Currently have a 2017 q60rs 103,000 miles Have a few mods close to 500 hp had it for a little over 4 years. I drive it in New England as a daily through every snow storm. I absolutely love the car still. It has had pretty good reliability only had one issue the serpentine belt. Got that fix under warranty. Drives like a dream on the original turbos.
Awesome & glad to hear! 2018 Q60 RS AWD, owned as a CPO w/ 6.5k miles & now close 68k FBO for over 40k miles & running like a dream 💯🔥 Proper supporting bolt on’s, regular maintenance & good tuner is most important to make them reliable!
Me too I have a Q60 Redsport awd full bolt on on gas and the car hasn't given me any issues and I run it hard. I bought it brand new and it has 62000 miles on it.
Need to indicate who tune because I have a 2017 with 32k on it with full bolt on and it smokes like a chimney so keep it real!!! Always damaging the 3rd and 6th plug in the cylinder smashing it close .
Same here in January bought a certified used 2021 Redsport 30k miles for 37k OTD it was a good deal, for California at least. No issues thankfully ive already put 10k miles on it.
You overlooked the most important step in purchasing a used Q50... Especially for the 3.0T... An oil report is absolutely mandatory to protect from a possible porous block condition or engine wear that is out of standard deviation.

SOHO Motorsports has been doing all maintenance and upgrades, which consist of a heat exchanger, ECUTEK tune and their custom exhaust. All those upgrades came from your recommendation. Car is doing great, and those guys check it out every 3000K. The main thing I get each time I take my car in is that they can tell I don’t beat or race the car. If you take care of a Q it will take care of you. Respect from NC!!!!! 👊🏾
@@mikehinson5935Yep. Anyone who is looking to keep their car shouldn't want a body style change, because as soon as they do that, you'll be considered having the old body style and I'm not ready for that yet.
@@Mikegee63I hear ya but some cars body lines are timeless and I feel like this car will fall in that category. Plus, when manufacturers remodel a car it’s not necessarily a better looking car. I agree some people think they gotta keep up with the Jones’s.
2018 Sport tuned by AMS runs great and no issues. I did try another tuner just to see what the hype was about and the car ran like crap, lost power and had idle issues which they blamed on ECUTEC software and never fixed the issue. So back to AMS I went. You get what you pay for don’t go for these cheap tunes or someone always saying they are having a sale. Oh and I have 68K on the car and tunes for 50k of that.
The oil in the turbo from the pcv system is... Blowby gasses in the crankcase being recirculated into the intake side to be burned. Wouldn't be a problem except DIRECT INJECTION. Hence the reason and ABSOLUTE NEED for a catch can... I don't have a mic to drop. Lol
Boost question for you I have a 2018 q50 3.0t luxe about 110,000 miles. Never race it or drive it hard stay on top of maintenance. I recent just got a code 0448 do you know anything about it.
My friend has 16 Q50 redsport with 95k miles and I also have a 16 Q50 redsport with 50k miles we are both original owners and both cars is stock just Stillen rear sway bar that’s it no issues with the both cars.
Absolutely hated the feel of the open differential on the Infiniti Q50 Red Sport… absolutely never felt safe in it. Sold it and got an IS500 with Limited Slip. Much better car!

I had a 2020 Q50 Red sport, amazing handle and fun to drive. Its just Crazy they haven’t changed the body in 10 years !!!
It is crazy!! But this car has such beautiful lines it still doesn’t look old. I own an 18 and people still ask me if it’s new. I’ll take that.

Think you can delete the PCV system like b58s and just run a OCC ?

You can easily swap them on the q50 with aftermarket support

Hate the styling of the q50 ... Went with a genesis g70 3.3 instead, and still enjoy my M56
