I have this tablet, I bought it with a broken screen. I'm too lazy to fix it and do all that. the screen is almost more expensive than another one that works well

why I do not get the super su instal option, when I hit system my tablet will restart and nothing happens, someone help me please
+Camelia Cean When clicking "System" did you swipe or click the "Do not install" Button? You was supposed to just swipe then install Super Su.
If you are unable to do this then I would suggest you watch the video again and follow closer and maybe pause the video at certain points while you wait for your tablet.
Another option would be that if your tablet is capable of this rooting method.

+FalloutYT Yeah, there's always a risk. But if the steps are followed correctly it minimises the risk. The biggest factor is user error and faulty cables imo.

Nice tuto Bro! Thx! In the Odin, uncheck 'Auto Reboot' Option, it will be much easier to Press Pwr+VolUp+Home button after Odin processed, with a lot of time to do it :)

I have no idea buddy. Only thing I can suggest is: install the Samsung drivers, reboot your computer and try again following the steps. Merry Christmas 🎄

Is the 6.0.1 update available for the tab 4? Because I'm getting it tomorrow and I love the update I've also rooted my s6 edge 6.0.1, so just wondering if it'll still work for it or not c:
+ViscidHelix I'm NOT 100% sure but I'm pretty sure that Lollipop was the last update, you may however be able to find a custom firmware/kernel soon to flash it but compatibility maybe an issue. Go over to XDADevelopers and search the device. There are loads of guides for pretty much anything there :)
The same happened to me as happened to Mr.EpicBoy. When it restarts I could´n see the swipe screen. An error screen appears showing that there was a boot error and enters into Odin again, repeatedly. Please, help me!
+Leandro Antônio After trying to do it over again on my tab I've finally got it to replicate, sorry it took a while but from what I found it only reboots without the swipe screen when I already have Super Su installed. What you could do is:
1. If Super Su isn't installed and it isn't on your app screen then it maybe hidden.
2. Install Super Su from the Google Play store.
This should now work for you!
If for some reason it doesn't then a factory data reset/wipe maybe needed as there may be corrupted files or incomplete setups present on your device. One wiped follow the guide and it should be set from there!

On 0:30 I had went to that screen and pressed continue but i restarted my tablet afterwards and now its saying that my device is unauthorized when i go to try to update it. Do you have a solution to my problem.
Check USB debugging is enabled that would be your main concern. Also revoke all permissions and when connecting to your device make sure to accept it on your phone. Thanks for the comment.

How to update kitkat to lollipop 5.1 sm-t230nu rooted?
I have rooted my friend's tab 4 SM-T330NU 5.1.1 and always ended up with issues so I always ended up reverting back to non-rooted stock. Almost as if the WIFI version wasn't meant for the lollipop upgrade. Mine is Kitkat AND always was, mine is the (SM-T230NU) kitkat WIFI no LTE, ever had issues with mine as far as granting permissions, installing ROMS etc. I came across this article
Although I think it is for KITKAT but check what you can get out of it. Good luck...

Sounds like you tried flashing a custom recovery and it failed or something went wrong with a system update. Try going over the tutorial again and copy exactly what I do, flashing the recovery again but correctly should fix your problem :)

When I get to the step when I hold Volume up+ Power+ Home, my device goes black and then flashes the Samsung start screen but then it goes back to the download screen and it says "Could not do normal boot" at the top. What do I do?
+Sir Lawrence McKinney Try turning your tablet off (if you're using the same tablet as I am in the video) if not remove the battery if you can, wait around 5 minutes and try again.
If this doesn't work load back into recovery and clear the cache and start again.

+MrKevlarr I made it to 1:07. At that step my device flashed the normal startup screen and then went back to the download screen with that message. How do I clear the cache?
+Sir Lawrence McKinney RIght so you got to flashing the recovery and it failed. You need to reboot into recovery which is holding the Volume, power and home buttons and select clear cache and confirm it. After this you need to flash the recovery again and just as ODIN completes you need to quickly hold the same buttons to boot into recovery once again and then continue with the video.
My antivirus picked this up as a virus don't use I'd say
