This is so sad :( buy Im sure Luna had happy and best life possible with you! Im crying because our first gerbil was also named Luna...she was amazing and passed away last year 😢. People dont understand how these small crazy creatures can be forever in our heart ❤.
sorry i was late to commenting. im so sorry heather! i remember loosing one of my gerbils and now i just have a single gerbil. RIP Luna... you shall forever be remembered and loved
It's so hard to lose one of these guys. I lost my Magnolia three weeks ago and I'm attending a Pet Loss Support Group through the Chicago Medical Veterinary Association. I've been to this group in person; they now meet online the first Wed of each month through Zoom. It's facilitated by a (real) therapist and a veterinarian, so it's trustworthy. For those who have suffered a loss, it may help to find a pet loss support group on your area. My best to Heather MacKay who does so much for gerbil owners and breeders. Sincerely, Shari Heather
That's wonderful that you've got a group like that ❤️ I've joined a group on Facebook "The Ralph Site Pet Loss Support Group" and they've been so lovely there, it's helpful to have places like that with others who understand. I'm sorry to hear about your Magnolia, I'm positive she had a wonderful life with you and felt all the love you had to give, I hope you're holding up okay x
She had a suspected respiratory infection, I tried for 2 weeks with 3 different lots of antibiotics + pain relief/anti-inflammatories and a nebuliser 2x per day, she'd get better for a couple of days, then go down again, the last time she went down she was almost constantly clicking, sneezing & whimpering, the vet said we could do more investigations but the kinds of things we'd be looking for wouldn't really be anything we could fix, so I decided to have her PTS to ease her suffering
R.I.P Luna. May you burrow in the cosiest bedding in heaven.
She was so beautiful.
Noooooooooo
Beautiful little one. ❤
