@@TuffMelon The devs are planning a complete ammo-overhaul soon, also a new map and boss by the end of the year. Custom ammo is gonna be sooner than later tho
real problem with this game is how good the community is at it.

11:01 ya know that when topping off the Mosin you always lose 1 round, so that reload cost you a round for no benefit.

I find it can be very inconsistent sometimes, which is frustrating- but it's still fun enough to continue playing day after day. So overall, I agree

Top video Drew and team. Loved it, but it also hit me hard. Me and my cousin used to have LAN nights with our best buddy, ( for the last 25 years+). But he died last year aged 49. They were the best nights of my life. Maybe only once a year or sometimes 6 times a year, we would meet at his house in the afternoon and get our PC's set up, then play till about 4 AM, with plenty of beer and Jack Daniels, till we fell off our chairs. Cant believe we will not do that any more. Damn. Maybe that's why I enjoy watching you and your friends play so much. Keep it up dude. Gotta go, theres a tear in my eye.
Hey, drewski! FYI a couple melees in to the swarm will knock them out. This works with hives too, but she’ll create another swarm pretty quick so try and kill her or get out of range

When Arma 3 players play Hunt Showdown their tactical genius shows
I found the same thing when I started playing.
I think it's something about being able to memorize maps quickly and having a good idea of the distance of engagement.

I love Drewski and I love Hunt: Showdown.
But seeing him play it makes me jealous that I'm so bad at the game.
to be fair most of these are highlights
if you have more than 100 hours you could destroy him, they make so many mistakes its a miracle that they dont get punished

@@robbo8309 Well if you have good enough map knowledge you should try to negate your aim impairment with good placement and sneakyness.

This game is one of the most draining experiences you'll ever have playing a game. The intensity hits 11 easy and once it does, it rarely goes back down. You'll scream and rage over the constant fails as you're sniped or shot in the back, losing all your gear you didn't have a chance to use. Yet you keep going. Why? You do it for that 1 match were everything goes right, you claim both bounties, drop the entire serve and leave with dozens of zombie kills to boost your character. That moment of glory makes all of the pain and frustration worth it so you play again. A Brutal cycle but one of the best I've ever played.
The audio in Hunt is phenomenal... A genuinely terrifying and grotesque soundscape to say the least lol. Easily the best in-game sound design ive ever heard. Imagine Tarkov built with Crytek's audio team tho, that'd be some wild shit right there.
tarkov already has a very decent soundscape and audio design. I couldn't complain
@@AgentCookie1432 Its decent, definitely not horrible but imo it doesnt compared to the level of intricacy that the team over at Crytek has developed for Hunt.
This game can be hard to learn because it seems like a stealth game with all the scary enemies and focus on noise, but it is really a game about facing your fear. If I was to give one major tip to new players it would be do not be afraid to make noise. By crouch walking everywhere you make it much easier to headshot you but by running you become a much harder shot for their slow cowboygun. Also disposing of dogs/horses/crows and such is often louder than just running past. It is better to be loud and in a good position than quiet in a bad one so just keep on heading to the next building/clue. Just run through the trees when possible from clue to clue and extract with the bounty before the other players have clue #3. If you do find a player don't be afraid to take the shot. Every shot you don't take is a miss. Out of ammo from spamming? Charge them. They will panic just like you do when you see them charge. Also frag bombs are your friend. If you save them they more often than not get buried with you so don't clear the house with a peacemaker. The rest is stab the grunts, shoot the hives, bludgeon the immolators, snipe the hellhounds, avoid the meatheads, frag the buildings, burn the bosses, shotgun the players and boom you won. This game seems scary but after you learn what everything is it's not so bad.
Oh, and a fully charged sledgehammer or axe will kill an immolator before it can catch on fire

Been hesitant to pick up this game but i pulled the trigger last night and i'm glad i did. I immediately felt in tune with the pacing and slower deliberate gunplay.

Hunt is so satisfying its like if EFT was just scav runs.
Started playing this in early access and I always come back to it. 500 hours in and its definitely
the best FPS out right now 100%. The game pace is slow (its a game of patience, teamwork and tactics) but the gunfights and payoff are amazing.

The problem for me is that on Xbox it takes literally like 5 mins to load into a match, and if you die right away you have to go through all the loading again. It’s almost unbearable

Hunt is a great game the need more content regularly and more players and it would be even better. It's just not a easy content game sometimes when people just camp all game

Why do you not have a reticle/crosshair?
If you do you will see a small indicator when you hit things even with bombs/traps etc that you have equipped (not bear traps).
Also pretty sure you know this but be more careful with reloading mosin if you don't have bullet grubber since you lose a bullet each time is it isn't empty(and if you load 5/full magazine you use a clip making it way faster) and that the sawnoff shotgun have VERY short range.
(Also the pistol you use in last clip uses medium ammo)
You can melee the hive bombs to get them off easier, it's like 2 swings or something, I forget
3 light attacks, 1 attack with a world melee/b lance
