Many Pokemon Card collectors travel to Japan to boost their collection, but almost all of them overlook the hidden gem that is Osu, Nagoya!
Between Tokyo and Osaka lies a city rich in culture and filled with card stores, stocking everything from Base Set and Vending Series through to NEO, ADV, Diamond Pearl Platinum and Black and White. Not to mention incredible finds from short printed sets HeartGold and SoulSilver, or the stunning range of Modern cards from the Sword and Shield, and Scarlet and Violet eras - those Special Illustration Rares truly are breathtaking.
With over 25 card stores all densely located within walking distance of each other, Osu, Nagoya is a must visit for Pokemon Card collectors; the perfect destination for building your Artist binders, or even kick-starting your sealed Booster Box collection - having you think twice about opening it or keeping it sealed!
If a store wasn't in the video, it was likely cut due to the no filming rule from some stores - thanks for understanding!
I live stream all week over at Twitch - follow me already!

Pointing out errors, showing off and identifying smaller niche cards properly, showing appreciation towards goated illustrators? Quite literally BEING IN JAPAN to film it all? This video’s amazing man, can’t give you enough kudos for the details, editing, and effort.
Wow I had no idea there was an error base set japanese charizard with the details from Machamp! Now I need to go look over the charizards i've sent to PSA and see if I inadvertently had any errors
LOL i hope not for your sake. you'll always learn something new here Coop, thanks for watching legend 🫡
WOOOOO ITS COOP🎉🎉🎉
It actually predates the first Japanese zard, the Kairiki zard is often seen in the same way as the English Shadowless First Edition Zard, as it lacks a rarity symbol, further boosting it's rarity.
Hey JLUV,
Thanks so much for another great and REAL video. We share a love for vintage cards and it's so refreshing to see someone on UA-cam who cares about the actual cards. I'm going to Nagoya in a few months and was hoping to get some advice. At Clove Base, what is a polite way to ask in Japanese if I may see their vintage bulk? I'm about a N5-N4 level. Also, if I'm shopping for awhile and want to see multiple cards, is it impolite to ask them repeatedly to open the display cases? Thanks so much!
hey daisuki, thanks so much for helping support the channel! really appreciate it.
awesome to find more collectors vibing off the older overlooked cards :) your best bet is a simple phrase; すみませんですけどバルクカードがありますか?you can interchange バルクカード with any other terms specific to what you're looking for; 旧裏 for old backs, or ADV/DPPt/BW for specific gens. your mileage may very depending on the store but i'm sure with at least N4 knowledge like you've got, you should be able to make it work - at worst, you can rely on Google Translate!
as for looking through multiple cabinets, not at all - just try to batch your cabinet search. so when you're ready to look at all the cards in one specific cabinet, do it all at once instead of 1 by 1. saves everybody time. hope that helps, just reach out if you need any more help, and have fun!
@@okJLUV Wow, thanks so much for the detailed and helpful answer! ありがとう ございました!
@@daisukiKonbini いいよ😁あけましておめでとう!
Definitely worth the wait, great video!! That Psyduck card at the end is a favourite for sure
it's the $5 cards that make it all worth it haha. thanks legend!!
The production value behind these videos is amazing. Followed your route all the way through Nippombashi, Osaka. The Google Map links really helped out. Thank you, and keep 'em coming, JLUV!
eyyy glad it helped!! thank you so much!!
Brother. I am obsessed with these Japan videos. It was so cool getting to see all of these shops and getting a first-hand look at what they carry. So much nostalgia. So much history. So much Full Art Trainer Collectors Club. 🙏💜
i wanted to make it feel like you were there with me! :D
@okJLUV IT WAS A DREAM COME TRUE
hope you come to Japan and our city to buy Pokemon cards. Please be respectful and don't film all time to intrude others. We are humble society and dislike troublemakers
@@herohour6496 yes, will definitely be respectful. i asked for permission to film in these stores. about 80% of stores were OK with filming. the other 20% i did not film in
Great tour of the card shops in Nagoya, high quality production and a good moving pace when showing items !
