I don't like my arms but i use tanning lotion on them in the summer. Brown arms are less noticable than white arms
I do that too- it does help
That color pink looks fabulous on you! You are glowing!
What a beautiful colour on you, pink looks striking.
Oh thank you!
Off topic…but…I recently purchased 2 pair of wide leg linen pants from Old Navy. Fit well, not scratchy and drape nicely. I wasn’t sure if they would be flattering but they work. You have to try things on. People notice the smile on your face more than your attire so if you feel good you look good. Wear what makes you happy.
Thank you for addressing this issue! You've done it with dignity and calm. I appreciate that!
Another hint is self tanner. It really makes a difference.
Its not just the flabby under arms at 63 but its the sagging of all the skin which wrinkles down as the skin drops. Ehen my arms are by my sides i can see the pull from top to wrist as the heaviness weighs. Up and down weight all my life exercise not consistent dieting without thought of protein for muscle building as muscles deplete with just diet and no body building. Nothing is going to bring gravity to my skin but i am going to improve my health, diet exercise for strength.
I recently discovered detachable sleeves. They’ve opened a whole new world for me. Most of them are very sheer and in the hot, humid climate where I live, fabrics that allow my skin to breathe is imperative.
I feel uncomfortable exposing my upper arms, but your confidence about it inspires me. Found a sleeveless top that works for me and I'm going to try it this summer! Really appreciate your tips on camouflaging upper arms and creating lovely silhouettes. Thank you, Cathy!
Wonderful!
Come on people - don't just watch without subscribing ! It costs nothing - and Cathy deserves the support. More good tips!
Thanks Fiona! 💖
Elbow length is my new favorite sleeve! The tie-sleeve is really cute too 💜
I have very crepey skin on my arms and thighs from losing weight too fast. I found that Gold Bond Retinol Overnight lotion helps with reducing the look. I still have flabby u derarms, but they aren't as crepey.
Thanks for the wonderful and positive videos, Cathy! You are always sharing great tips ☀️
Thank you so much!
Good tips! I always wear 3/4 sleeves over sleeveless. Much more comfortable for me. Thanks for sharing!
Cathy, I love having another overweight woman give tips to overweight women. No one wants to hear someone with no backfat tell you, "this bra doesn't show backfat". Well, dear, that's because you're 5'7" and weight 80 lbs, you don't have ANY backfat! Thank you so much for all you do to help us! God bless you.
I wanted to tell you how especially gorgeous you look in this top/dress. That color is great on you Cathy!
Oh thank you!
Gosh, you are so good at this. You just get better and better. I have flabby arms because I am 77 and don’t exercise, (don’t judge, I have a cardiac tumor) I am going to check out the sheer or lightweight toppers so I can wear the sleeveless dresses I have. Great ideas. And thanks for all the research and effort you put into your work. It is great content.
Thank you! 🥰🥰
Very nice tips on covering upper arms. Thank you!
Thank you Cathy for another great video with great tips! ❤
Thanks for the tips! You have a beautiful glow today!
I don't really care what people think about my arms. I do like to wear some type of sleeves when I dress more chic. Summertime, I wear tank tops because it's more comfortable in the heat. Thanks Cathy, have a great weekend! 🥰
At the age of 68 I try to not care about my sagging and drooping body parts. I grew up in a time where physical looks were a girl/womans most important attribute. That is how you were going to get a "good" husband. Be yourself, be happy, be healthy and wear what you want..life is short..don't waste time on crap that doesn't matter.
I do have large upper arms. I have been doing exercises everyday to try to help with them. But I wear elbow length sleeves. And my right arm is bigger than my left arm. When I worked I had great arms. Because I had to lift things and move my arms everyday. But when I retired my arms just fell apart. I own several shrugs. And cardigans. I would love a pool. I know we went on vacation, and I swam everyday. And it changed my whole body. But we don’t have anywhere to put a pool. So I’m looking at places to move so I can get one.
Great video, Cathy! Am I the only petite lady in her 60s who looks really strange in elbow-length-sleeve tops? They're usually t-shirts (think Land's End) and they make my whole body look totally out-of-proportion. Regular-length t-shirt short sleeves or sleeveless are the only warm weather sleeves that don't make me look like an alien. 👽 (My apologies to aliens.)
