I’ve been to Vegas more than 50 times since 1979. My advice is if you want real good food at decent prices there, go where the locals go, off the strip.
Good Sunday Afternoon My Friend IAM Hoping That You Are Having A Blossoming Day I Totally Appreciate You For Sharing Another Extraordinary Video With All Of Us Much Blessings And Love Ms British Gray From Tampa Florida ;)
Nice video Jay, how about a video on the top 10 over priced restaurants in Las Vegas, prices are out of control these days and these restaurants needs to be called out!
Raising Cane’s in one of my favorites. We usually go south on Las Vegas Blvd and go to that one (of course if you have a car available) it’s really good. I can’t do the sauce, but I always have to have the Louisiana hot sauce!
Loved the video Jay, would love to see a follow up. Really enjoyed seeing momcation and dadcation in the video. 'Norma's just part of the channel now' 🙌🤣
Great to see the 'Cation family! Fav place to have breakfast is Mon Ami Gabi. Yes, you need to try the Beef Wellington and the sticky toffee pudding at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. So good. The Carlos Bakery cake slice from the vending machines is pretty good. I let them stand about 15 to 30 minutes before eating. BTW - "Twenty bucks is twenty bucks" 🤣
haha always fun to have the cation family! I was curious to see if the guy writing the names on the hats would be tame on me since i was filming... he was borderline! haha
Thios is my opinion. Mon Ami Gabi Lunch and dinner excellent as well as the onion soup Breakfast not so much. would like to see you try Bobby Flay sandwich in Paris .Guy Fieri at the Link . As for a fun experience Freemont Heart Attack grill Always enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work Maybe I will see you in Las Vegas sometime
Great fun informative video. Raising Canes is great and affordable. Cake looked good, $9 not terrible. Thank you. By the way your family is great. Love and follow Norma.
We went for breakfast at mon ami gabi and it took forever and the food was not even served warm... waffles, eggs, bacon etc not warm either. The waitress wasnt great either... $60 for breakfast... never again! I wish we had a diff experience but we went back to Vegas twice after that and didnt bother going bk to mon ami gabi. Their coffee was good though!! However Lavazza inside the Park MGM had wayyyyy better coffee to me.
Hey Jay I’m a big fan of Mon Ami Gabi . I’ve eaten there for brunch and dinner several times and it’s always awesome . The jury is still out on Gordon Ramsay restaurants. I had a horrible experience at Gordon Ramsay Pub at Caesar’s. The food was cold and service horrendous. I am giving him another try as I have a reservation for Gordon Ramsay Steak at Paris in May . Thankfully I’ll be using my $100 Diamond celebration reward to help soften the blow of the bill lol . Cool video sir 😎😎😎
@@Jaycation You earn it once you hit Diamond status . For example the new tier level for this year started in I think January or February and the celebration dinner was there immediately.
Just returned from Las Vegas and I’ve been going since 1979 also. But have really been a constant visitor the last 3 years with approximately 25 visits since August 2020. Visited two of Gordon Ramsay’s places this trimHis GR Kitchen at Harrahs was enjoyable with great service from Maria and then on my last evening meal before the RedEye home to Florida went to Planet Hollywood for the Burgers The $12 milkshakes and $25-35 burgers were worth the price the fries I’m never big on anyway so not so much

Do you have to book Mon Ami Gabi for breakfast? I keep hearing how it's one of the top places to visit and as we are staying at Paris this June it makes sense my wife and I to check it out.
I don't know if you've done it yet but it would be neat to do a walk-through of Chinatown with recommended places to eat and shop. I don't think anyone has done one of these
That would be funny if you were like, "Dick's Last Resort was overrated because the servers were too nice." Mon Ami Gabi was great when I went, but I always gravitate towards Hexx instead. Perhaps I need to balance things out.
Anything with a celebrity name on it, unless they are there I just can't jump on the hype train. I have always wondered how much actual input these chefs have on menu and quality control. I know it isn't on your list, but being a Californian, In Nout for sure is over rated.. but the food is a good alternative to typical fast food but nothing I would stand in line for.
Thanks for some of your recommendations. Maybe someday I might want to eat at Gordon Ramsey’s (but not on this trip or the next one). I still have to look up places to eat on the Strip and Fremont area (since this upcoming trip is going to be my first time visiting Las Vegas ever, I want to stay in the main tourist areas; I’m not ready to go off strip yet). I must say, your Dad is definitely a true American. We had a friend who visited the real Paris, and after a few days of eating croissants, she went to eat at McDonald’s (she also likes Chef Boyarde). For me, I have been to the real Paris before (I like the real Paris). Two things that the real Paris has that I want to do is see Jim Morrison’s grave (I did that years ago) and (I never did this before, but I REALLY want to) see the Catacombs of Paris (you get to be underground with a few million skeletons). But anyway, thank you for the recommendation of Gordon Ramsey’s and the Cake Boss vending machine (the Cake Boss thing, now that’s what I’m doing this trip). Strange question, but have you ever visited New York (the real one) before? If you’re looking for places to eat, don’t eat at Times Square (the food is overpriced and overrated). The Occulus at One World Trade Center has some good food options (try Eataly there). Another place to eat would be around Central Park (some good organic restaurants there) and at/nearby the High Line and Chelsea Market. Another way to find good places to eat and things to see is just by wandering around the city (you won’t believe how much fun that is!) But anyway, I really love your videos about Las Vegas (video recommendations like this always make any type of vacation better).
@@Jaycation Why thank you. By the way, if your Dad just happens to like the Las Vegas Paris over the real one, I actually respect his decision (plus, on my first trip to Las Vegas this year, I’m going to visit the Paris Resort, and much later on this year, the real Paris too!)
Unpopular opinion but I think Mon Ami Gabi is overrated. Service is fine. The food is nothing special. If you go, it's definitely for the ambience and views of the Bellagio fountains. The last time I went, I saw a cockroach crawling around the floor, which is normal for Vegas in the summer, but it killed the vibe.
Mon Ami Gabi is definitely overrated. If it wasn't in Vegas it might not be but with the options around in Vegas I don't see why so many people hype it up 👎👎
There are definitely some extremely overrated, overly hyped restaurants on the Las Vegas strip. For me personally the restaurant that I believe to be overhyped is mon ami gabi. Sure the location is great but the food is meager at best.
If you don’t create stories in your mind about what you see in life and brainstorm the possibilities then you might go through life naive and fail, right? On a side note, your read sweat outfit with the crucifix made me think you were some “high Monk” headed to the temple on a hill. LOL How do you run all that food off and still keep your figure? 😂😂
I’ve been to Vegas more than 50 times since 1979. My advice is if you want real good food at decent prices there, go where the locals go, off the strip.
agreed!
OK but what if you are from Europe and don't have a car plus also don't want to go off the strip? Where are the best cheap eats? Does anyone know any?
@@JohnnyVegas777 their are lots of good choices 1 mile off the strip. Take a cab or Uber.
@mreppen1 So by the time I've paid for a taxi there and back its cost the same. Doesn't seem worth it to me!
@@JohnnyVegas777 perhaps. I drive there usually and stay pretty much off strip.