Some videos just move around too fast and give me a headache, glad I came across this.
ey glad you enjoyed it! yeah i prefer the slower pace too, get to soak it all in :)
Great to see you enjoy card shops in Nagoya, I live very close to a lot of those shops. Cheers!
Greatly appreciated the amount of detail you go into sharing the information and location of these stores. Something that is almost never provided by other content creators. +1
Delivering another production value gem, good lad
Legitimately one of the coolest series I've ever watched on youtube jluv, i hope there's more in store I love watching these!
you make me blush! thanks boss :D
seeing that dream league promo price hits even more since i bought a box of dream league when it come out from the pokemon centre and didnt get it 😭😭 will have to fork over the money for it when i visit japan next week. Awesome video, your card shop videos have been really helpful for my brother and i to work out where to go in japan, and the work you put into them is awesome :D
Added to the playlist for my eventual trip, thanks mate 🙂
i gotchu
@okJLUV some absolute dream stores with all that HGSS stuff!
Recently got back into collecting and your channel has really shaped how I approach collecting and card appreciation. Thanks for what you do!
thank you for watching 😭🙏🏼
The psi freeze sound bite was a nice touch lol. Love seeing (or hearing) earthbound Easter eggs lol
YOOOO I’m so glad somebody finally noticed and commented about those haha, they’re my fave sound bites to use
Really appreciate all the type you put into these videos. Some great content
cheers mate, glad you've been enjoying em!
Huge fan of your card stores videos mate, really appreciate the hard work especially for including the store names and address. Can't wait to check these stores out next April when I'm in Nagoya! Cheers
thank you so much!! glad the series has been a vibe for ya. if you need anything while you’re in Japan just LMK!
This video is a piece of art! There is so much going on and I appreciate all the effort you put into making this!
i'm glad you enjoyed it so much bro :)
Great video, wish I had that kind of ressources during my trip to Japan in 2023. I only visited Tokyo and Kyoto and their surounding, but now knowing that Osaka and Nagoya have crazy store for singles makes me want to visit the country back in some time to hunt for my goals !
It's so interesting how the experience varies so much depending on the time and what you're looking for, for me the best shop was Bee, with a huge collection of non-holo VS cards and very cheap price (mostly due to condition, but i'm fine with it). The most crazy thing was that they asked me if I wanted to negociate, and offered me a 15% discount on the whole order, which was unheard of in Japan for me 😳
now that is cool. bee in general have always been good whenever i've visited, always an awesome vintage range!!
I'm going to Japan this week and this video is perfect
What an amazing vid!
Didn't know Nagoya has a lot of stores selling Pokemon cards. Now I wanna plan my trip there! Especially when I saw a lot of Tyranitars on the shelves
Thanks so much for videos like these. My fiancé and I just visited Japan and used your videos as references of stores to check out in Tokyo and Osaka. Thank you 🙏
thank you for watching!! :D so glad the Osaka video helped you out!!
👏Fantastic work mate, really enjoyed this video
🎄Buon Natale e Felice Anno Nuovo Amigo 🎉
buon natale my friend! thank you for always supporting the channel you absolute legend
Absolutely loving these videos, going to Japan in October next year.
Just got back from Nagoya! MAN the amount of money i spent was INSANE.
Love this video JLUV!
very fun city, don't worry i did the same hahaha
You're right....Nagoya has the best card shops in Japan. Bought so much from there.
its so funny i remember picking up the southern islands postcard collection with togepi for legit 50 cents in like 2008, i miss that card shop they just had a huge bucket of stuff that was all 50 cents and another bucket for stuff that was 5 bucks it was such a magical place to go as a kid
Thanks for highlighting Nagoya! I wish i was able to spend more than 1/2 day hunting cards, but the city itself is great too!
on the other side - i wish i'd had more time to explore Nagoya! was only there for 2 very short days, have to properly explore it next time
This is a great video! Thank you so much here kislux for making my budget look more reasonable.
