I've always found this music relaxing like a turnaround after things seemed bad. I can see how it could be sad though. A lot of messed up stuff can happen between instances of this music & some of it involves Toriel.

Probably my comment will get lost in the pile of others, but still. I’m a sergeant of Russian army. I stumbled upon this video for the first time just before I was assigned for long-range patrols. It was a cold winter. My night patrols were tough - snow, cold weather, lack of sleep. I was alone. I just had a rifle, a couple of magazines and cigarettes. And, to be honest, sometimes I was scared. Noone would want to go alone to patrol a shooting range, that’s surrounded by the forest full of wolves. However, the nights were beautiful. I could see many stars. And I don’t know why, but this song got stuck in my head somehow. It kept me awake. It warmed my heart, and maybe because of that, it kept me alive. You don’t want to become a food for a beast just because you fell asleep. And now, I stumble upon this video again two years later. That brought back feelings from the past. Humanity managed to pierce the sky, being able to travel a celestial range. The cosmos await, and the heavens beckon... One of the astronauts took the Moonbuggy out for a ride. As he rode, he gazed up at Earth, and longed for the day he'll get to come home after his mission is over. But the Earth distracted him. The Moonbuggy's tire hit a rock at full speed and flipped over. He bounced and fell unconscious by the trauma. He woke up in a deep crater, hearing warnings of low oxygen. Confused and disoriented, he couldn't think straight without much oxygen. The astronaut, wounded by its fall, barely got up. And yet, he found himself reaching out to a motherly figure. Is it an angel or a hallucination? Is it supernatural, or is the deprivation getting to him? Whatever the case, he absentmindedly proceeds. He couldn't help but hear a faint song. Almost like a lullaby, charming him to sleep. He's fallen down, and the lullaby almost has the feeling of "you've worked hard, why not take a rest? It's okay." He passed out in front of the motherly figure, only to find himself waking up again in a strange world filled with magic and monsters, suspecting the motherly figure brought him to his bed. Still not knowing what's going on, he wishes he'll never wake up or leave this fantastic place. Is it okay to abandon friends and family for a world of fantasy, and never want to come back? Will they miss you? "You don't deserve to be part of such a cruel world, my child. Goodnight." Is this all just a dream, or the afterlife? If the former, is it really such a bad one? If the latter, why does his guardian angel manifest in such a way? Either way, the astronaut hasn't a care in the world anymore. This is paradise.

So I'd like to tell a little story if you care to read. I was in a bad place mentally after college and was bouncing between jobs. I landed a job at a papermill and was working 48-52+ hrs a week on a sort of swing shift schedule (hard to remember those details). It was rough, I had no weekends off and couldn't see my friends/family and I was just alone. I had no time to read, play games or do anything art related and it sent me into the dark. Depression hit super hard like a brick to the face and I just spiraled downwards to the point where I was just in a pit of despair. It was a rainy winters day for me and I just got done shoveling coal from under a conveyor belt and was black from head to toe in coal sludge and dust. I was cold, wet and done with life. I broke down and absolutely wept. I had been listening to UA-cam on my broken headphones and this song came on. I heard the moonbase alpha voice/fallen down and it made me do a 360 in my head. It quickly turned from me crying in the cold to laughing in a coal tunnel that echoed as I tried to hold it back. That was the moment for me, just me listening to a funny little song in a dark coal tunnel. I'm better now, so much better. I work in IT for a hospital, I have time off to spend time with family/friends and I can finally draw again, which fills my heart with joy. To anyone going through a rough patch, please hold on you can do it. Please cry, it's okay to cry and be sad but you have to be strong and keep going. Shits tough but you're tougher and that's a fact, even when the world seems against you. Remember "Despite everything, it's still you."

I think the real strengths of this TTS is that it essentially can speak at any frequency, allowing it to do the detuned theme of Fallen Down very well. Technically, you can't properly play Fallen Down on a normal piano.

I saw a comment on this video a few years back, a comment from a Russian soldier who admitted this song kept him sane on those cold, starry nights on guard duty alone, hoping there were no wolves around. For some reason that story stuck with me. Dude could barely speak my language but had every bit of a human connection to music as me. You forget how similar we all are in the end.

