Maybe you should also warn your viewers that there is a severe housing shortage in Australia too. Over 100,000 homeless Australians (10,000 children) and great competition for rentals as they are in very short supply, with rents rising fast. Worst cities affected are Melbourne, Sidney, Brisbane. (Eastern states). Darwin needs Nurses (Northern Territory), but housing is tight there also. Building trades are in need of qualified individuals in all states too. Migration is a Commonwealth responsibility so the Federal Government sets the rules although the states have input in which skilled areas they need most.
The govt knows better otherwise why shud they invite immigrants into their country if there are no houses

I have a pressing question which i don't seem to find answer for. I'm a medical lab scientist from Ghana. Can i add my one year national service which is likened to NYSC in Nigeria, to my work experience?

I have a question, this might not 100% relate to the video. I did a skill assessment and have positive feedback with conforming the years of experience, do I need employment service letters in the later part of the process (example: in the EOI stage or after getting an invitation or while applying for visa....)- (assessing authority - AIQS)
I would say that it is better to have any document you think may come in handy even if it is not required eventually. You do not submit any documents during EOI, but you may need it to apply for the PR visa.

Mandates are beind reduced and I think only employees in the medical field are mandated for the vaccine.

@@lifewithchioma The issue of proof Of funds is related to the whole contract of Employment. The thing here is individual states are communicating additional requirements to what national government is saying.
So If Queensland says they want 15 000 AUD as POF and one applies to QLD for State Nomination, won't Queensland then have a right to reject the EOI?

How long is the usual waiting time from the time you receive an invitation? I received my 190 invitation in March 2023 & have submitted my medicals. How much time do I still need to wait? Check out the skilled occupation list and check with the Assessing Authority in charge of social work as an occupation.
You will find the necessary criteria such as a minimum qualification of BSc in social work, IELTS Academic Exam with a minimum band score of 7 in all categories etc.

The 482 visa is not age restricted. That might be the most suitable visa option. However, it's a temporary visa. It may be worth checking with a migration agent what other options may be suitable for permanent residency.

When is the next round for NSW and VIC ? How much chance I will be nominated with 80 points under medical lab tech occupation.
You have to keep checking. The invitation rounds are not announced in advance. You will also have to find out what the chances are to be nominated at 80 points in your occupation. I don't have that information

Spouse visas in my observation take a lot longer (years) to process. The 190 is much quicker

Personally, I found the process straight forward, so I did not use an agent, but of course, you can always use one if you need further support.

There is no 'easiest' or 'fastest' route. Everything comes down to which visa you meet eligibility requirements for. It is up to you to do your research on the different pathways and decide which is best for you (check out my playlists).

You will have to check the assessing requirements from the assessing authority of whatever occupation you nominate. That's the only way to know if you meet the eligibility criteria.

Not all states require proof of funds. If the state you are interested in requires proof of funds, they will also have information about how much you need to show and what documents to provide, so please find out for yourself

I believe it is possible but I am no expert here. I wouldn't know if the requirement to have worked for your employer for a specific length of time applies to the 190 or 189 visa.

My question is can you apply to both visas at the same time? My other question is the selection for 189 applicants independent of those applying for visa 190 especially when both applicants have a 5 point difference as a result of point from state nomination?
Yes, you can apply for both. Doesn't matter if you are 5 points less on one option, as long as you're meeting the cutoff.
