You guys did a great job in demonstrating the ASW17. She is a great bird and I love mine. I fly using a 2600 4S and she carries the weight well. Here in NE Florida on a typical hot day I've caught thermals and stayed up easily for over an hour.
It flies better than my volantex 2.5 Meter birds and balances well. It a little more expensive than my volantex models [of which I have over half a dozen] but I can clearly see why.
Again...Great demo.
Hi Rich and nice review! Sadly there aren´t so much gliding guys analyzing the model. It should take a much deeper review of it´s gliding characteristics but it´s nice to see anyway :D
Flying large cheapish Gliders is so much fun, takes Your mind up there with Them.
The UMX ones are awesome too. Dude flew perfect with this Beast.

Thanks Jono! This one is really not a cheapy! it has a very dense foam and a full length plastic leading edge sheathing that makes this model really durable. It has an aluminum sparbox and two screw in composite metal spars that make for a solid wing spar. Its sweet and glides fantastic!
I've got one myself. around 300 euros. it's not a great thermal flyer but it's great in the mountains.
Its first time for Adam flying a glider, that obviously fact. He use by far too much the motor.

The ASW-17 is a super flier. Love mine. The only thing I'd change is that I'd rather have spoilers than flaps. But, it's great fun as it is.
