    thumbs up for using old packing foam. that was brilliant. you also may have been able to cut out the shapes better if you made a vertical cutter like a band saw with the nickel chrome wire.
    20mah battery isn't much at all. a 2032 coin cell would give 220-235mah. and possibly weigh about the same.

  • @AxelBitz
    @AxelBitz 4 роки тому +29

    I don't know about anyone else, but I also need a tutorial about that wire foam cutter!

    • @peteohm
      @peteohm 4 роки тому +2

      Easy. Put weights on the ends of a nichrome wire with ends draped over the edge of the table. Use 2 same diameter drill bits under the wire to the thickness desired.

    • @AngryHybridApe
      @AngryHybridApe 3 роки тому

      @@bryanewyatt thin magnet wire wrapped around a pencil 25 times, slid off the pencil and superglued to hold it together. A small neodymium magnet that will fits through the hole. Current will make the coil move one way or the other. I dont know the voltage. I would start with 1.5 volts. The actual wraps around the pencil im not sure about. But ive seen them before. Im guessing 25 -30 wraps the thinnest magnet wire you can get. Power up 3.0 uses it. But I highly suggest not buying them. I bought 2 and theyre horrible.

    its an Actuator instead of an Servo Motor... its an hand wound coil of "painted" copper wire ;) the paint acts as an dielectric fluid so its avoidin shorts between the windings :) if you put an source on the coil it would make its own magnetic field and will pull the static magnet to itself :) and into the other direction if you invert +/- hope you understand what i mean :D my english is not the best... please correct me if iam wrong :D

    I have a deviated Devo 10.
    Can you give me some suggestions for a good starter kit please?
    I want to build some models which can be flown inside in a 5m x 5m room.
