I always carry a flask of whiskey when I'm out in the woods for snakes, because you never know when you may run across a snake that drinks! Lol! ATB Sam Adler

I have only one suggestion, have a longer belt so you could wear it sling style if needed 🙂. However I love the utility belt kit.

Nice set up. I know you have had this video up for several years now. I have seen a lot of bushcraft belt set-up videos. I believe yours is the best there is. Your utility belt set-up is well thought of and well planned. Plus you can still add & subtract from it, as needed. Thank you for sharing your bushcraft belt with us.

This is all a really great setup and the practicality - even for pack people - is awesome. Cause a lot of folks don’t account for that very very BAD possibility: which is, what are you gonna do if you get indefinitely separated from your pack (or your otherwise entire gear loadout?) It’s INSANELY good to keep a really comprehensive array/load-out of the essential tools, containers, and/or consumables on a belt/harness that absolutely NEVER comes off unless you’re sleeping. AND in your pack. Yeah, it’s a little bit of extra weight. But I’d rather have too much paracord (or whatever else) than not enough.

Very nice! I have a scout belt made of 1 3\4 inch harness leather, DRings front and rear, small 12 oz canteen, a pouch on the rear that holds four altoid tins, small knife with light, modular design to add Laplander saw, various firearms holsters, depending if I can open carry in an area. Other pouches Nothing is loose and swings on belt for hiking. I can wear it under or over jacket. Comfortable for up to 10 mile hikes.First aid for cuts and b stings. Emergency blanket, tape to wrap ankles, knees

Nice set up. Looks like lots of thought went into it. One thing I personally would think of adding is a small fishing kit for food procurement. The small flask is a good touch for those cold days.

    Nice kit
I agree with your philosophy, my belt kit consists of a Helikon-Tex Foxtrot MKII belt pouch mounted on a ridged pistol belt and shoulder straps, it's very comfortable especially when carrying a liter of water!

That's a beautiful folding knife. I've never seen one like that. You could probably use your ferro rod for selfdefence if needed. It would be interesting to see how many fires it could start if you had a few weeks to spare. That's a nice belt you've put together.

I use a pair of work suspenders/braces that take all the weight off your waist
Wearing belts are hard for both thin waisted and heavier waisted people
    Suspenders solves the problem

A great video on a piece of kit that is often overlooked. Back in the late eighties, my original set up was the US issue ALICE set up with an issue KBar (inverted on the suspenders).

I don't know if you will see this, but I thought maybe you or someone else might find this useful. Something that I have found works great for cleaning/ unclogging a DC4/CC4 (or any diamond or ceramic stone for that matter) is either a pencil eraser or a "magic eraser" it seems to help them work better for longer. I hope this helps someone. Have a great, safe day and thank you for reading.

It's a really smart belt set you have there. There are some good arguments for having them, really good. The small pocket larch with strong whiskey could well be a number bigger, I'd probably say two numbers bigger. haha

Have a look at the yugoslavian mess kit for your belt. You have a square waterbottle, and cooking pot and 2 plastic cups that all fit together and a cutlery set it comes in a canvas pouch. Its an option to consider. I can't fault it.

Being exforces I love messing with my kit, it's an organic process that develops with time, your belts given me some good ideas so thanks. I'm thinking of maybe adding some kind of harness or leather braces to mine like a webbing belt that can unclip on and off easily and mabe have a fitted sling on the back so you can carry larger tools like an larger axe and saw etc on your back? There's probably something like that already. Great vid mate. 👍

You might want to mount a number of items horizontally on your belt. Your knife for example would be easier to withdraw and doesn't interfere with walking, rubbing against the side of your leg. That's what I did with mine. Also I vised and hammered an aluminum tubing into an oval and drilled lightening holes in it and covered it over with Wilson tennis wrap. My saw blade goes in one end and my Mora knife sits in the opposite end. I remove the saw blade and screw and wing nut it to the inside end of the modified tube for cutting wood. I've removed my Mora knife with attached heat moldable plastic protecting the edge, the knife placed in my pocket during wood cutting. The modified tube is mounted horizontally to my belt.

You have a nice setup on your utility belt, but you have too much on your belt in my opinion. I keep my main knife, canteen, multi-tool, and one light on my belt. Everything else is in my backpack including most of my food. After being in the military for 24 years I got use to carrying certain items on my person and food was the first to be added and I now use a utility belt which was issued to me along with the canteen issued to me also along with it's case. You almost don't need a backpack since most of what you will need is on your belt.

Suspenders or it will get irritating. Can't stand a weighted belt. Suspenders let you loosen the belt

i'll never understand why people do not take a lighter with them along with their kit... it just makes zero sense. if i had to make a mini survival kit i'd put a mini map + Compass + mini lighter + swiss army knife + mini led light and that would just be in a altoid can i would still take more important things like a gun, water, radio, food, shelter, cloths, first aid. but ultimitaly i would never go out into the wilderness just to go out i'd have to be in full survival mode as a last resort type of thing.

@@BushwackerMan is it possible to list all the items in the video in the comments by any chance? Doesn't have to be super detailed in the make or type. For example "knife" would do if that's okay? Easier for me to follow cos the video is long haha. Sorry! 😞 hope that'd okay?
