THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! Video helped me fix the cruise control. I was missing the small rubber piece from the clutch. Excellent video, very articulate and the visuals we equally incredible. Good work!
Just want to say thank you I found out my issue on my 2012 Nissan titan and the control buttons that’s on the stairwell ordered. The part cost me 80 bucks online on eBay.
Had a similar problem with my Nissan Xtrail (Rogue). Had not used the cruise control for more than a year. Switched on but would not engage. Follow your suggested & it works. Thank you
Thanks. I did it. It’s the 2nd one I’ve done. Not bad just takes some patience. First one I did took about 2.5 hours lol. This one took me about 1 hour since I was more confident. Tried to do a video but didn’t have anyone to hold the camera at the time so I gave up on it lol
@@mariocooldude9092 yep I got this one on eBay for about $40 with the orange thread to match. It was from china as well, took about 2 weeks to get here
I changed my clock spring. My cruise light doesn’t come on at all. It was all working till I blew a fuse for the cigarette lighter. Replaced the clock spring and fuse. My horn wouldn’t blow. Replaced the horn relay, nothing worked till I replaced the CS. I’m going to check that brake sensor now, hopefully that’s it. Everything worked till I blew that fuse. It was an air pump that plugged into the cigarette lighter.
That's weird, haven't heard of that one. Would have definitely thought the fuse would have fixed that. If the cruise lights not coming on then it's gotta be electrical not the brake sensor. It may have shorted out your steering wheel cruise control switches. Hard to say, chasing down issues like this can be quite time consuming and expensive
@@GQ37official exactly, now the horn blows and the radio works. Oh I drove it a little while waiting for the clock spring to come in. The horn wouldn’t blow at all, replaced the relay, but when you would turn the wheel and apply the brake when slowing down to turn the horn would blow. Scared me at first I thought I was cutting someone off. I’m gonna check the brake sensor, if IT’s depressed it might be preventing the cruise light from coming on, not sure.
@@mft1284 wow I hope not. Ecu stuff is a whole other rabbit hole. Definitely something electrical causing a chain reaction there. Might want to unplug the batter for 30 mins or so and then Reconnect and see if that shuts off the airbag light.
@@GQ37official it’s cheaper to order a used steering wheel. Air bag light is still on after unplugging the battery for an hour. If it’s not the steering wheel then I’m gonna replace the ECU and MCU. Not sure what else it could be.
I replaced my clock spring , checked my sensors everything was good , cruise control buttons light up but don’t set cruise or nothing , this is so annoying
That is annoying, that's what happened to me. Ended up being one of my pedal senors/switches as shown in the video, a hidden one on the clutch I kept missing and the hole in my pedal just needed to be filled so the switch would close. If all of your switches are opening and closing as they should one of them may just be bad. Just because they open and close doesn't mean they're working. They're about $10 each on ebay, but that's worth trouble shooting.
i have nissan rogue 2017 when i turn on the cruise control it pops up the screen blinking...it keeps blinking even when i set up the speed its not and keeps blinking...could you help me please
More than likely has to do with the cancel switch on your brake pedal. Here’s a video I did with my Infiniti on blinking cruise hope it helps ua-cam.com/video/tTfNRmXL5GU/v-deo.htmlsi=OMTDkxN4HavkdUHv
Just wanted to ask how did you place the replacement plastic? I have an extra rubber stopper from the clutch the same white transparent one you have on your clutch. But my question is which way do I leave the bigger round top of the button facing me or the opposite way?
I used a plastic fastener to plug the hole for a tight fit since my rubber piece was missing. As far as placement as long as it plugs the hole it shouldn't matter, but ideally you want the bigger end on the side that is going to rest on the button / switch
I’m trying to change my cruise control but all these videos are showing me a clutch and brake switch. I have an AUTO,I don’t have a clutch. Do I just buy the brake switch with my cruise control switch?Or just the cruise control? I’m lost lol
yep definitely sounds like clock spring. I have a link in the video description to the one I used when I replaced in on a G35, fx35 and this 350z. Runs about $45 for this aftermarket one but it worked fine.
No, that could be a lot of things, check your battery first, fuel pump, starter, possibly even alternator, but not like to have anything to do with the cruise cancel switches.
Could be the physical switch itself on the steering wheel. You can order those from z1 motor sports, but they are pricey so if you order them you should ask them if they are returnable if that doesn’t end up fixing it.
If the cruise light doesn’t come on at all when you hit the button it may very well be the switch on the steering wheel itself. You can order them from Z1 Motorsports. Will have to remove the steering wheel to install. If for some reason that doesn’t fix it I’m sure they will take it back, but that’s what it sounds like to me.

for some reason my brake switch hole is little bigger then urs will that be a problem for a tune
Are your switches working currently like they’re supposed to? If they are then shouldn’t be a problem using them for the tune.
So if my cruise control doesnt turn on at all it would be the clock spring?