Editing here is chefs kiss.
love these type of videos mate. hope the fam is well and youre crushing being a dad
thanks legend, your triplet beat are still sitting here btw!! hope you had a good christmas :D
Hey! Great video! When were you there/when was this filmed?
Thank you Jluv! Hope to visit Japan someday and use your helpful guides! ❤
one day!! and thank you my friend for always watching and supporting the channel :) enjoy the holiday break!!
@@okJLUV Thank you! You too! :)
Excellent video, JLUV! I do miss your Japanese artist videos where you highlight awesome art/cards and go over the styles and what the names mean.
they will return! the biggest hurdle these days is just time, i'm still largely editing on my own (i have some help these days with Blendy), but haven't really reached a full time commitment to YT - so it's just about fitting everything in. though i do want to get back into that series very soon!!
Great video :) Surely this is *the* go-to guide now. Would love to visit one day!
@@vaultxhq absolute legends 🫡 wait till you see my food recs
Incredible video, respect my friend
Yeah definitely keep using the earthbound sound bites lol I love it
I wish I had gone to more card shops when I was in Japan last year.
I'm not into CCG but like these videos for the shopping. You should try shops in smaller towns. These prices seem crazy
noted!
Another great, very high-effort video. nice to get coverage on places that don't get as much attention!
Not nice
@ …no?
0:27 Man, if only those Legends poster could be purchased somewhere... I'd be willing to trade a kidney for them 😂
trust me i tried haha
Bro these videos are awesome 💪🏼😉👊🏼🔥🇬🇧🏴
thanks DEZZIE!!!
Thank you for the video, I am heading to Japan in a few months time, I was wondering what is the best site to check for up to date Japanese prices. Especially on the phone when I am in the store
If only I followed pokemon throughout its entire existence. I stopped with pokemon cards because they get expensive.
But now I’m sad I could of had so many cool cards rare or not. And I was in Japan too walking through these stores and said “Meh, it’s kinda cool seeing all of this.”
Arrive in Nagoya tmrw this is perfect timing bless up ❤

Cool! When was this when you were there?
Amazing video, thanks! Will check them out!
thanks for watching !!
I like the huge cut out boards in magi
Toreca Camp and Dice Roll are scheduled to be merged next year.
the staff who were in charge of Pokemon cards at Dice Roll will also be transferred to the new store.
i heard - kinda crazy, that store is going to be stacked!
Are you still in Nagoya? Thanks for the video!! The new Toreca Camp store is crazy. About twice the size!
nope not in Nagoya currently!! hopefully back next year :)
Insane vid as always jluv! Do you have any suggestions for the best online sites to order from? I have a house in Japan so ordering to there isn’t an issue, thanks!
thanks Andrew! my last video briefly covered buying singles and boxes from japan, otherwise you can DM me and i can help ya out there.
Great shop, so could we take home the box sealed? Or they just rip the seal on the spot?
it depends on the store, many of the stores in this video sell with the seal on
Hello bro, could you rating the card stores in Ikebukuro just like in this video? I'm going to Tokyo next month and hope to know the best card shop I could find. Thanks 😁
"prices high" as it shows 180 yen pikachu full art 😂
All those Web series and VS I need, after Neo and BSP it's time to go all in!
yep it's hard to hold back when you see them all laid out like that lmao
@okJLUV for sure, will be visiting friends in June so should see a few cities and have time to buy some cards 😁
Hey JLUV, aside from the 193 store in Osu, are there any places listed in the video that are accepting purchasing from foreigners? Would like to sell my cards to earn some buck back. Would like to ask the same question for the places in Osaka as well. Thank you again for the informative video!
