- 2nd update to the sweet corn that I've been growing in containers series.
They are 24 days old today!
I plan to keep this series updated every 1-2 weeks.
I learned a lot from last year's container grown corn so I'm hoping to fair much better this year!

Love your intro, my corn was taking forever to grow too, but when they got about a foot tall the squirrels got them. Your corn looks great!
Oooh... Sorry to hear that! I hope mine start to grow (and avoid squirrels!) quicker. I think we're due for some heat and they should've adjusted to the transplanting by now, so they should start to grow anytime soon. Thanks for watching!
Very I terested in seeing this, I have switched over to container gardening and wish to try corn. Thank you for sharing.
I would have never considered growing corn in small containers like this. I'm definitely intrigued. I'm looking forward to your next update. :)
Yeah, I did it last year and made a series about it. I did get a few ears (corn on the cob) but only partially germinated. I rushed them though and hand-pollinated due to rain - which was part of the problem. If they ever get to growing, I may do much better this year... We'll see. Thanks for watching!

I'm growing a sweet corn mix which all seem to be doing great, very tall and a nice green on the leaves, and I'm also growing a white corn mix and those are the ones that some of the leaves are turning yellow
Demi Garza make sure they have plenty of nitrogen and water.
Hey .. everyone Moniee-Mon, is listening thanks for the info vedios keep doing what'cha do best God bless ya!. I'm doing the same , and I trim my corn 😇
What ended up happening to the corn? Did it survive?
I'm growing 5 sweet corn plants
I love your videos. You should try growing your corn in the ground :)
I am this year! Just getting ready to sow some more this weekend. Thanks for watching!
:-) Cool. I am growing golden cross bantam this year. This is my first time growing corn.
I have seven seedlings up so far
I just planted five seeds. One in the ground, and for in a container in my bedroom.
:-) Have fun gardening.
I meant to say five seedlings. That's how many corn plans I have so far. I am also going to grow golden bantam
I planted five golden cross bantam seeds today
how are your corn seedlings doing?
Any update? :)
your corn stands up nice, mines kind of leans.
The wind and amount of sun will determine how they stand up... Obviously too much wind knocks them down and insufficient direct sunlight may cause them to lean as well.
+Rob Backyard Gardenerr Thanks👍
My corn plants are as big as yours but some of my plants leaves those long leaves are turning yellowish color is that supposed to happen?
Demi Garza sounds like it need nitrogen
@@RobBackyardGardenerr thank you!!!
Why is my corn plants yellow
Cliffhanger!! :)
What happened next?!
I am sorry about that! I got some corn borers and was gone for only 4 days and they destroyed all of my corn seedlings... SMH - we get the worst pests here in North Texas - from vine borers to corn borers, rats to rabbits, and to even Mocking Birds eating all of our fruits (peaches, grapes, tomatoes, and pears)... I'm giving it another go this year, but am doubtful without pesticide (which I won't use) or heavy neem oil (which I may). Sorry I missed this comment months ago! Thanks for watching!
Publishing your failures would at least help everyone expecting an update to be more informed so thanks for nothing dude.
Mark Zambelli I published my failures in series 2. Thanks for watching.
