It brings back memories of my cruise on Brilliance Of The Seas and I ate in Giovanni and Chops Grille and both had delicious food as well Royal Caribbean took great care of my dietary needs in the Main Dining Room as well as Windjammer too and will definitely go back on a Royal Caribbean ship again for sure and had the best time onboard
My boyfriend and his family is on this cruise right now and this vid was posted the day after he left on the cruise. It’s kinda nice to see what he’s on right now
Great overlook of the ship. Never been on this class of ship , looks similar to Vision class and we've done all of them. We'll be on Brilliance for the upcoming New Years cruise.
Great review and thank you. Fabulous memories of Radiance OTS. That Schooner Bar location and windows was always our favourite of any. Goes off to book a cruise on Brilliance ................
Have watched several tours of this ship and by far yours is the Best , Hands Down. Will be on the ship from April 4 th to 29 th . Looking Forward to it. Thanks again for an Excellent Tour.
Went on Radiance in 2015, loved this class of ship. It's a shame that today's ships don't include places like shown at 16:06 - quiet zones with deckchairs, away from music and other distractions, offering a chill place to read and watch the ocean go by.
Excellent walk-through - very nice.. We are on the Brilliance of the Seas 7-Night Alaska Inside Passage Cruise starting 26th May as part of our Tripadeal tour. Thanks 🙂
I've been on 6 Royal cruises so far. And the staff are absolutely phenomenal so I know your so is great. I have yet to meet a staff member I did not like. My wife wants to go on a longer cruise, so we will probably go on this one.
@@bigsouthstrength aw thank you that’s lovely to hear, especially when he’s on the other side of the world right now! He works very hard but loves it, he was on the Navigator previously, he’s a stage manager so he’s living his dream!
It looks Sooo much better than the Virgin vessels in a previous video. The Royal Caribbean cruise line makes it a really Royal experience in design, materials etc Thanks. Laurie NZ. 😮
Absolutely loved your video Adrian I am sailing on her on 30th March to 4th April Sydney to Hobart totally looking forward to it, some of those awesome looking bars and dining rooms are so inviting. By the way booked and paid for on Virgin Brisbane to Cairns 16th December to 23rd December I was totally impressed with my 2 nights Melbourne to Burnie with Virgin so I couldn't help myself to do a longer cruise with Virgin till next time all the very best for 2024 and happy cruising 😂.
G' Day Adrian. Happy New Year. Brilliance is maintained very well, she is immaculate. The Schooner Bar has been a fixture for a long time. A classic nod to RCI's past. I wonder if the single access venues (Outdoor access) have an indoor path? I wondered how you'd get there in inclimate weather?? And also, all the special eateries that feed off of the Schooner Bar, are all single access points. I guess there are very few to none other access point to get to them, no? She is a lovely little ship. You can date her age by all the wooden accents in her public areas. And I bet the cabins are just the same, unless they've updated them in the past few years. From Brilliance to Icon, that is quite the time jump for sure !!
Happy New Year! The Izumi restaurant on the outside deck doesn't have an internal path from memory... however years ago, I dined at Samba Grill on Radiance (which occupies that same space) and the weather turned quite nasty during dinner. We were then lead out via the galley, which connected with the galley in the Windjammer and we found ourselves back down on Deck 11! The cabins look pretty much original (save for some slight updates) and I do have a balcony cabin tour to share soon.
Nope! Icon (and its follow-up Star of the Seas) are going to remain in the highest-revenue areas for RCL for the foreseeable future…that is, pretty much exclusively the Caribbean (or, if not, possibly the occasional European summer season)…Likely your market will see more of the Quantum’s and Freedoms sent your way
Hi John. Unfortunately not - Icon just won’t fit in Australian ports. The newest ships always bounce around the Caribbean and Europe where they can earn the most dollars too!
An odd question in the rooms what type of power ports do they have??? Being an American line curious if they are American power ports which would require adapters or normal ports??? Thanks in advance.
European here, I've sailed from America on Royal Caribbean and the cabins have both plugs. These ships come to Europe for summer but I haven't cruised in Europe :)
For a 5 yo boy do you think this ship is enough fun 🪄🤞👶 for a 14 night cruise from miami to Spain in april? Can children get in the hot water jacuzzi with me if the pool water+wind is cold/crowded? 🕊️👶🤞
Hi there. I think so! There are also kids clubs onboard, so he might enjoy some time in there as well. Outside of that, the ship has a nice pool deck that you can enjoy together and yes, he can use the hot tub with you as well.
It’s looks a great design but decor betrays her age. Does RCI have a plan to give her a refresh? It is the same issue that Carnival had with Spirit, a good basic design with decor that is starting to get a bit daggy.
I would love for RCI to give their Radiance Class ships a refresh. They have fantastic "bones" but you're right, some of the decor is quite dated. I don't know that they would invest a great deal into this class of ship, but there are rumours of a new "Discovery Class" coming, which should be a smaller class of ship designed more for destination cruising such as is the case for the Radiance Class ships.
I feel I'd prefer Brilliance of the new Icon of the Seas. I suppose I'm just not a fan of megaships. Chops Grill seems quite pricey, at $104 pp AUD. You'd hope they serve A5 waygu at that price :) That USD - AUD conversion rate, and needing to keep an eye on it each day, as the rate changes daily, plus gratuities added to food and drink, AFAIK (happy to be corrected), is enough to turn me off RCL sadly.
Brilliance is probably my ideal size when it comes to a ship... though I'm just so curious about Icon, I really need to get onboard one day haha! Service fees/tips are included in the fares when sailing from Australia, so there aren't any extra daily charges to contend with.
One of the best walkthroughs I've watched. My fiancé and I will be onboard this ship for our honeymoon later this year, and we are so excited! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! Enjoy your honeymoon cruise!
As always a great tour Adrian, thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks Paula.
I've done Quantum and Voyager and actively avoided the smaller ships, but this genuinely looked amazing. Amazing walkthrough!
always feels like home when I board a Radiance class ship, loved being on Brilliance in November for Rock the Boat
There's something very special about the Radiance sisters!

