- I Filmed this video months ago! We finally get our hands on this 3rd gen and see what were dealing with. After this video i decided that this truck is going to be my "winter beater" to keep my 4th gen out of the elements! We have some work to do to clean this up and we'll have a great running truck for years to come! I have a special paint job in mind thats really gonna set this off!

bro not just a bed lol you can fist your cab corners and rockers. gonna need front end steering rebuilt as well. trans needs some attention. frame is cooked. shocks are gone. that old t case will explode if you don't refresh it before you add power to the truck. driveshafts will go quick too. also careful with the tunes without headstuds. ive seen sooooo many 5.9's pop their head from kids throwing a 5" exhaust and a spicy tune on their 15 yr old truck and wonder why it happened. lol

Im pretty sure your neural safety switch is bad i had the same issue buying a flooded 5.9 cummins it would start driving in second not third
Only to realize that the neutral safety switch/ sensor had not water but transmission fluid inside of the sensor what happened is its inside the trans and theres a seal that seals the internal of the sensor overtime from heat cycles or additives being added to the trans they send to swell up and soften up to the point where it lets fluid in
And thats where your trans starts to act up
Sometimes you wont even get a code and when you put it in park it slams hard sometimes. Hopefully yours is as simple as that but if thats the case id fix it quick because 2 weeks later my torque converter went out i did full rebuild and realized no clutches were bad but kept the new parts in with a new tc since i had them bought anyways

Ryan I’m in canton ohio. I got an 03 3rd gen rust free I’m selling. I do want to keep the bed for my cummins. But it’s got a rust free cab, doors, and front end. Rust free frame. 5.9 gasser that runs. Tranny issue so will need trailerd. After it warms up it just revs and won’t drive. So can pull on a trailer. I’m taking the bed then I’d give you the rest for $1500
It’s a short bed anyways so wouldn’t work for you
