Its not unusual, years ago I spent nearly 2 hours with a couple looking at a car I was selling. Eventually they said we love the car, but cannot buy it. Why? because its green! They knew the colour before they came to look at the car and still wasted 2 hours.
I used to help a small car dealer on Saturday's in the 1980s, cleaning the cars and answering the phone etc when the dealer had nipped out, what a education I had. The dealer always said the hardest part of the job was buying the stock as he could sell anything. would I trust a car dealer? A BIG FAT NO.
I was in the trade for around 40 years. Most of that time used cars were fully prepared, service MOT etc, before it was photographed or went on the forecourt. If you don't prep a vehicle, you don't know what its stand in value is.
Brilliant video again ! So much to learn from you ❤ I shall open my Classic Car dealership in La Rochelle (France) by the end of 2025. In between, I learn following you 😊
I don’t understand why every used car dealer that is featured on UA-cam says the same thing. I’m a car guy, I’m passionate about what i do and I’m willingly working 7 days a week for no wages . I invested everything I have and someday hopefully I I’ll make a profit . In the meantime I’m ok with all the aggravation and hassle.
I bought a van from here a few months ago. It wasnt valeted, it had a knackered battery, knackered wiper blades, broken front spring and tyres only had 20psi in them, had to sort all this after I got it home. It needed a new timing belt and needed a service which I had to pay extra for. Dont believe the pitch.
"Everything's done in house" ??? 7:40 I would really like to know more about the flooring system Mike & the team have been developing ! And 5k for that flooring system in the 2nd Transit (but all done in house) ? All sounds too much like a salesmans waffle to me.
Tried this after COVID . The Transits shit themselves with cambelts and injectors. They aren't the quality of the T6 Transporters The problem is leisure vans are now declining the bubble has burst
I genuinely love following dealers on UA-cam, one of the most misunderstood groups in the world. Don't forget to tip your local car dealer, most of them run their business making 0 profit.
Don't agree with the MOT decision every car vehicle should have a fresh MOT before hand over for peace of mind and you dont open yourself up for issues.
I like Mike, He's a grafter, looking after his family and giving us all straight advice
I’m selling my daughters car from my driveway for £800 it’s 17 years old but Jesus people expect a new car . I don’t know how you guys do it full time

Nipped out? Like it got cold out and they became hard?

Really enjoyed that James, thanks.
Bring back Edd china he’s the real deal
Be intresting to get Mike's view on the ford wetbelt because I bet some of those customs have wet belts and it puts people off
He said they have a great engine lol.
@@davidnorton5887 as a typical used car salesman he will tell you anything you want to hear, LOL
A small margin if the buyer buys or finances it themselves, otherwise bunce to be made on finance / PX. Entertaining video.

The (retail) devil is in the detail. Also in engineering.
if i saw MB was going to try and sell me the car, i'd leave and go buy it somewhere else... James isn't to bad to be fair but not Mike.

*Margin* : And you have to provide the standard used car statutory guarantee, so that's another cost to the business.
We love Mike , hold out your hand. 👍🤣
Oooldoutyeeeeraaaaaaand!
mike brewer is a saint or a sheep in wolfs clothing , A+
Great diesel engines 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 💦 💨
Car Dealer magazine is a complete joke, they have their head up Mike brewers arse & also Peter Waddell. I see they’ve moved away from Waddell now.
