Well. That's a streach. The firing pin rolls pin will break if you dry fire just a little bit. The trigger return spring will break at about 5000 rounds as well as the recoil spring. Of course, this does not preclude the addition of the cz 75 b to the list of most awsome old school side arms but to say that nothing can go wrong with the platform is a streach.
I purchased 75 B Omega some time ago because I liked the more ascetic and 'older era' design' when Check Republic (at that time Czechoslovakia) was part of the Warsaw Pact and not NATO member. Both guns passed NATO test so quality-wise there are not that much different. And since I don't use any kind of accessories I don't miss the rail to mount some. But there is one distinctive feature which made me choose 75 B over SP-01 - I wanted something easy to convert to 22lr. To my knowledge, only 75 B allows you to use the 22lr Kadet slide without any adjustments (with SP-01 one needs to use a file to remove a bit of material from the slide to make it compatible with SP-01). I have never had SP-01so I can't just say "both are great guns" yet as the SP-01 is an evolution of 75 B it must be a great gun too. Love my CP 75 anyway ::)
There is a 22 conversion for the 75B? EPIC! I was going to get a Ruger 10/22 for plinking but I'll look into that instead. The range I am a member of has competition days for 9mm and 22 lr and it would be cool to use the 75B for both. They discontinued the omega series so keep onto that piece. The SP-01 is bigger and heavier than the 75B and the controls are slightly different. The trigger, barrel and hammers are the only things that are the same on both models.
Cz 75 b is a great gun. I carry the compact daily. One draw back is that if you are the type who wishes to thoroughly clean your pistol with a complete take down, you will find the firing pin retaining pin a bit cumbersome. That is to say, it is very easy to mar the slide serrations upon installing or removing the pin. Also the the factory retaining pin is prone to breakage if dry fired without precautions. I guess that was two draw backs.
Mehhh, I prefer the old school “𝓒𝓵𝓪𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓬” looks, feel and function of the 75 B model. I’ll keep carrying it when I’m driving my 65 Ford Mustang or 69 Chevy Chevelle SS. Keep’n it old school style.
@@erik22lax indeed! It’s how I feel about old “muscle car” guns too. 1911’s, Broening Hi Powers, CZ 75’s (Pre-B is my favorite) and older Beretta 92F models (before the FS version).
I know this video is a bit old, but the CZ75 can definitely mount an accessory rail. Its just up to the individual shooter on whether or not they wanna pursue the effort necessary to do it the old school way
I was on their website the other day and didn't see any aluminum grips. The CZ aluminum grips are $100 I do know that. I have been looking at different grips for the CZ 75 but haven't found anything I couldn't live without yet.
You will also use double action to double strike a round that doesn't go off if you choose to , just for the record I carry hammer down on a live round every day now
I'd rather have the more utilitarian 75b on my hip all day than the tactical. Especially hiking through the woods. If it's just a range toy then I'd definitely favor the SP-01.
Nothing can go wrong with full size 75! Nice review!
I totally agree!

Excellent review! I just purchased the 75B and saving up to get the SP-01. 👍
They are very nice quality for the price.
I have had both of these pistols to CZ 75 brilliant and now moved on to the CZSP0 one just as good because of improvements in technology.
Thank you for a full review
Excellent and very well detailed review! Thanks

@@erik22lax Yes, there is - Kaded II 22lr conversion kit. Easy to find, easy to switch to from 9mm, not expensive and works like a charm :)
@@MariuszPelcPL Thanks bro-good looking out I am going to look for one. I got a new CZ coming next week btw, stay tuned!

I am certain some day I'll get one too but currently paying off the Shadow 2 I bought 🙃
I use snap caps when dry firing
Number 83 runner o ring in hammer to dry fire. Will solve the problem if you want to dry fire. You’re welcome.
Totally agree. super great pistol
P01 felt nose heavy to me, can't imagine adding more weight on the rail. I love the balance on my B model, you cradle most the weight.
do you have steel or aluminum framed P-01?
I put a sp01 on layaway. Can't wait !
nice 👍
I am looking really hard at the SP01 tactical at local shop. I have a suppressor ready urban gray 75B omega, a P07, and a TS Czechmate.
Well it will be a huge downgrade from the Czechmate but nicer than the rest imo
@@erik22lax the Czechmate doesn't get shot a lot. Saving it for when I get involved with local USPSA. It puts every other gun I have shot to shame.
Just got my sp-01as my first gun cant wait to take it shooting
Did you get the tactical model with the decocker or the manual safety version?
Your videos should have WAY more views!!
Work in progress 👍

My Dad had a 1971 Z28 Camaro that had flames on the hood when I was a teenager-that was a cool car. Nothing better than the muscle car era.

True but the Sp-01 is the tacti-cool version

Buy both and the problem of indecision is solved .
Those look like aftermarket sights. My sp-01 came factory with tritium night sights. I wonder if they swapped out the sights after i picked mine up.
So beautiful
Do you know if lok grips make aluminum grips for the sp01?

Nothing “weak” about the slide design it is actually stronger. But it takes time to get used to.
clear everything up for me. sp o1 is definitely the one to go for
Can't go wrong with either
Yes
If ya like nose heavy.
75b is so pretty 😍
Does the sp01 have a firing pin block?
Yes.
regular SP-01 has it but SP01 Shadow does not, also you can remove it to install short reset disconnector to have better trigger.
I have the spo1, p-10 and p-07 all great shooters.
I saw the p10f on closeout for $400 but I like the all metal frame over the polymer
Hi Is this cz more expensive than a beretta 92 or do they have similar prices?
Which one? The 75B is cheaper than the SP-01. I would say the 92 and SP-01 are similar price range. You can get 75b for $500 range.
@@erik22laxand cz sp01 price??
@@abeldiaz7770 $800
So change the sights if you don’t like it
On top of it is as close to an all weather load and forget pistol hat ever existed.
The magazine s are inter changeable
yes
Don't see a reason to ever buy a 75B over a SP-01. You get a ton more features for a little bit more.
I got the 75b 1st but it's still a nice piece of kit
CZ 75B Looks cooler and it's slightly lighter
Most cz guys don't see a reason not to buy every cz they can get their hands on. What are you even saying right now? Wtf 😆