Oh good! Glad you enjoyed the video and hope he’s enjoying the cruise.
Will be sailing to Alaska on her June 16th! Thank you for the tour.
Alaska is beautiful and Brilliance is a terrific choice to sail in the region! Enjoy it.
Great tour Adrian, it looks like a lovely ship.
Thanks! She’s really a lovely ship.

My family and several friend are on her this December New Years cruise 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 can’t wait
Awesome!

Odd realizing that it wasn’t TOO long ago that this would be considered perfectly spacious and luxurious…and, yet, now, it’s almost Quaint and Tiny
Haha so true! She’s really lovely.
My son’s been working on this ship since October so great to see his place of work in detail.. thanks!
Glad you could see his workspace 😄

Incredible ship ! very comfortable

Will be boarding her a week from Saturday from Vancouver for the inland Alaska cruise.
Enjoy! Alaska is amazing.
A beautiful class cruise
The Radiance Class ships are very special!
My mom and I went on this cruise ship just last July! We went to Alaska!
She would be the perfect ship to explore Alaska on with all of those big windows!
Thank you for the tour. Do you think there's enough pool for the ship? 🤔
Thanks for watching! I think she could use another pool, honestly.
RCL's smallest ship has a bigger Schooner Bar than Ovation.
haha true!
Looking at going to Alaska on this 😊
You should! Brilliance is almost the perfect ship for Alaska, you can enjoy the spectacular views from anywhere onboard.
Hi, is the icon of the seas coming to Australia?? Thanks John

They have both EU and US style outlets. EU are better suited to AU appliances.
Nothing beats Royal Carribean. Nothing.
Definitely one of the world's best cruise lines!
Wow, where did you learn "convivial"?
Somewhere along my travels lol
I'm so pissed that RC have removed Brilliance from our region! We saw it in Hobart while on Edge...I wanted to be on Brilliance!
She’s a classic beauty. She could use some updates internally, but she has an excellent structure, layout and overall design.

@ thanks :)
Heavens the $$$ charges for their specialty restaurants is very high in comparison to other cruise lines
Especially when you add the 35% exchange rate

@@TheCruiseandTravelGuy so it's just dealing with the exchange rate when spending on board?
