The way you do “mathing” and “sciencing” really helps my brain to comprehend this game better. During this recent refining event, I have switched my focus of wall general gear to flat refines. The high numbered ones are hard to get, but more beneficial to success of my defense. Keep up the good work!
Subbed to your channel from recent video today and now watching more. When it comes to qualified vs. universal and realizing that while reading the general skills is it the verbage "while leading the army" vs. "while leading the army to attack" I think I realized if it said to attack meant it didn't work while reinforcing. If it's as simple as that, mentioning that verbage in anyone followon vid might be useful, or perhaps I'm wrong. Thanks, great channel!
Yeah, but the problem is there are those who say “when reinforcing” (eg dmitry) and the importance is understanding that the QUANTITY of buffs when universal are expectedly lower!!! Look at blazons. The unibuffs are something like 20-40pct weaker than the qualified buffs! Its an important concept when weighing value of a historic sub, regular sub, blazon, general, refine, hero gear, -essentially ANYTHING.
This video is underappreciated It adds so much clarity to how to effectively grow (especially for free-to-play). I do not need more generals. I need to learn to choose the proper generals for specific situations and then equip them properly. "He gets on base" and I do not care how..
i have a few questions on marching buffs, it seems they should work on bosses, because you are marching to attack. how do you even check that? also if they work while marching to hold buildings, shouldnt they also work for "marching" to reinforce? does that mean marching buffs are pvp/battlefield specific? also, if in city buffs work while reinforcing, does that mean you can send a wall gen as your reinforcing General? thanks for your time, you my friend are a guru & your videos explain super clearly, the confusing aspects of this money pit, lol!
Yeah, you’re assuming that evony WANTS to make sense?!! Lol…As for the wall gen-you would lose the gold box bc theyre qualified buffs for “when is wall gen.” If you send it as the leader of a marching army, you’d lose that gold box. But if the specs are “in city” hut not tied to wall gen position-then those would be on. Will cover during general vids

Derrick Defies mentions in his video about the speed skill books for mounted and ground not working properly after sandboxing a few months ago. Has this been fixed from your reports, or is there an actual reason to have these skill books on a wall general? Hey bud-i no longer use marshall-havent for months. I use edward teach as assistant. And i heard that from derrick’s vids-but even so-i mailed CS to check if this was true-and they responded that yes, the speed skill books are qualified as “attacking” only. But this was after i replaced marshall…so i never replaced on him-because i dont use him. Was that in this video?
@JWevony it was in this previous video where you show Leo as main wall general and William as assistant. However, Derrick never mentioned that the books were focused on attacking only and not just always broken. Thank you for clearing up the mounted and ground speed book and how it actually works.
I hust recently started watching your videos and you definitely give some good information! I am on server 492, K35 and a low to mid coiner. I may have missed it but will the flat refines also count for defense on sub general gear? I have 2 generals full Achaemenidae and my others may have 2 to 4 pieces because of being short on materials. I am correcting passed mistakes with refines for my wall general. After watching some of your videos I will be adding more troops for mid layers.
Bad ASS! If you ever decide to do zoom stuff outside your alliance I’d like to take a lesson. I believe that the way you’re breaking it down is the correct way and the defense is more important ESPECIALLY for us low coiner/f2p players.
How can you determine whether or not In-City Buffs are functional in reinforcement? If im not mistaken defense reports and scouts only show the main keeps buffs/debuffs
i have a question if the runner's buffs dont apply to the grunt troops why is the guy with better buffs who run rallies and why do we only send the type of troops his main general is buffing ?
Maybe I misunderstood you. Did you say that attacking/marching buffs don't apply for killing bosses but apply for holding buildings in battlefield? That makes so little sense in my head...Evony quantum logic strikes again.
Genghis explained that attacking and marching are not the same. Attacking is if you're attacking, marching applies anytime your troops are outside the city. (Reinforcing, Attacking, Reinforcing, Bosses) I'm pretty sure I use the Marching Mounted horn to kill bosses and it applies

Being a f2p / low coiner(stamina packs only), i am having a hard time growing my keep especially when it comes to defense.... Very limited on debuffing siege hp, ground attack on defense and more over... Now that evony is banning alts (dumb af) how do you see a f2p account every reaching K40 in this lifetime with the amount of rss required to even get there... I am a K37 and i have enough to get to K38 but cant get the rss from alts nor can i gather/rally enough to even get 20B per rss on a single account to complete a basic consumption event. 😬 .... The game is really well designed but not well built, lags glitches and the money hungry attutide of top games is beyond ridiculous... Lastly if you can, can you cover how a f2p player can built up basic defenses without going all flats on the wall with T1 defenses.... This limits the ability for making a lot of higher level troops honestly... So idk which way to go😅

And yes, marching does affect bossing. That was an error on my part when making the vid. But after 14 hrs of straight operating…🤷🏻♂️
Attacking is Marching. Marching is Attacking, Reinforcing, In Rally and Monsters (and whatever Sitting in a building is).
When i tested it-attacking did increase vs monsters and in rally as well. And marching does NOT do reinforcing

evony is banning some alts-but they do that from time to time. They’re never gonna be able to ban them altogether as much as they wish they could.
