I was probably around 9 or 10 when I watched it. I "borrowed" the VHS, along with Heavy Metal from my youngest uncle when he was still living at my grandparent's house. Agreeing with the previous comment, the only truly disturbing part was the animal deaths, especially the tortoise.
This move is the first found footage move, and looked so real that a judge made the film makers bring the actors in to court so he could see if they were all still alive.
Damn I remember when you hit 50k and did A Serbian Film. It’s amazing to see how much you’ve grown in past year. Your quiet, dry sense of humor is a nice change of pace compared to the hyperbolic extremes of most stuff on UA-cam. Keep up the good work!
I remember coming across your channel when your The Human Centipede videos were starting to gain exposure, and you couldn't have had more than 15K subs at the time, but even back then I knew you were gonna blow up because your videos have always been quality! Congrats on 100K and here's to many more subs for the future!
I saw this as a kid and thought it was real. Being a kid in Brazil and having no concept of distance, I thought the Amazon was super close and didn't want to leave the house for a while. I wonder if this is why I have social anxiety now? Lol. Congrats on the 100k
You should definitely cover "The Little Girl Down The Lane". Absolutely amazing movie. Picture Annie but Annie pretends that her father is alive and makes "special tea" for her "friends."
This is the one channel I have literally been waiting to hit 100k+. Very happy for you that your hard work has been rewarded! My BF will randomly ask me to put on a vid from “that one UA-camr you watch, the funny glasses guy.” Long overdue dude.
Hey member! Love your videos!!! But would you please review “ cannibal of rotenburg? Based of of the German killer armine meiwes? I read the book, but heard the movie is sick!!!
This movie has come to mean so much to a lot of people. It's an iconic horror film for its realism. It spawned found footage. It changed how films were rated and reviewed. The crazy part is that it was a miserable project. The crew and cast were abused, the extras were repeatedly put in mortal danger, the filming conditions were brutal, and then there's the director insisting on killing animals for real(a habit he continued in Cannibal Ferox). For all it is talked about, the movie is known for its controversy and not much else. It has become a "Dare you to watch." film more than anything else.
Good review. I attended a horror film festival with a special view of the movie with the director. He gave us quite a lot of stories. The animals killed in the movie were the actual food the villagers were to eat that day. It was an arrangement between them so he could get some good shoots. He also said that he kept in contact with some of the natives on the movie from Brazil.
This review was a breeze compared to a Serbian Film. I couldn’t even make it halfway through that review. The REVIEW. I don’t know how you do it Newbee, but I love you!
Vinnie and Cat Time got me through this....and I think it needs to be said, "Tom....dude. I hope you got the feeling back in your hands." (Congrats on all the subs....but it should be no surprise. You're awesome! Good job on the review...can't wait to see what you've got up your sleeve next! )
Loving to see this channel grow. I enjoy these movie reviews so much, youre such a sympathic and legit funny guy and it's always a blast watching. I had a lot of rough stuff going on and watching these videos really helped me getting through it all. So thanks for that. Wishing you and your sweet cats a great week, stay save and healthy.
Been a few months since iv seen a upload! So happy to be Back watching! Congrats on 100k! Side note. This is 1 of my top 5 favorite horror movie soundtracks.
omg I loved your review, I haven’t watched your channel before, I’m more of a ‘reaction’ viewer, but this popped up on my feed and as I own this movie myself I was interested in your opinion..absolutely spot on as far as I’m concerned, and the green puppet...FCKN hysterical, I laughed so much I had to pause to visit the little ladies room😂😂 can say I’m definitely a fan and will be checking out more of your clips✋✋
Congratulations on reaching 100,000 subscribers (very surprised that you don't have more). Wonderful video review and very funny. Never did I think that a puppet could actually look uncomfortable having to read cue cards. And one of the things that made this even more hilarious, is that right in the middle of you getting to the part of the movie where the tribe is literally devouring the film crew, You Tube actually cut in with an ad for Boston Market where the audio was spouting in a deep voice, "Mmm, meat and potatoes. That's good.", and then it cut back into the continued review of the film. Again very funny review and I am looking forward to your next one.
I could never watch the film it's too much. Absolutely loved this review tho! Congrats on 100k your channel is criminally undersubscribed. 5🐝s as always!
An excellent art form, hard to appreciate but well worth your time if you can handle it. The scenes where the Violine music is playing generates some of the weirdest emotions in me
I actually watched this movie a few days ago, because I saw someone mention it and said, that the murder scenes looked so real, that the producer was arrested for murder, until he could prove that the actors were still alive. This is partly true, but he was also arrested for animal cruelty, due to all the scenes involving animal being real. I was not prepared for that.. As a gore fan, I was fascinated by how real the human executions looked, especially for it's time. But I did not enjoy the ones with animals.. that was just cruel and unnecessary, and I hated it. (From IMDB. This also explains why people thought the footage was real) 'A final subtitle at the end of the film states "Projectionist John K. Kirov was given a two-month suspended jail sentence and fined $10,000 for illegal appropriation of film material. We know that he received $250,000 for that same footage". The line (keeping with the fake documentary nature of the movie) "explains" the viewers how could the movie exist if the projectionist character was ordered to burn the reels.'
I appreciate this video because I will never, not in a million years watch this movie, but this at least satiates my curiosity
It's an absolutely shit movie that's needlessly graphic purely for shock value. You're not missing anything at all, I can assure you.

@@affliction1979 and the coatimundi they sliced open. like, what actors would agree to that shit?
I prefer The Green Inferno myself. Also - beasting through this with canned tuna, heh
@@someguy34hnt the green inferno wouldnt exist without cannibal holocaust and cannibal ferox
This move is the first found footage move, and looked so real that a judge made the film makers bring the actors in to court so he could see if they were all still alive.
It's also internally-consistent logic, unlike most found footage movies.
DAMN 😮😮😮
fun fact: the film crew in the film actually only visited detroit
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Lol
This comment is pure gold
And it wasn't a turtle they ate - Detroit rats have armored up...
As someone who lives near Detroit, I can confirm this.
the "he needs jesus" cat is my favourite.

This is one of the few channels where the ads in the middle of the video are a blessing
Vinnie's Vivid Visuals just made Saturday super. 😂😂😂
And congrats on 100k! 🥳
i HATE horror movies. the only reason i watch these videos is to watch you. you are so comforting to me for some reason.
That play button really ties the room together. Congratulations. Your videos are always class! Thanks
Even with you making this advertiser friendly, it was still enough to turn my stomach. Thanks for the awesome review!!! Love your content!!!
