We are designed to listen more than we talk since we have two ears and one mouth. I have worked with many introverts and found them to be great thinkers and innovators. Excellent speech well done.
No offense but i study evolutionary biology and i can assure u we aren't designed to listen and talk, our ears are to sense danger and our tongues are to taste food and distinguish edibles from none, we just evolved so much to make more uses for them, thought i would clear this misconception as an introvert myself, have a great day.
As an introvert, this encouraged me to know that being an introvert is okay. We are more observant and we think through our situations than to make hasty decisions because of the rewards and compliments that are given to extroverts. Introverts have unique qualities that makes them a better leader than extroverts. Both are good leaders, but one always have a better way of leadership than the other. Also, since Introverts are more observant they are able to identify the problems, listen to others opinions and their value, and test it towards their solution to the problem. Very inspiring video for Introverts to go against what society says, it is beneficial to be observant, quiet, hypothetical and wise.
this was a great video and i appreciate the time and effort that was put into this. i am indeed an introvert but I have come to realize as I exit my shell that being a leader is a rewarding role for me which I excel in, as a great listener. i do find that putting down extroverts can be a tad bit over the line, to say, in order to bring introverts up. it is understandable that introverts do require solitude, as any great thinker would, but instead we should aim to balance and bring awareness that extroverts and introverts can work together rather than one being more superior. sometimes it can be difficult to be an extrovert in an extrovert environment as an introvert, but the key is to put on a persona as anyone should when they leave the house to preserve their private version of themself and a public version of themself. by the way, if anyone tells you to be who you are make sure that you are not presenting your private self as your public self as there needs to be some barrier because the destruction of one can be more or less detrimental to the other. may Allah guide you, and I wish you all the best.
“Leaders come in different forms” that was beautiful. I am more or an ambivert, tho in school I am more introverted and quieter… my life goal is to be a leader because that’s what I believe my true essence is. Now I know that my introversion is not a weakness. Great talk.
Yes many of us introverts are misunderstood and same for me I personally prefer to listen to but when I do speak I want others to listen but sometimes they don’t, So I just stay quiet.
Extroverts are able to listen to their teams as well. I think generalizing all extroverts as act first, listen later, irresponsible risk takers is equally as bad as generalizing that all introverts are not natural leaders. A good leader drives with their teams best interest in mind. This could be someone who is more extroverted or introverted. In my experience extroverts tend to speak up more frequently and advocate for themselves which is why they are often seen as leaders. Both introverts and extroverts bring a lot to the table, this video would lead you to that one is superior over another and takes zero account into the industry or type of team someone is leading.
I'm the leader of our research, my groupmates already know each other and they're extroverts. So here I am searching how to be a good leader as an introvert
im an introvert and i have been quiet for such a long time but this time i want to be a good speaker but im having a hard time. first the fear of public speaking . i hope one day i will be able to be a good speaker
Active listening combined with reflection and integration of understanding leads to incredible insight beyond the obvious answers. It also shows that someone values you: “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.” 1 Corinthians 13
Gandhi was not fit to be a leader. People need to stop referencing him as a Great Leader and look at what he actually did. What he did socially and emotionally. This video just proves the lack of education the world has been given on the Monster that is Gandhi. Look into who he really was. Educate yourself. He was not a great leader, he got his way by pushing and causing disruption to the people. This video further supports the education system has failed millions of people when it comes to the subject of Gandhi. I hope that future generations self-educated on who Gandhi really was and make waves in the way Gandhi is viewed.
@@lauraaa3049 True. Introverts can speak their minds plenty when they want, but it's tiring to them to keep it up for long periods of time to interact with a big crowd of people.

The problem is introverts tend to not be good speakers so people arnt as inspired by them. (I am saying this as an introvert btw)
Try practicing
They can be good speakers at right time
If you are confident enough about what you are speaking then even introverts can be good speakers
im an introvert and i have been quiet for such a long time but this time i want to be a good speaker but im having a hard time. first the fear of public speaking . i hope one day i will be able to be a good speaker
Could you please correct the audio? It is all audible, but the instability of the sound can be distracting. Otherwise, this is a great talk!
Thank you for motivations

When they say you need to talk to people more to lead. 🤦🏿♀️Introverts usually just need space. They make it look like we're asking for too much.
This is brilliant
great talk- thank you
I'm not an introvert -- I'm just observant and watch what I say. But once I feel comfortable talking out loud, you probably want me to shut up. LOL.
That was super 10/10

No one wants to follow or listen to a quiet person. You HAVE TO speak up and lead by communicating... that is just how the world works.
The thing is introvert doesn't always equal to quiet
