thanks for taking the time to do this... my srx sunshade just started messing up when i tried to open it and i was hoping i could just glue the parts where the fabric unfolded, but now i am thinking otherwise.
Thank you for the video, It saved me a whole lot of guess work. One thing I did differently is I had the front edge clips about 2 inches from the rear of the travel and attached the clips and front edge BEFORE mounting the unit. It worked for me. Thank you again it was a huge help

Did you buy an aftermarket shade or from cadillac? I'm about to do this for my SRX. I got a quote from a local upholstery shop for $950. He told me that he would only use an OEM part because those aftermarket "do nothing" can you share with me if aftermarket is okay or OEM? Thx
This one comes from the dealer with a nice price of around $450. At time I had this job I couldn’t find any aftermarket sunshades for it nowhere. I would’ve gave the aftermarket one a shot to lower the cost for my client. It will save you a lot of money if you’re doing it yourself.

@@kreativemindzupholstery4250 yes I cleared them all. I don’t know if something is bent because it doesn’t open like the motor is forced. It’s a salvage title so might be that.

Yes, majority of the trim has clips.
My sun shade opens and closes half way there’s no sagging or nothing is it because the sunroof switch broke
Check your sunshade guide clips to see if it stays on track. Get a good look when it Opens and closes.

Straight from the dealership. It was a bit pricey too!

How did you remove the liner from the rail ? Does it just snap in ?
The headliner around the sunroof should just snap in.
