brought a lot of new traffic, know-how, and connections. I discovered gm_golf because of Brody. Some might bring more to the table than others, but you decide to be a team, sign contracts, and go for it. I think Brody had a better idea of the cost of being all in on this business venture. The others are younger and less experienced and it probably wasn't what they expected. I thought Brody humbled himself pretty well about his own mistakes. I hope they all learn and grow from this.
Didn't know how I watched this whole video without even knowing what bro5 was. It just shows how entertaining you are. Keep up the good work. They seem a little immature.
I remember when this went down. Decided to come back to this video after I just got back into watching golf stuff on UA-cam again after a while. Honestly I never really got into the Bro Five thing, the chemistry just wasn’t there. It just felt weird Brodie being a grown adult, 30-something years old, teaming up and hanging out with a bunch of kids.
Honestly I love every member that was apart of brofive and it’s very unfortunate this situation happened. I hope you all continue to grow and accomplish what you guys want. Thanks for the explanation. Much respect goes to you.
Summary: Garrett da boss. Garrett not feel BroFive so much. BroFive loyalists rightfully upset. BroFive slowly phased out. Lots of lessons learned and a little unprofessionalism sprinkled in. Young kids made mistakes, didn't know the game. Brodie here tried to ride their wave of popularity. They sensed that and kind of distanced. Vibes were never quite right. Not completely fair to Brodie or Steven. But it iz what it iz. Then came GoodGood with better vibes and maybe not so coincidentally, no Brodie.
These guys have known each other for less than a year..and were barely talking 11 days after bro5 officially launched..he doesnt miss the memories..he misses the potential
It was never even established ..they made videos and promoted it heavily prior to technically creating a contract and the legal work it takes to have a huge business. Was really very slack on everyones part...after taking so many donations on live streams promoting it and all
In case you don't read descriptions: Edit: Not sure if this was said in the video, but when we were talking contracts again weeks after our first talk about the 40, 30, 15,15 split, they said they wanted to go back to 25% across the board for everyone. We all agreed to that. Edit: Will be monitoring the comments for a little bit as well just so nothing nasty is said. A bunch of kids watch these videos so I hope we can keep the comments respectful even if you are upset. With that said if there are questions I didn't answer or things your confused about I can try and offer an answer.
So you’re saying these guys willingly were trying to give up money? I’m sorry but I find it hard to believe anyone would a give up a cut of their share. I love watching your stuff, but that sounds insane......
Jesus Brody, I am so sorry to hear this D: I watched the entire video, and I feel so sad. Good luck for the future brother! Minor Set back, Major Comeback!!! EDIT: This is my 4th time watching this entire video.... So sad, I can't get over this ): You deserve so much more Brody!
On paper, the whole deal seemed like a good idea, but I agree with the rest of the commenters: age gap is real. You're a mature committed entertainer with a sense of career direction, and the other guys are borderline burgeoning adults with too many options. It's sad that not one of them just manned up and said "Brodie, I'm sorry, but I don't want to be tied down. Let's make BroFive a sidegig for all of us, do the occasional video, and then see if things evolve over time". That would have saved so much frustration and wasted much less time.
considering they have gone on to be very successful and have probably made more money then he can imagine tells me they knew it was not a good deal. those kids are smart and they know what they are doing. I mean what is he even doing now? have not seen anything out of him since this. did he not switch from golf to disk golf? lmao tells a lot I think.
@@itsryanL47 not doing the numbers those kids are doing I am sure lmao the point was Brodie was going to keep them from excelling and they were smart enough to see that. I bet any of those guys could buy his channel and not even notice the money missing 😂
@@TrippyWheelsEnduro I mean he might not get as many video views as Good Good but he’s doing just fine and a monster when it comes to moving merch on the disc golf side, you kinda just sound like you don’t know what your talking about the Good Good guys have a clear advantage with golf as the sport is far more established and has a bigger audience then disc golf , but the disc golf content creation is brand new to the game and Brodie is right at the forefront of it growing the sport. They really aren’t a fair comparison. If he had gone on to make his own golf channel it would be different.
@@itsryanL47 and it’s his fault that he is not making more money because he is playing frisbee lol he’s never going to be at the the level of those guys. Facts are facts. You are trying to argue facts with just randomness lmao the good good guys all have more money than him fact end of story.

