- fun technique to make your cinnamon bread a bit more special!

The recipe is typed out for you IN the video. Error on the salt....its 1 tsp not tablespoon.
recipe:
2 tsp instant yeast
2 tbls sugar
2 tbls soft butter
1 tsp salt
2 tbls milk powder
1 1/2 cups warm water
1 tbls honey
1 tbls vanilla extract
4 cups bread flour
Knead 5 minutes
1st rise 1 hour
Powdered sugar and cinnamon for ribbons of swirl
1 egg with 1 tsp water beaten for brushing the top.
add cinnamon sugar to top and sprinkle
2nd rise 30 minutes
bake 350 for 30-35 minutes until golden brown

I have now made this bread 3 times and each time it comes out better and better. I make 2 small loaves because I don’t have a Pullman pan. But that works just fine. I made them for Christmas Brunch the other day and it was a real hit!! Everyone is asking for the recipe. AND they were very pretty - even found “sanding sugar” at Walmart that looked like gold glitter. Pretty and festive with a white icing. Thank you! This video is very easy to follow with detailed and directions that don’t rush us through. Update: 11-27-22: I bought a Pullman Pan and have baked this now numerous times. Awesome!

It’s Arlene, I made this bread today Oh my, came out beautiful and made the oat bread each goes to one of my sons and one for my little ones. I love making bread, my Grandson Mason loves it.U have taught me well. Fri. My friend is coming to bake here. Will be fun. made all this bread and non for us!! Fri. is another day. I’ve been making this bread for years. We like it with brown sugar n cinnamon on the inside and some time raisins. Yours looked good too.

I didn't have powered sugar , I used brown sugar, I usedsoft butter

Tried this for the first time, we loved it! I measured out my brown sugar, so next time a cup of brown sugar, 1-2 teaspoons of cinnamon works great for these 2 loaves of bread.

Made this today! So yummy!! I had to adjust a little. Since I don't have the sifter attachment, I combined dry ingredients and whisked them. I added one cup to the yeast mix then the vanilla and butter, then one cup of the dry mix at a time until combined. This was a hit with my family! Thank you for the recipe!
That would be even more delicious with sliced apples and/or raisins!

It’s called a Babka! The filled, rolled, sliced and twisted technique is from the traditional babka. Chocolate filled is possibly the most popular version. I’ve made one with an eggnog-cream cheese and cranberries filling (with a dash of nutmeg in the dough, one of my favorite warming spices).
I love the honey in the dough in this version, and someone’s suggestion of apples and/or raisins with the cinnamon! I’m going to have to make that. :)
