Gassiev needs to take dance classes as his footwork is poor and he is not big enough to box in that style at HW. If he had lateral movement and could attack at different angles.. he may be much more effective at this weight class.
He doesn't even train. He admitted in the past he hates training. I was a fan but he narrowly got past a past it Lebedev. He stopped training hard after he won the title and got BIG money from the first fight in the WBSS.

Wallin was much more active. He handled Murat's power I saw that as a one sided fight he won almost every round. Murat looks very skilled and very athletic but I think he needs to throw more punches. I couldn't find the punch stats on this but it had to be at least 2 to 1.

Murat is such a good sports. He shakes hands with Otto after the loss, even if he knows that he could have won with just a little more luck in the judges scoring. I hope he gets a chance to face another high ranked opponent in the division.

Otto Wallin has learnt to keep his guard up. Too many boxers try to imitate Muhammad Ali's style by dancing and lowering their guard in order not to telegraph their punches. You must have extreme intuition, intelligens and reflexis to do so. Fury is the only one today who can do that. The first boxer who successfully practiced moving around in the ring with the arms hanging down was Joe Walcott. Robert Helenius tried but became an easy target for a boxers like AJ, Wilder and will get knocked out even by Otto Wallin if he doesn't keep his gloves high up and his body low.
Otto was able to take care of Murat's aggressive boxing style , Murat's prob against Otto was he kept coming forward with his head low so , gave Otto chance to gather points . That was the style that gave Lenox upper hand against Evander. The better side won.

Unfortunately.... I think the decision was fair, and what it should be. I was hoping Gassiev would win, but he kept getting jabbed all night long, and he simply didn't punch enough. He should've let his hands go free much earlier. Wallin is great, but Gassiev is better. This fight... his strategy simply didn't work. At heavyweight, he has too much reach disadvantage most of the time. He should develop the Peak-a-boo style like Mike Tyson. It worked for Mike and I think it'd work better for getting in on taller guys for Gassiev as well. Well, this was disappointing. I hope he stays boxing. He has enough talent to be in contention for the heavyweight title but he doesn't punch enough and he lets people punch him too much. Congrats to Wallin. Good strategy.
No doubt both Gassiev and Wallin deserves a title shot. Both of them are so skilled and that's why they were able to neutralize one another's qualities.
Ever since he moved up to hw Gassiev has looked very slow and sluggish, even lazy. He's never been the same fighter since losing to Usyk. Idk if he got off steroids or something or maybe his heart just isn't there but he's not the same fighter

Wallin was lucky Gassiev didn't fight a smarter fight. Such a clean fight. None of them was seeking to clinch. Both of them protected themselves efficiently. Gassier was in trouble only ones (the sixth round) and Wallin was in a similar situation a few rounds later. Wallin's jabbing made the difference. These guys belong to the best in the division. Only Fury and Wilder are somewhat better. Usyk is on the same level as Wallin and Gassiev. With a bit of luck Wallin could beat Usyk, but I doubt he'll get that chance. Gassiev's style fits Usyk perfectly, so Gassiev should avoid facing Usyk in a return fight, better to take on Parker or Chisora. Wallin deserves a shot at Usyk now or after yet another win among the ranked boxers. Finally Fury should be stripped of his WBC title and let others fight for it.
Wallin would not beat Usyk, not even once... even if they fight 20 times...what are you talking about? And how much better is Fury exactly? Such a clean fight. None of them was seeking to clinch. Both of them protected themselves efficiently. Gassier was in trouble only ones (the sixth round) and Wallin was in a similar situation a few rounds later. Wallin's jabbing made the difference. These guys belong to the best in the division. Only Fury and Wilder are somewhat better. Usyk is on the same level as Wallin and Gassiev. With a bit of luck Wallin could beat Usyk, but I doubt he'll get that chance. Gassiev's style fits Usyk perfectly, so Gassiev should avoid facing Usyk in a return fight, better to take on Parker or Chisora. Wallin deserves a shot at Usyk now or after yet another win among the ranked boxers. Finally Fury should be stripped of his WBC title and let others fight for it.
These guys are not top 10 come on, if Wallin is getting Hrgovic next he's getting sparkoed.

Wallin would not beat Usyk, not even once... even if they fight 20 times...what are you talking about? And how much better is Fury exactly? Because as far as I know, he almost got beat by Wallin, and If he hadn't been the WC, that cut would have been enough for the referee to stop de fight. So...I think Wallin is ready for Fury and Wilder, and will be tought for both of them. For Usyk it will be a walk in the park.

He's big and strong enough for HW, but Usyk already exposed his weakness. Gassiev must work on lateral movement to avoid jabs but he doesn't fight often enough to improve anymore.
