Hi, Thank for the video it is very useful. I have same NVR I'm trying to connect 2 TB WD Elements external hard drive (For video backup) but its' not detecting can you please suggest? Note: 32Gb Pen drive works fine.
The video explaining was amazing and helpful. Had to figure out how to put clips evidences on a usb to give to the police tomorrow morning. It worked but I was wondering why the audio can't be heard after exporting them on the usb? Some audios will be need to be backed up with videos. Thanks for the great video. I even subscribed to learn more.
Do the cameras have a microphone? Some models (like mine I’m the video) just don’t. Make sure you are using cameras with microphones if you want to record audio and you also need to enable the audio recording. Most of the time people only record video. Audio recording is critical and some places don’t allow to record it. Check with a lawyer if you are allowed to record audio in the location you have your cameras installed.
@@bestsecuritydevices yes I do. Cam has mic and it's enabled with video audio recording. When I play back it on the DVR it can be heard. But when input it on a usb and plug it in the computer I only get video. But shows audio on the VLC media player. But no sound. Still trying to figure it out.
I have *five* different flash drives and none of them are being detected by my hikvision They all work on my laptop and desktop but specifically this security system it isn't detecting them. Any broad ideas someone could shoot me with ?

What type of flash drives? Can you please explain or send a link to a Amazon for example, so I can have a better idea
can we use ssd external for backup ?
How is your mouse connected? I'm only seeing 1 usb port, which would be for the thumbdrive, right?
The mouse is connected to the front port, it works in the back port as well.
@@bestsecuritydevices awesome, thanks! The way it's mounted I couldn't see the usb port on the front.
It's too bad hikvision systems aren't consistent in the order of operations across all dvr/nvr platforms.
thank you
You're welcome
What is the model of the device?
