Hi Nick. I have read about some regions warning against multiple submissions of EOIs, even when submitted separately. For instance, according to Victoria, “You can only have 1 active ROI submitted at any time. You cannot submit a separate ROI for each subclass. If you wish to change the subclass or anything else on your ROI, you must withdraw the existing ROI and submit a new ROI.” What do you suggest, please?

I’m currently on a student visa, which limits me to 24 hours of work per week. I’m planning to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) for a 190 visa in Western Australia. I’ve been working for my employer for over a year, and they are interested in offering me a full-time contract. However, they are concerned about how long they would have to wait until I obtain full-time work rights. My question is: if I receive a state nomination from WA, will I gain full work rights immediately upon applying for the 190 visa, or would I need to wait until the visa is granted, which could take 1 or 2 years? If full work rights are not granted until the visa approval, it might not make sense for companies to offer a contract if they have to wait that long. However, according to the information on the state nomination website, the full-time contract start date must be within 3 months of the state nomination application. From this, I understand that within this timeframe, I would submit the EOI, receive an invitation, and apply for the 190 visa, which would then allow me to start my full-time contract on time while waiting for the visa grant. Can you help me with this please?
Hi mate, until you have received you new visa grant, your work rights will stay the same as your previous visa. Alternatively, there may be other visa (such as 482) that can have you work full time.