Hi Cathy. Great video for a common upper arm problem in warmer months. I loved all the fashion tips. I do have a lot of sheer sleeves tops/blouses and they look very nice. Love your glowy skin and make up today too. 👗💄💖
Thanks! 🥰
Hi Cathy, thank you for your videos. I'm 4' 10" and weigh 230 lbs. I've never been much into fashion or makeup and usually wear black elastic knit pants and a men's navy or black t-shirt. Not very attractive I guess. I'm inspired by your videos and want to try looking more attractive.
Great tips! I'm okay with my arms for the most part, but elbow sleeves are my favorite and you showed some very pretty examples. Love sheer sleeves too! Rolling sleeves on regular shirts works for me too in warmer weather. That pink dress is so pretty on you... just perfect with your skin tone! I keep going back to that and should just buy it!! Thank you for another helpful, encouraging video!
Thanks Karen! 💖
Great video! Rooting for you to get to 100k!!!
Thanks!
Years ago I found that sleeveless tops made such a difference in summer, way more comfortable, so I’m ok with my arms showing. Interestingly I find that cap sleeves never look good on me and you did a good job explaining why that might be. Wish I could wear off the shoulder tops but so far there’s no strapless bra in the world that works for me (I’ve tried the best options suggested by the pros/bra fitters). I still have some of the bare shoulder tops that were popular in recent years and they show off just the top of the outside of my arm and camouflage the looser bits under my arm - I still like these shirts and have kept a few. I appreciate the helpful suggestions you made 😊
Thanks Patricia! 💖
Love watching your videos! You always make me smile and help me to be less critical about the way I look. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! 💖
Hi Cathy. Thank you for all the great tips. ❤️
Thanks for watching!
Hi from the States,Cathy. I’m new to your channel and I subscribed right away. Love your tips and tricks. Very helpful channel. Cheers!
Thank you!
Great tips. Thanks Cathy , for sharing this with us. Have a great day. 😊
Thank you! You too!
Excellent tips! I love your channel .
Thanks so much!
You're glowing, you keep younger in every other video!
Thanks!
A floaty top that ends in a bell sleeve at the wrist works well because your upper arms are slim by contrast.
Just a word on jewelry. I would emphasize wearing dainty or delicate bracelets. Stay away from thick, layered or cuff bracelets. You want the daintiness of the bracelet to emphasize the thinness of your wrist. Covering up your wrist just connects the wideness of your hand with your poofy forearm, making a solid line that looks like a tree branch.
Hi Cathy! One of my UA-cam channels calls the chicken bits, chicklets! lol neither sounds harsh to me. Looking great🎉
Thanks Susan! 💖
Great video. I haven’t shown my arms since 1980.😅😅😅😅
There are lacey sleeves you can buy to wear with sleeveless tops and dresses. Amazon and Temu sell them. They fancy up your outfit, don’t make you too hot.
Also, you’ve probably mentioned this before, but I find using Jergens or L’Oreal self tanner makes everything look better and healthier.
OMG Kathy you are hilarious!! "How to conceal upper arm fat"! 🤣
I am uncomfortable exposing my upper arms. I do not go out in public in sleeveless/short sleeves/tank tops or wear a swimsuit. I am to embarrassed. I wear what they call elbow sleeves. I lost 87lbs in 14 months back in 2020-21 and have proudly kept off. When your 60 or an older gal you are gonna have loose skin or if your yoo yoo dieter...thats what happens. So I don't expose my flab....just saying thats just me. I am contemplating surgery for my belly roll.
I'm contemplating surgery on my upper arm flab. SO frustrating when you find something cute or amazing to wear, but the upper arm sleeves are _just too tight_ It ruins the entire top or jacket and you can't wear it at all. Except for extensive tailoring to widen the sleeve, nothing will fix it.
I dislike my upper arms. I have been losing weight and toning up and am about to experiment with sleeveless again.thanks to you!😊
Awesome!!