This song makes me feel stuff that is so hard to put into words. The only thing that I could use to describe it is "existential". It doesn't remind me of happy memories or reminisce the past, instead it reminds me of a very strange feeling when I was a child. A feeling you get when questioning reality. The feeling of seeking a place that does not exist; a place that is neither out there or in any where. A comforting existential dread, if that makes any sense.

To me, toska is looking at my neighbor's yard Since 4th grade for 4 years, me and 4 others (including neighbor/his little brother) would go outside to his house. We'd make so many games, some serious, some stupid, but all of them had nuance and charm to them. We also made so many inside jokes it was incredible. When they moved in July, everybody was so sad. Nowadays, it's just me and the 2 other friends. Don't get me wrong, it's still fun going outside with them and we can still chat with the 2 who moved even though they're in Virginia now, but whenever I look at their house it pains me that entering would now be considered trespassing. It fills me with lots of nostalgia, with hints of sadness, desire, and peace. Thanks, guys, for creating awesome memories I will never forget

Undertale is rock hard evidence for the severe importance of music in video games. Its skillful compositions swept the entire internet in just a few years, with millions of people feeling incredibly strong emotions while listening to its melodies. I feel like the composer for the music of Ace Combat 7 had the same intentions, I don’t know if you’ve played it but the entire game was delayed because he wanted to create the perfect song for the last mission. The song is called “Daredevil” if I remember correctly, and they timed the vocals to when the shields go down on what was essentially a giant airplane drone hub that was threatening world peace.

You grew up playing your father's old games from when he was a kid, and you've absolutely fallen in love with the one called Undertale. Plot twist: the rescue ship goes away realizing that the hallucinating is getting worse but your still alive which makes no sense then you wake up noticing that none of it is real everything you have done was fake you haven't achieved anything....... And you will never will

I don't get it. I can't understand how. How this works, but... This song seems like it has no meaning, yet it somehow has every meaning in the world. It's so bizarre yet familiar. Strange, yet welcoming. Sorrowful, yet inspiring. Dead, yet alive. I've never been more stumped when it comes to describing how something makes me feel. But at the same time, I've never understood that feeling better. I should be frustrated at the lack of understanding, yet...somehow...I feel almost...freed. It's as if in the pursuit of finding an answer within myself, the only answer there is is that there is no answer. And that non-answer somehow has a more profound impact than any real answer could instill. To summarize: what the fuck.
The fallen down melody is actually really intriguing. According to a piano expert on UA-cam, fallen down is impossible to be played identically on a real piano. The flat, melancholy inducing tone of the song was made on a sound program which messes with wave lengths and bass and treble and other frequencies. This song is truly unique. Because it is seemingly designed to make you feel a longing, a need to regain what you once lost long ago, but now it is no more than a faded memory, that you can only feel in short fleeting moments. It's a simple yet amazing song.

I feel like it really comes down to the setting. If there is nothing else going on, then it is comforting but sad. If you are trying to do stuff and this is playing, it is horribly infuriating.
This song feels like loss. Not just the action of it, though, but the intense raw feeling of something being permanently gone and a strange, ominous, accepting essence that replaces what there was.

It's beautiful, it may be just a little joke meant to make us laugh, but it evokes a feeling of emptiness and loneliness, it makes you put this endless universe into perspective, makes you think how us, being smaller than a grain of sand in comparison to the universe, managed to create and give insignificant things a meaning. We think that there is a deeper meaning in life and death, but there isn't, it does not matter what you do, you will eventually die and be forgotten. But that does not mean you can't experience joy, sadness, anger, loss, hope, happiness, that does not mean you can't experience love. Live the best life you can, it may not matter in the end, but what you do now matters, it matters for you and for the ones around you. Make your mother proud.

Guys, I'm going to tell to everyone a weird thing with the song. I love Undertale. When I was 10, I got kidnapped, I was actually scared, but trying to calm down and think that everything was going to be okay. Fortunately, I managed to escape. Now I'm 16 and when I listen to this song makes me remember that sad moment, but too makes me think that everything is going to be okay and normal, now that I know so many things at this age. Everyone scares at every age. Even me. But you can live with hope too.

