Just installed purchased kit for our 2002/2003 cross over, Ford E150 on 9/30/2024.
The kit was missing 3 flat washers noted at set up.
Took us about 3 hours which included setup and clean up- two hour job?
    Brand new drill bit broke!
The shock has a rubber boot which rubs a bit on other steering parts -
We used a longer zip tie than provided and found two holes to pull back a p/s line out of rub area.
All in all, a good vid and install.
Results: Smoother with in town driving conditions and definitely better on freeway with less constant corrections.
Tires installed May be part of problem but I installed a damper on my 86 E150, and had similar positive results.
Thanks for the great Vid and product kit.

I ordered the Fox, order processed and arrived in less than a week. Packaged well and all parts there. Installed today, the difference in steering is noticeable right away. Feels less loose. A bit of a hassle with u-clamps fitting over tie rod and into bracket but rest of job went well. All done on creeper in driveway. Thanks Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, I had the same gas steering stabilizer installed in my 2021 E450 motorhome with 10k miles. Now, I get a constant pull to the driver side, even after a front wheel alignment. Any thoughts what could be causing the pull to the left?

The SS is not causing the drift, typically you need more caster on that side, Try that and let us know.

    • @WeldtecDesigns
      @WeldtecDesigns  3 роки тому

      Hey Frank,
Due to FOX being on a global backorder, we decided to collab with Bilstein as another option with how popular our steering stabilizer kit is. We also offer this with our King shock. There are price differences as well. All of the shocks have had really good feedback from customers, but some customers prefer to keep with FOX or want a more affordable option such as Bilstein.

The proper way to locate the holes in the frame member is :
    1) clamp the plate to the frame
    2) use the proper transfer punch to mark the hole locations
    3) drill a pilot hole
4)drill the proper size clearance hole for the bolt.
3/8 drill is not the proper size for 3/8 bolt!

Just grab one from an e450 school bus or ambulance..
The holes are already drilled in your vehicles frame, you will need to tap the proper thread into place.
(Location of pre drilled holes is passenger side, just where the stabilizer is close to the frame.
