    Ah, looks just like a Jubilee tool changer system with a different interconnect.
    Saw you comments about this being based on E3D's tool changer. Which, is what the Jubilee is as well - it's just they use a remote cable for the locking/unlocking just like you did here.

    • @Alex_Railnolds
      @Alex_Railnolds  3 роки тому +5

      Hi. Yes, you are right. The locking system is like Jubilee tool changer system, just a little changed. This is the second version of the system I used in my printer.
      Now the direct tool changer is on the test. I hope I post the video about it soon.

    Thank you for sharing!!!....Awesome work!!!!...is exactly what I need for my diy 3d printing TC using duet2 wifi and duex5....Hello Alex would it be possible for you to share your config.json file generated from reprapfirmware configuration tool? for this particular setup...will be so much appreciated...thank you in advance

      Hi.
      I didn't use reprapfirmware configuration tool, I made my config by myself. It is too long to post it here.
      Try to see it - drive.google.com/file/d/14X3qBhzq1tQ7BBmX_-xvLP3iPZ-8WWXB/view?usp=share_link - this is my last configuration. Unfortunately, now my machine structure was changed, and now I back to servo tool changer and the configuration for the locking system you can see in this video was lost. You can see another video on my chanel with the last structure of my machine - direct drive toolchanger.

    Круто, круто, Это вы сами всё разработали , будете в серию запускать или открытая разработка ?

    • @Alex_Railnolds
      @Alex_Railnolds  3 роки тому +3

      Спасибо.
      Разработал сам (ну естественно подглядывал в разные проекты, но полностью все проработал самостоятельно). В серию не планировал пускать. Я просто не считаю что тут настолько все нормально проработано, что годится для серии. К тому же модификация продолжается в данный момент. Сейчас обкатывается версия с директ головами.
      В описании есть ссылка, где можно подробнее про конструкцию узнать. Если что - спрашивайте.

      @@Alex_Railnolds hi Alex you are most welcome
      I understand this is a project to be build I see some videos on UA-cam that people have to print lost of part and that’s ok for me I already have a printer to print parts for the build
      What is not clear is does it come with the complete parts besides the ones needed to be print
      The power supply ,the cards for the drivers ,the complete cables sets,the screen ,the step motors or does it have to be ordered separately like the choice for the extruders
      I’m looking to order that printer with the direct drive option

    Is there trouble with the first layer adhesion each time you change tools?

    • @Alex_Railnolds
      @Alex_Railnolds  3 роки тому +1

      Hi. No, I have no problems with adhesion. But first Z offset settings for each head should be adjusted and added to the firmware. Also, the auto bed leveling feature can be used, but I have never used it, no reason to do it.

    • @Alex_Railnolds
      @Alex_Railnolds  3 роки тому +1

      Hi.
      Unfortunately, no. I made several upgrades and did not calculate the price. The most cost is the producing of the aluminium parts by CNC milling. The last price for this was about 20 USD for each part. The other components are common used in 3D printers.