Just got into high school, during graduation from my previous school I saw some of my classmates who've been with me through thick and thin, crying, crying tears of joy and sadness, sadness that we wouldn't see each other again, because we were never that close, but we were still friends. Not friends enough to have each others contacts'. Keep in mind, this isn't one single person I'm talking about, this is a majority of the class, some of my friends remain with me, but very little. I didn't understand why they were crying, until I entered my new school. I know almost no one, and I'm a freshman, which makes it scarier because of the seniors. With this concept just imagine, you are a astronaut, whose space crashed and you are low on oxygen. You know you aren’t going to survive, so you just float around, waiting for death to do it’s part. You get memories of how you’re life was on earth, and think, “why did I even become a astronaut”. You’re oxygen is about to run out, and before you close your eyes, you see a lady with horns, and a robe. You reach out to her, and then you feel calm, and then you feel nothing at all.
give this character a backstory and set the year to 2037 it's probably a recollection of an undertale playthrough, pacifist maybe. it's been 22 years since he played undertale and he forgot but his brain made his life flash before his eyes and then death seems content in taking his life

So I've been struggling in life lately. Thoughts of killing myself have been on the rise, and I've just feel horrible. I found this song, and it just helps. I wrote this as a bit of a rant, and didn't really expect anyone to see this. Reading all the comments of support and kindness have given me some joy and happiness. I will say that I'm doing better, and that I am getting professional help.

I’m a sergeant of Russian army. I stumbled upon this video for the first time just before I was assigned for long-range patrols. It was a cold winter. My night patrols were tough - snow, cold weather, lack of sleep. I was alone. I just had a rifle, a couple of magazines and cigarettes. And, to be honest, sometimes I was scared. Noone would want to go alone to patrol a shooting range, that’s surrounded by the forest full of wolves.
However, the nights were beautiful. I could see many stars. And I don’t know why, but this song got stuck in my head somehow. It kept me awake. It warmed my heart, and maybe because of that, it kept me alive. You don’t want to become a food for a beast just because you fell asleep.
And now, I stumble upon this video again two years later. That brought back feelings from the past. And I want to say - thank you, friend.

A lost astronaut begins to visually and auditorily hallucinate due to oxygen deprivation, this is the result.
Humanity managed to pierce the sky, being able to travel a celestial range.
The cosmos await, and the heavens beckon...
One of the astronauts took the Moonbuggy out for a ride.
As he rode, he gazed up at Earth, and longed for the day he'll get to come home after his mission is over.
But the Earth distracted him.

Is it an angel or a hallucination?
Is it supernatural, or is the deprivation getting to him?
Whatever the case, he absentmindedly proceeds.
He couldn't help but hear a faint song.
Almost like a lullaby, charming him to sleep.
He's fallen down, and the lullaby almost has the feeling of "you've worked hard, why not take a rest? It's okay."
He passed out in front of the motherly figure, only to find himself waking up again in a strange world filled with magic and monsters, suspecting the motherly figure brought him to his bed.
Still not knowing what's going on, he wishes he'll never wake up or leave this fantastic place.
Is it okay to abandon friends and family for a world of fantasy, and never want to come back?
Will they miss you?

So I'd like to tell a little story if you care to read.
I was in a bad place mentally after college and was bouncing between jobs. I landed a job at a papermill and was working 48-52+ hrs a week on a sort of swing shift schedule (hard to remember those details). It was rough, I had no weekends off and couldn't see my friends/family and I was just alone. I had no time to read, play games or do anything art related and it sent me into the dark. Depression hit super hard like a brick to the face and I just spiraled downwards to the point where I was just in a pit of despair.
It was a rainy winters day for me and I just got done shoveling coal from under a conveyor belt and was black from head to toe in coal sludge and dust. I was cold, wet and done with life. I broke down and absolutely wept. I had been listening to UA-cam on my broken headphones and this song came on. I heard the moonbase alpha voice/fallen down and it made me do a 360 in my head. It quickly turned from me crying in the cold to laughing in a coal tunnel that echoed as I tried to hold it back. That was the moment for me, just me listening to a funny little song in a dark coal tunnel.
I'm better now, so much better. I work in IT for a hospital, I have time off to spend time with family/friends and I can finally draw again, which fills my heart with joy.
To anyone going through a rough patch, please hold on you can do it. Please cry, it's okay to cry and be sad but you have to be strong and keep going. Shits tough but you're tougher and that's a fact, even when the world seems against you.
Remember "Despite everything, it's still you."