I just found a swimsuit on Amazon that is a one piece but it has a sheer material that goes over the arm area so it helps hide the flab. It also Rousing so it helps hide the tummy as well.
I have flabby arms, and I will not wear sleeveless shirts to show my flab, I person think it looks nasty, showing flabby arms.I dress nice , but I avoid, those clothes that are show the flab..I think women with big arms should raise there arms in front of a mirror, to see how there arms look..
I think that women should wear what makes them feel good and gives them confidence.
Sounds like you are a people-pleaser (or seeing other's flab makes you dislike yourself more), which is also nasty, just on the inside. I don't like to show mine either, but it's a personal preference. It doesn't matter what other people think, except when it comes to modesty. I'm glad that Cathy feels comfortable showing her body, she has a healthy perspective. I admire her for that and wish I could have that perspective also.

The dreaded chicken bits!! Even though I am a lot thinner now, I still have them! Oh well. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Cathy, love the video
do a viedo on a jumpsuits. just ordered the spanx jumpsuite seems it would be good for traveling. thanks love your viedos.
I have been thinking about SPANX jumpsuits as while
Which jumpsuit did you buy? I have the long sleeve Air Essentials, I showed that back in January I think. I see that they have a short sleeve version for summer.
@@StyleWithCathyOver50 can you send me the link?

Not a fan of jumpsuits.
Hi Cathy. Great job! I utilize all of these tips every Summer. I look forward to the day that my arms slim down so I don’t need to be so ashamed of myself. Sending hugs❣️
Never be ashamed Gina! You are beautiful! 💖
I think you meant to call them angel wings 😉
Thank you! Great ideas! But why are all the models a size 4? They don’t have the problems we are discussing
Good question to ask the brands, I can only use the photos that they provide.
Check out HSN or WVC. Most of their models are on the heavy size.
QVC
You mean a size 0? Yes, I also thought that to be odd. I guess they think overweight people are in denial or something and need a fictitious picture of how the clothes will look on them. I'm sure they know their gonna be dealing with a lot of returns, but if they make the customer pay for it, it doesn't matter to them. Yes, I want to see how it clings to a fat person (like me) rather than hangs nicely.
How to you shop at Chicos I live in Canada
I order online. At checkout all duties and taxes are included.
❤
When you’ve fat or flabby arms, just don’t show them. Elbow-length sleeves are far more elegant
It's the crepey skin I'm not overweight but I still get this creepy skin I'm 66..
Trying to put up the facade is too much work instead of just losing weight. but it's gravity I'm not overweight but I got the creepy
I have very flabby arms! Love ❤️
Yes I have flabby arms!
Is there a measurement ratio for each body type? I’m trying to figure out my body type… not quite sure…
Yes, if you Google it you will find the formula. I find it easier to eyeball it. I did a video a while back, if you search "body shapes" and my channel name you will find it.
I think Erin Busbee has a video about this

Good morning. How to dress so as not to look like
baby gingerbread? (Old baby). Not to look funny and embarrassing. Can You express your opinion, please?
I Think:don't hide. Be comfortable with style...and no floral blouse-> its frumpy.
Floral prints are very in style right now
I think its quite nice and on trend.
Chicken bits? Flabby? You contrast yourself in your videos with words like these and more positive words. It would be nice to hear you talk about your body more kindly. It has carried you to this point in your life and didn’t break down. Its great losing weight and focusing on health but try to talk kinder to yourself…I do love your channel though and you are a very nice fellow Canadian apple 🤪
I disagree, I do not put myself down.
I used to be 224 lbs (lost 90 of that) and if I had been kind to myself I would have said that's ok just carry on and kill yourself before your time, and leave your kids with no mother (I was 59, and lost my own mother when I was a teenager and she was 49). I did quite the opposite and told myself I was a horrible fat mess who was going to die if I stayed as I was. Sometimes you have to face the truth. Don't kid yourself, especially where excess weight is concerned....and I'm not suggesting you are overweight yourself, just to clear that up.
Disagree, Cathy says to “embrace your body”. She is kind to herself and to everyone watching.
Incredibly rude comment ! I think Cathy has a very positive body image and stresses to love your body.
She wasn’t referring to herself.