whos here after they briefly mentioned bro5ive on the good good podcast
Yes why was it recommended to me again!😂
🤣🤣🤣

Was just about to comment this same thing. Cudos to Brodie for being so supportive of Stephen and realizing that Brofive was all he had and even offering him a place to stay so they could figure it out. Huge respect to Brodie for that as well as Stephen for sticking with it as long as possible.
He still ghosted Brodie though. Didn't leave like a man by calling Brodie and saying he was going to go with GM. Just left with his tail between his legs.
Dyslexic Raccoon finally a kind of positive comment instead of everyone shitting on all of them and riding Brodie as hard as they can

2x speed is a beautiful thing... here’s the synopsis of the entire video for everyone:
Basically Garret and Matt started to plug their channels and merch, etc. on bro5 videos and stopped plugging bro5 into their own channels and videos. Brodie made a great connection with Bro5 and Dude perfect:
“Dude perfect focuses all of their efforts towards Dude Perfect and nothing else, there are no individual channels for each person”
With other channels to tend to such as GM golf and Matt’s channel blowing up, it’s difficult to manage and fully devote themselves to bro5 when they have other audiences to tend to.
Pandamonium AMVs thankyou so very very much
Thank you
So basically Brodie saying you're all replaceable screwed this up. Micah sucks btw.
Bennett Absolutely not!! Things were very off before they had that conversation and Bro5 was practically over at that point, he obviously could’ve used a better analogy or emphasized the fact that Stephen needs the channel more than them etc., but it was beyond saving at that point in time
Edit: I like Micah, I have been subscribed the GM’s channel since before Micah initially left, he’s a cool and calming guy, you’ll come around.
That moment when you find a UA-cam channel you really like and it’s already been canceled 🤷🏽♂️
Had the guys been even 10% more professional in their BroFive videos. But what I saw was immature egos trying to be entertainment. That's not me.
Good Good golf my guy. It’s the guys with much much better quality and all friends.
@@seanchasteen6226 good good led me to this cause I have watched all their stuff lol. I also follow each of them personally. But brofive vids are fun, more silly challenges to find easier as less content

CC Blaire like 58 min ish
Was gonna say the same thing. He’s a god damn adult who should be able to make his own decisions. But we all knew what he’d do.
You can tell that Garrett is such a little baby from every video he does on any of their channels. He is still a little baby by far my least favourite
If you don’t want to watch the whole thing:
Basically Garret and Matt weren’t doing their share in BroFive and were trying to grow their own brands rather than the group’s brand.
Thanks now I don't have to watch the whole video
Yea. Thanks for that.

I did watch the whole video, but that does a pretty good job of summing it up.

Bob wheel vids will still be in gm golf channel or Stephens or Matt’s
In fact a lot of similar content is posted on all three channels. Garret, Matt, and Stephen.
I watch all of them. Great content I just like the vibe of them all
I honestly think Brodie knew how big it could get, that’s why he was going to put all of his channels on hold to push the content. I don’t think Garrett and Matt realizes what it could be
The fact that you landed Matt Wolff for a channel that hadn’t even started yet over your own that has featured pro golfers shows an unbelievable amount of dedication to bro five.
Sad. The content was amazing. I’ll continue to support through the individual channels! Best of luck
This didn't age well.

you can't make a living on youtube if you don't take it seriously. even the most "fun" channels have managers, editors, social media marketing companies, etc. you gotta realize these guys do this for a living-not just for pocket change.
ALL ABOUT THE MONEY !
So... basically Brodie tried to make an awesome growth opportunity for the three of them and they chose money on the first step of the ladder. Garret even brought his parents to the business to further mess things up. Seems to me that is just a case of difference in maturity and its pretty clear whose the adult on the whole story.

