yikes, obnoxious table. Great job keeping a cool head
props to uploading so frequently
OJ so toxic and such a bad player overall, I’ve played them before. Think you misplaced overall though. As 3rd you should take 4/5/11 over 6/9/3 imo. Or if taking 6/9/3 you definitely have to take the other 6/3/11.
The idea of you talk to much is so stupid it’s a social game and then also the hurry up is also stupid because you need to think
@@charliecrabtree283 its a low level lobby. They dont play to win they play to click bottons.
This table was really annoying. Looking forward to the tournament games
So glad to see you back, found your channel a month ago, and became sad when I saw you quiting without telling anybudy. So I am so glad to see you back, didn't expect that.
I agree with the postmortem. Surprisingly the sheep was more tradeable than brick on this board. Choosing the double brick spot was a mistake. You were too amused by Black's imaginative placing, and lost the plot.
Even with an early monopoly, and subsequently with an early city, you would still be in a bad position. The only thing in the deck that could save you was an early road building card.
Todays my b-day and just woke up to a new post to start my day ❤
From 17:00 onwards, you're never saving up enough ore to get a city (yet alone two) when you have to 3:1 for each ore and there are still two monos left on a high wheat board.
IMO the only feasible win con was to backdoor road+army plus one more settle, which was very doable when the longest road is just 4 and you have two roads in hand plus minimum three full cycles before black can beat you on army if he both has a knight and draws two more on his next two pulls. If you place the two roads in your hand up from the 6-3-11 then you eliminate black from LR contention and still have 3 separate ways you can extend - towards your other settle, or either way around the desert tile - which means it would be very difficult for the rest of the board to coordinate to plow you (and judging by their attitudes, I doubt they would have that coordination in them anyway). From 17:00 on you easily had enough production to make as many roads as anyone else except maybe black, and making a single additional settle on top of that is a lot easier than multiple cities, especially given what resources you produced. My $0.02.
Yep this is about half of tables you play at on colonist. People hiding behind a screen have all the courage in the world
I loved the video. Perhaps the 6 wool, 11 wool and 3 brick would be ok but I really enjoyed your analysis in the end! Best Regards from Portugal!
3-6-11 is the starting pick, as it 1 locks out the sheep, and you are a road away from sheep port. Given that your roads are dictated by the 3's it was going to be super slow not matter what. with such a low ore board from the jump, you have to think how can i best use the ports. I think settling on the 6 sheep 3:1 is better long term as the 6 then becomes a free card, but it does put more pressure on that 6. but once you committed to going around the 3, building on 8-3 should have been the next step. Orj messed up on placements and should have pointed right not left, then focus on wood port. blue should point left with 2nd placement, as the need a touch more sheep, and the come back for the 4-8
Hey Dylan! Love seeing you back and excited to see you hone in again!
I wanted to share my feedback, this coming from a huge fan of your previous work. Please don't take it as negative criticism, i really want you to thrive in your channel and community!
1. Your Intro is Missing!
Back in the day, on your road to number 1, i was really drawn in by your intro. It made me excited to see what was in store for the video and I think your current uploads have been lacking because this is missing. A routine catch phrase or intro video would bring this structure to your videos.
2. Don't forget your double play opportunities!
At 21:15 in your video, you had just procured your largest army with back-up knight and had potential to line yourself up for a follow-up longest road by trading sheep away for 2 brick. It would have shown the table your intentions and maybe they would have responded, but at this lower level I think it would have worked out perfectly. ua-cam.com/video/NPExd3wiGvw/v-deo.html
3. Give yourself more credit
You have a great logical breakdown of the game, and I can see you value your assessments. From time to time, you drop phrases that are questioning yourself when I know you have already calculated odd percentages. Don't doubt your logic, and show your fans that you can consistently and decisively take risks. IE) "Im not sure if that was the best move" vs. "I am 40% sure that this will work out, its a risk Im willing to take"
Again, love your videos and I will be watching regardless. I am truly happy for your personal growth you have shared. Have a great night friend.
