The previous 4/4 mass band is so much more fun to play. I do understand why they changed it though. Makes the point of entry much easier for the entire percussion section. Cheers!
AcePercussion The Bass & Tenor Drums together play almost the same Beat while the Snare plays a Different Part. This is very akin to an Orchestra where the Cellos & Basses play the Double Octave Bass Line.
It looks like the tenor is playing one more beat than what is written in the 2nd and 6th measures. It sounds a little better that way (I think) but I am just trying to get us all on the same score.
Hi Laura, played as written! The extra note you're hearing is most likely just beat one, from the bass. Whether played or not by the tenor, it wouldn't affect the score at all!
Never seen a bass drum with arms and legs. Pretty neat.