Explain to me how the man who has the most “clout” and who needs brofive the least, puts more effort with more to sacrifice than the others.

What minute mark is the tammy ham?
PolancoFan when Tami gets involved you know it’s bad 😂
@ Josh Holmes agree 100%.
@ Lame good good is a joke
@@angrygilmore1573 this isn't aging very well
So really there was a huge mess of
miscommunication, greed and being to afraid to speak up.
Brodie,
Thank you for clarifying everything and giving us as fans closure. I’m sorry things didn’t work out. Loved the content.
With that being said, your channel kicks major a**. Keep doing your thing. I’ll be a loyal subscriber and keep watching. #TeamDarkhorse
Stephen was always my favorite. Hope he does alright. Same with you Brodie
UA-cam ain’t worth losing friends over.
Brodie, you need to do a collab with James Robinson. He's top 3 youtube channels I watch including Rick Shiels and yourself
lmfao, dropping dead weight for a career doing what you love is 100% worth it
Dang, this makes me so sad.
Would love to see someone's thoughts 5 months later after what has happened
basically Garrett and Matt started making fun of Brodie’s speech impediment
This was a truly honorable act bro, you did what was right and it shows that your are a quality guy.
Once again, appreciate your openness and I hope the best for both your channels as well as GM Golf
Ps.
Damn I didn’t know any of this was going on, I thought you guys just weren’t together for awhile so you weren’t filming videos with each other
Didn’t think I’d watch the whole thing 😂
I remember when this went down. Decided to come back to this video after I just got back into watching golf stuff on UA-cam again after a while. Honestly I never really got into the Bro Five thing, the chemistry just wasn’t there. It just felt weird Brodie being a grown adult, 30-something years old, teaming up and hanging out with a bunch of kids.
Honestly I love every member that was apart of brofive and it’s very unfortunate this situation happened. I hope you all continue to grow and accomplish what you guys want. Thanks for the explanation. Much respect goes to you.
Zack was smart not to get involved with bro five lol
Completely side with Brodie. It sound cliche but there is literally is no “I” in team
Still going to watch GM Golf and likely Brody's golf videos too.
Biggest takeaway from this video is respect for Steven.
Nah respect for Brodie garrets a 10 year old and Stephen and matt are his followers
Stephan is not even a athlete
Ricky Brooks truth
Easy way to settle this... 9 hole challenge between Garret and Brodie
Lmao I don't think their 9 on speaking terms rn
Summary:
Garrett da boss.
Low key got kind of sad when Brodie started talking about the good memories he had when the group was still together
These guys have known each other for less than a year..and were barely talking 11 days after bro5 officially launched..he doesnt miss the memories..he misses the potential
It was never even established ..they made videos and promoted it heavily prior to technically creating a contract and the legal work it takes to have a huge business. Was really very slack on everyones part...after taking so many donations on live streams promoting it and all
In case you don't read descriptions:
Edit: Not sure if this was said in the video, but when we were talking contracts again weeks after our first talk about the 40, 30, 15,15 split, they said they wanted to go back to 25% across the board for everyone.
BroFive brobie man you are fine you do you I will be supporting your channel!!!
So you’re saying these guys willingly were trying to give up money? I’m sorry but I find it hard to believe anyone would a give up a cut of their share. I love watching your stuff, but that sounds insane......
Yup..we started 25% a person, then 40, 30, 15, 15 and then back to 25% a few weeks later.
It’s always money. It’s ashame because I was loving the videos but definitely will not stop the separated support on the different channels 👍🏻
Where are we golfing in Dallas Sunday?
So funny how they didn’t want to do course vlogs, now that’s basically the whole UA-cam golf META. Brodie had it figured out 3 years ago.
I’ll find it hard to watch gm vids now..
Liam Richards facts Yeo
@@TrippyWheelsEndurolmfao maybe just search the name Brodie Smith he’s doing just fine regardless of sport 😂
