- Learn to tie a great variation of a classic streamer. The complex twist bugger has been around for a few years now thanks to the guys over at Fly Fish Food and has caught tons of fish for us. This technique of blending schlappen and polar chenille can be used on all sorts of flies to make durable flashy bodies. Tie a few up and go fishing!

Tail: MFC Barred Marabou
Flash: Kyrstal Flash
Body: Dyed Pearl Diamond Braid
Hackle: Shlappen/Polar Chenille

I like your version better than Cheech's which I find too bulky.
Barney, thanks for watching! You're right, I wanted to tie this fly with less bulk in the main body. Honestly, if I'm cranking out a bunch of these just to fill up my box I'll sometimes skip the under body entirely. I think it's all about that feather and flash movement.