I think the real strengths of this TTS is that it essentially can speak at any frequency, allowing it to do the detuned theme of Fallen Down very well. Technically, you can't properly play Fallen Down on a normal piano.

It doesn't remind me of happy memories or reminisce the past, instead it reminds me of a very strange feeling when I was a child. A feeling you get when questioning reality. Since 4th grade for 4 years, me and 4 others (including neighbor/his little brother) would go outside to his house. We'd make so many games, some serious, some stupid, but all of them had nuance and charm to them. We also made so many inside jokes it was incredible.
When they moved in July, everybody was so sad. Nowadays, it's just me and the 2 other friends. Don't get me wrong, it's still fun going outside with them and we can still chat with the 2 who moved even though they're in Virginia now, but whenever I look at their house it pains me that entering would now be considered trespassing. It fills me with lots of nostalgia, with hints of sadness, desire, and peace.

I feel like the composer for the music of Ace Combat 7 had the same intentions, I don’t know if you’ve played it but the entire game was delayed because he wanted to create the perfect song for the last mission. The song is called “Daredevil” if I remember correctly, and they timed the vocals to when the shields go down on what was essentially a giant airplane drone hub that was threatening world peace.

Ive finally encountered this again
You grew up playing your father's old games from when he was a kid, and you've absolutely fallen in love with the one called Undertale. Goat mom was your favorite character, but you haven't seen her in years. Fast forward, it's 2063, you're on the first manned mission to Mars. Everything is going well, but an unexpected asteroid hits your shuttle and sucks your crew into the vacuum of space. The only reason you've been spared is that you were doing spacewalk, checking any outside damage. You drift through space unable to even get a message back to Earth. You know that you're going to die out here, but you knew the risks when you accepted the mission. As you reach the last bits of oxygen left. you start to see your dear beloved character from childhood. You reach towards her in hopes to say goodbye to one last thing you loved...

The fallen down melody is actually really intriguing. According to a piano expert on UA-cam, fallen down is impossible to be played identically on a real piano. The flat, melancholy inducing tone of the song was made on a sound program which messes with wave lengths and bass and treble and other frequencies. This song is truly unique. Because it is seemingly designed to make you feel a longing, a need to regain what you once lost long ago, but now it is no more than a faded memory, that you can only feel in short fleeting moments. It's a simple yet amazing song.

Guys, I'm going to tell to everyone a weird thing with the song. I love Undertale. When I was 10, I got kidnapped, I was actually scared, but trying to calm down and think that everything was going to be okay. Fortunately, I managed to escape. Now I'm 16 and when I listen to this song makes me remember that sad moment, but too makes me think that everything is going to be okay and normal, now that I know so many things at this age. Everyone scares at every age. Even me. But you can live with hope too.

With this concept just imagine, you are a astronaut, whose space crashed and you are low on oxygen. You know you aren’t going to survive, so you just float around, waiting for death to do it’s part. You get memories of how you’re life was on earth, and think, “why did I even become a astronaut”. You’re oxygen is about to run out, and before you close your eyes, you see a lady with horns, and a robe. You reach out to her, and then you feel calm, and then you feel nothing at all.

So I've been struggling in life lately. Thoughts of killing myself have been on the rise, and I've just feel horrible. I found this song, and it just helps. There is something so oddly comforting about the melody, and it's became a comfort song for me.
Edit: I just want to thank everyone for their kindness and support. I wrote this as a bit of a rant, and didn't really expect anyone to see this. Reading all the comments of support and kindness have given me some joy and happiness. I will say that I'm doing better, and that I am getting professional help.
It's a rough time, I'm glad stuff like this can help until it's better.

I took a nap to this earlier today, woke up with it still playing. It was the most ethereal napping experience I've ever had, and my dreams were filled with visions of the man, mouth agape. It was so visceral to me, the guttural nature of his sincere and honest reaction to that information.
