Ya we must do that. I'll Catch it and clean it and rudi cook and eat it🤣 I can't eat fish. I have a fish allergy, and yes, it sucks not being able to eat fresh fish..
Hi Wes ,nice vet gurnads and stokkies . That stokkie gills and teeth bugger a man's hands up pritty good. The sting of stokkie burns a lot but it isn't the same as a barber. Keep up the good work.
just a question to someone knows more than i do, how much rope do you let out on an average day when fishing for stokkies. lets say you in 80m of water. (I know the usual rule of 3 times the depth but that seems like a lot of line)
How's it going. We actually added more rope and heavier and longer chain. So we put out as much as we can but we didn't have enough. We have just over 200m now so we should be soughted. It's very important that your anchor doesn't drag.
How's it Matthew. That day I was using a 60g jig. But I have up to 200g I use in deeper water if there's some current. If the current is hectic I don't generally jig. I find the current affects the action negatively.
Nice one Wes and Rudy. Catch clean and cook😂

How's going. Ya look those stock kill your hands. You mean the gurnard sting? I'm very careful with them because I'm allergic to fish.
@fishingPLZ the big thing is the ⛓ chain , at least 10m. Rope 2x the the bottom where you fishing.
@fishingPLZ the top fin has a sharp point and whe it pokes is burns but not as much as a barber.
Ok iv never been been stung. All the fins on the hake we catch are soft. I know get different species.
@fishingPLZ I am talking about gurnad and the spikes on the gills 👍

That's for your anchor rope mate. Drop your fishing line to the bottom, and then give a few turns up.
@andrewbouwer4445 if you fishing for hake you have to hit bottom. They very lazy fish and wont swim up a few meters.
Do you ever release the stockvis?
How's it piet.
Yes course we do. I don't record each and every fish I catch. I don't have enough batteries and memory cards to record all day.
@@fishingPLZ would be nice to see you release some of them for a change.
what weght are the jigs
How's it Matthew.

@@fishingPLZ shot for the response and may i also ask how deep you were fishing on the day
Was around 80m if I remember correctly.
