Mike, I remember you once saying, ' If you buy a Peugeot 306, you'll never need another'. Mine's a 1997 XUD9TE 1.9 turbo diesel, which I've owned from new, now on 86,000 miles. Just got it MOT'd today and had the coolant changed, as I don't have a pit at home. I'm vigilant about oil and filter changes and have undersealed it every fifth year. No electronics and a simple mechanical fuel pump makes it supremely reliable.
I genuinely don't understand why I keep seeing this same boring comment in relation to every Vauxhall related video, Loads of cars share the same platform, is a Seat the same as an Audi or Skoda same as a VW? No but they share a platform.
We got rid of our transits, 2022 models due to unreliability issues and replaced them with vitos, never looked back! better economy more reliable and less maintenance, have a chat with fleet owners Mike.
1st to comment HAPPY BELATED XMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU MIKE , I AM PARALYSED FROM A BRAIN HEAMMORAGE ETC SO FIND IT VERY HARD MOVING ETC , BUT I WILL LIVE .
jlr absolute rubbish ingenium engine bottom of all reliability survey friend of mine had one after 12 months got shut always warning lights coming on mikes being paid to do this of manufactures
When you park your defender infront of the 5* hotel, just remember it might not be there when you come back…. Then you might wake up to reality and buy a Lexus RX, or Porsche cayenne!!
Been a professional dealer for 40 + years and I have to disagree about the Corsa also, second hand examples are nearly always bought by young drivers who rarely look after them, they break " alot" the wet belt engines are truly awful, ( same as Ford eco boost engines, just dreadful ) and even the earlier ones eat timing belts and camshafts, then we move on to Nissan ( or Renault in disguise ) not a patch on Nissan of old and the Ohh so reliable Datsun of times long past, in fact Nissan just had one of its worst years for reliability issues ! I'd be broke by now if I bought all these vehicles you recommend Mike, modern cars are not a patch on the simplicity of the 70's 80's and 90's machines, and don't even start me on the timeline for bringing petrol and diesel to an end ! 😮 but what do I care ? my time in the Motor Trade is fast coming to a close ..... thank goodness 😂
I think Mike knows what he's talking about he's been in the trade years unlike some of you guys making negative comments about some off the models chosen don't believe everything you read on the tippy happy 😂
Except for the toyota and maybe audi you listed the most unreliable cars 2024? Nissan are so bad look at 2016 models and the issues they have had in MOT
@joshua6244 Come on, this CVT fake story must stop! Yes they have a bit higher failure rate than normal automatic gearbox but most of them are good for the life of the car. I own a 2020 xtrail with 150K hard miles. No problems at all with the CVT. They are super smooth and relaxing to drive. Don't copy stupid American comments. They complain on every car they have. Even rolls roys!
Corsa dealers know they sell That’s not worthy or ANY awards Any Landrover / Rangerover are totally unreliable Transit YES this is correct Audi charge YOU to diagnose issues with their cars .. and NEVER agree design flaws at best you’ll get is ( dealer contribution to the repair ) so wrong again . Toyota good choice Nissan watch the unreliable auto gearboxes ( serious design flaw ) Sorry to be negative but people should know truth ! Glad no BMW’s were on the list cos they are about as bad as VW German engineering ? That’s a worry then !
The corser and landrover are rubbish with constant engin problems, Ford transit are excellent, just bad body work, very thin metal soon rusts RzS4 very good vehicle
As others have said your just reading an industry script, Nissans were great but not now, worst auto gear unit on the road, so bad, Nissan are going under/having to be bailed out by Renault.

Wow not what I expected at all .these have unbelievable depreciation
Okay but the Corsa since 2020? is really a Peugeot 208. A JLR product winning an award, other than an unreliability award!
I genuinely don't understand why I keep seeing this same boring comment in relation to every Vauxhall related video, Loads of cars share the same platform, is a Seat the same as an Audi or Skoda same as a VW? No but they share a platform.
its Great to see you back Doing what you do Best reviewing cars,All the best Mike m8ty.😁
You must know about the wet belt problems with Vauxhall and Ford. Buying a wetbelt Corsa used is like buying a timebomb.
Thanks for the video Mike! Happy New Year!
Never heard of the wetbelt problem on Vauxhall Corsas? Why are you recommending this car?
We got rid of our transits, 2022 models due to unreliability issues and replaced them with vitos, never looked back! better economy more reliable and less maintenance, have a chat with fleet owners Mike.
Meanwhile back in the real world.... Please tell me your being sponsored Mike ? 😂
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO
You can see the salesman in him

No mention of the Honda Jazz? Why?
Glad to see you on UA-cam again Mike. Hope you have a good New Year and we get to see some new TV content.

