I have a tactical lunch pail as well different camo pattern and every time I go to work they ask to look inside to make sure I'm not carrying contraband 😅😅😂😂
@@Bob808Knight I also fill the bottles 1/2 full or so, lay them on their side in the freezer. Fill them with water when ya use them. Nice ice cold water when ya need it.
I want another Maxpedition Chow Down, I regret ever giving mine to my son, every time i go camping i wish i still had it, it was the best Tactical Lunch Box i ever had. I currently have the HSD (HighSpeedDaddy) LARGE Tactical Lunch Box and its okay but it doesn't hold a candle to the Chow Down...
I Google searched the lunch box... it looks freaking awesome. I want to go see if I can purchase one... nope it's been discontinued. I wonder why they did that?
@@Bob808Knight Hi Bob, I actually got mine on clearance back when they discontinued it and it was $79.99 +Shipping, down from $199.99 i think. i have since bid on a couple on eBay, once at $150 and the other at $177.77 and still didnt win. it was a hugely popular Maxpedition item. I dont see why they discontinued it either but I wont miss the next one that comes up lol, if one ever does. like i said its the best cooler i ever owned, if you put 6 frozen bottles of water in it and dont open it it for three days in 80 degree heat the water will have hardly melted... I dont know what the liner is made of but its outstanding at insolating the contents from the outside...
I checked out their website and man they've got some nice products. But expensive. Wow three days. I'm lucky to get one day out of mine with the blue eyes. If I ever see one I'm going to grab it. Thanks for the heads up
@@Bob808Knight Don't mention it Bob, I got tired of buying the cheap Chinese gear over and over again and then one of the guys online sent me his old Maxpedition Condor II 3 day assault pack (which i am still using today) and i was hooked. Now all my gear is either Maxpedition or MagForce, Maxpeditions sister company. Both are designed in the USA and assembled in Taiwan but it is world class gear and made from 1024 D Ballistic Nylon with waterproof coating. i have bags 10+ years old that are still not even broke in. You buy Maxpedition you buy it once and you own it for life. As far as a good substitute cooler/lunch bag, i recommend the HSD High Speed Daddy, i have since bought a few tactical lunch bags after giving up my Chow Down and the HSG is the second best i found, the LARGE is perfect and i have beat the hell out of mine and its still going. Picked it up on eBay for i think $35 + shipping, One of the guys with the Chow Down review recommended it as a cheaper alternative to the Chow Down so i picked a couple of them up both the SMALL and the LARGE and i prefer the LARGE, i can get enough meat and other cold foods in it for 3 days and if the steak starts out frozen it will still be ice cold if not partially frozen 48 hours later.
Yes but don't keep them in the mesh pocket they get hung up when you try to take them out. Keep them in the upper section for easier access.. you can put roughly six of them in there. Eight if you're really pack them in