Also - FYI (sorry for this being so long) I am unsure of your beliefs or your specific situations, but I will be praying for you to be successful and to have a fulfilled life.
Very valuable. I love the feedback. Thank you for caring enough about me to write this. Received
Order of settlement. Think your first is the 6 3:1. Leaves you open to go 38 and then extend to 8.
Agree with second placement taking 611 right away. Black could easily get 611 and break roads and force distance to sheep port anyway.
9:50 you could have played an aggressive knight and ask for a sheep since there was no wood on the board. Would have given you road settle on the 8-3
Been watching you for a while and to see myself play against you is insane:) im black btw
I love to see your analysis it really helps me understand how to improve. I think you need to be ok playing a little slower like going to the 8 3. the 8 was never blocked and it helps with brick processing. great game tho.
Black deserved to win, if anything he was unlucky not to win sooner
I think the sheep port was bait -- but getting a 3/1 port early helps process all your sheep immediately. So take that first and only go for the sheep port or 3/8 wood if you hit a RB, Otherwise quad down on both 6 sheeps and play classic ows. If you are luck you'd hit the monos instead of black
All those knights were so unlucky, rip
0:16 lol I would go on the 59 12 as second as well.
3 wood was the worst option. If you settle the 6 sheep every 6 beecomes a free card at least and then go full steam ahead sheep port.
That's what I call crying your way to the win.
betting on 3s over 6s is interesting
He’s just valuing wood over sheep
🔥
oj is a speed runner I guess!
Orange was giving huge 3rd worlder vibes, how are you gonna get annoyed at people in a strategy game taking the time the game allows
hes not playing to win, he is playing to press bottons.
we even have such people in 5d chess.
yeah! he played like a true brazillian or something like that! heheheh
@@feliperafaelwanner6158 as someone who has played a lot of dota, yea, i had so many south americans on my team that would act like this and it was exactly who i had in mind when i made that post
why didn't you use your RB to go to 8 wood you would get a point. next orbit you would have won with the VP before black
no settles left
I retired at age 53, so I am in my early 60s. Many of them resisted me because they couldn't understand the idea of not working if it wasn't necessary. I considered the phases of my life. I worked very hard to achieve what I have now, but in my last years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses." In my instance, I departed the nation after retiring and currently reside in Latin America. It made it possible for me to appreciate my new surroundings while escaping all the bad things that were going on in America. Nobody that I know of regrets retiring has yet to come to me.
Nice way to retire. For me, I believe retirees who struggle to meet their basic needs are the ones who could not accumulate enough money during their active years to meet their needs. Retirement choices determine a lot of things. My wife and I both spent same number of years in the civil service, she invested through a wealth manager and myself through the 401k. We both still earning after our retirement fund has grown way more than it would have with just the 401(k). Haha.
It's unfortunate most people don't have such information. I don't really blame people who panic. Lack of information can be a big hurdle. I've been making more than a million dollars by just investing through an advisor, and I don't have to do much work. Doesn't matter if the economy is misbehaving; great wealth managers will always make returns.
I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation.
I definitely share your sentiment about these firms. Finding financial advisors like *Layan Talia Chokr* who can assist you shape your portfolio would be a very creative option. There will be difficult times ahead, and prudent personal money management will be essential to navigating them.
Thank you for this Pointer. It was easy to find your handler, She seems very proficient and flexible. I booked a call session with her.
I liked the 5810 to the wood port.
You will likely get 6311 (double sheep) to the sheep port on the way back. Your setup is too slow imo since you have no ore and only the 3 wood. Commenting straight after the placements here. Inital placements remain the weakest part of your game.
omg those toxic over tilted le normies tf why they playin ranked's
ranked is a cesspool. Honestly more entertaining to watch people play on UA-cam instead of losing brain cells there