Brother I live for this please the next one soon
i'm grinding as fast as i can king :D
I spy with my little eye, 8 timed stamps featuring Zapdos!
Hey ! I would like to know if those stores were also selling some One Piece TCG ? Thanks keep up the good work !
yeah, almost all stores were selling one piece TCG too, very popular in Japan atm. thanks for watching!
Hi there, plan to go Osaka Kyoto and tokyo soon and want to ask if only can go one or two store that u mention due to lacking of time which one will u recommend , is it been honpo that u mention last or magi or any store i have miss thanks
osaka: clove, bee honten, dragonstar L6
tokyo: otachu L8 in akihabara
@ thanks
When was this filmed? Recently? Looks cold but don’t see any of Supercharged or Terestal
Love your videos, please can you explain to me what does the (example) 03¥ 8000 mean? Ik that 8000 are japanese money, but what is that 03? Thanks:D
could just be a store code for their system!
But what about the play space and event schedules? Those are the most important aspects of a card shop.
GREAT VIDEO
AYE thank you mashu
Any of these stores have a site? To shop online?
こんなに日本のショップを開拓されてることに驚きました😨
こりゃ古いカード好きな日本人としてはなかなか恐ろしいな🫠🫠
Sui mentioned, i can give the video a like now. 21:43
i always got you
May I ask what the Japanese for "Do you have any bulk?" would be? Somehow feel like「バルク」is not the right term :')
Did you pick up the stamp gym luxray at torcea camp? 12:27?
nah not this time round!
amazing.
This is actual entertainment.
i aim to please
Does anyone know what song is playing at the end of the video?
Be Where U Are - Ledorean
@okJLUV ty ty!
Hello, out of curiosity, what’s a artist binder?
it's a specific type of binder some collectors build with cards only drawn by 1 particular artist. i have a Kouki Saitou, Kagemaru Himeno and Tomokazu Komiya binder for example, just a few!
Yeah, bloody oath, today's a good day. I always love these vids!
need the song at the beginning... pla
all of it actually
the moment u said komiya i hit the sub bottom lets gooo
komiya fans know
hello your discord link doesn’t work anymore :(
should be fixed!! discord.gg/okjluv
I wonder, if I could only visit 1, should I go to Osaka or Nagoya. =/
Nagoya has more hidden gems. Osaka seems to be dried out at the moment
I live in Japan and buy packs and sell singles. Prices that are "good" are bought up too quickly. We rather up prices so they stay in store longer. Many youtubers from all over West come and buy all stock. It's really not fun if stock is none. That's why we up prices and protect us products.
Bruh, says Southern Islands is "sealed" plainly sy "開封済み” on the front, shits opened bro still a good price, but a sealed set is 2x+ what you paid
Great video though, still wont get me to ignore Legoland in Nagoya, gotta ride me the Lego Teacups.
i can already see the expose vid titles now...listen i was rushing OK give us a spell!!
@@okJLUV unacceptable, we require your rarest card to be given to chat in next stream, k thx bai! XD
😡 Jluv, Nagoya is a secret! Now so many tourists visiting and prices are up. F U, but keep up the good work 😅
secrets out david!! hehe glad you enjoyed :D
@ it’s all good. Gotta go back to my old spot instead.
Pokemon? More like OKmon. Amiright.
how has nobody ever thought of this before
I wish the bassline wasn't in this video. It's distracting
@@leeking9404 which part of the vid? good feedback, sorry it was distracting for you
Because of this video you are responsible for flooding the American market with Japanese card crashing the Pokémon hobby in the process in a near future. This is going to create a gigantic bubble too. Well done ! Japanese card sellers are going to be happy!
@@supergrafxengine4620 i just like showing people how to get cool pokemon cards relax big fella
Listen pal if you could donate a "Touch Change Generation" card for my Komiya collection as an act of charity I would be ever so grateful, it's looking like I can never afford it nor find a proxy
bruh i missed 1 for about $250 last week and im still pissed about it