Is it April 1st already?!
JLR & Vauwhall 2 names at the top of the unreliable junk tree! WTF!!!!! 🙄🙈
where's Edd?
Happy New Year Mike! 😀
How did this guy ever become a respected commentator on cars?🤔🤣
I like the look of the 74 plate RS4 estate. Would you say it's "good value" at £115, 000 ?
Definitely not. Worth half of that after 5 years.
Transits are money pits ask anyone who’s bought one, forgot about the Wet Belts!!
When you park your defender infront of the 5* hotel, just remember it might not be there when you come back…. Then you might wake up to reality and buy a Lexus RX, or Porsche cayenne!!
Ahhaha so true!👍👍
I turned off when the land rover came on....
When's the next series of Wheeler dealers Mike , it' must be going on a year since World Tour finished which was the best.
Seeing other cars instead of top Japanese cars smells like bribe.

I thought Nissans had CVT gearboxes that were known for some serious problems that even warranties won’t cover. I don’t know if they still use them
Seriously vauxall. Shitty unreliable car .
I think Mike knows what he's talking about he's been in the trade years unlike some of you guys making negative comments about some off the models chosen don't believe everything you read on the tippy happy 😂
@@mikeowen1192 You’re right, he’s been in the trade for years so he is well versed in talking S***e!
These vehicles are that reliable, that the Japanese took over the industry, lol.
Except for the toyota and maybe audi you listed the most unreliable cars 2024?

Nissan CVT gearboxes..................
Erm, you think Audi is reliable?!
no

Transit YES this is correct
Audi charge YOU to diagnose issues with their cars .. and NEVER agree design flaws at best you’ll get is ( dealer contribution to the repair ) so wrong again .
Toyota good choice
Nissan watch the unreliable auto gearboxes ( serious design flaw )
Sorry to be negative but people should know truth !

Has the Transit got a wet belt?
You fluffed the word comfortably young Mike 😂👍
I thought this was a wind up. The Toyota Yaris is the only one i'd buy out of all those cars. What was he thinking.
@@DavidToyota999 He was maybe thinking "This is a nice little earner for my promoting reliability in cars that are anything but ! "
I watch again when Ed returns
Turn off then because no ed coming
@simonparkinson2432 good idea
What a bore you must be. Are you wanting a secret affair with Ed China. Very sad comment
The corser and landrover are rubbish with constant engin problems, Ford transit
are excellent, just bad body work, very thin metal soon rusts RzS4 very good vehicle
Transits have constant engine problems as well, think wet belt.
Cant disagree with the overall winner. We bought ours at three years old 18 months ago and it runs like a clock
What a load of shite👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
These weren't used cars!!? Used start start at three years old! No mention of long term reliability or problems! Stick to the magazine Which?.
Every time you turned right, you cut the corner.
Ford transit, seriously? Not heard of the wet belt issues?
Don’t fancy an Audi especially in the older less reliable models.
As others have said your just reading an industry script, Nissans were great but not now, worst auto gear unit on the road, so bad, Nissan are going under/having to be bailed out by Renault.
Avoid French & German, you won't go far wrong with Japanese & Korean.
Having owned a new kia for 6 years. I'd suggest not.
Kia deisel not good by all accounts in sportage
@@columcreaven8860 30k miles in our Hyundai hybrid, no problems at all
@@katmac532000 Hyundai are good
The Turbo AND dual clutch auto on my Hyundai i30 both failed only after 50k miles. Awful car
Sorry but most of these cars are rubbish in terms of reliability.
Such a Pratt
Lot of negative comment here, Mike. I like you, but a lot of what you say appears to be rather subjective.
And yet Honda are bailing Nissan out.
Vauxhall is basically a Peugeot now & with wet belt Stay away from wet belts Ford finally realised how bad they were
Sponsored 🐃💩
Mike you’ve lost the plot
What a crappy choice 😂
Some of these cars and vans are, well, crap. Wet belts, poor timing chains. I'm frankly flabbergasted.
This guy talks dross
Is this this an advert for shit cars apart from the Toyota?
